(ANNA POV)

Sam decides that it'll be best if everyone shows up in their wolf forms. I ride on Paul's back since I still don't want Bella knowing that I'm a wolf. We arrive and I get off of Paul's back standing by him.

"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms," Edward says after reading Sam's mind.

"They came. That's what matters. Will you translate?" Carlisle says.

"Hey, Jake," Bella says walking to stand by him.

"Welcome. Jasper has experience with newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them," Carlisle begins.

"They want to know how the newborns are different from us," Edward says for Sam.

"They're a great deal stronger than us because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months of this life," Carlisle explains.

"Carlisle's right. That's why they are created. A newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them," Jasper says taking over. "The two most important things to remember are, first: Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly. The second: Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose." The pack gets a little uneasy. "Emmett? Don't hold back."

"Not in my nature," Emmett says and I slightly snort.

"Never lose focus," Jasper says when he beats Emmett. Edward and Carlisle then face off. Edward slams Carlisle into the ground thinking he has won and turns to Jasper.

"One more thing..." Jasper begins. Carlisle then takes Edward down. "Never turn your back on your enemy." Jasper and Rosalie fight then Jasper and Alice. Jasper thinks he wins against Alice but she disappears up a tree before landing on Jasper and winning.

"Some of you, are gonna get hurt. Some of you could get killed, because of me. It's gonna be a hundred times worse than this, right?" Bella says while petting Jake's head. I get back on Paul's back.

"We're done for the day," Edward says and the pack leaves.

The next day Jake and I meet Bella, Edward, and Jasper in the field where the battle will be.
"You're not fighting? What, you pull a muscle or something?" Jake asks Edward as we walk up.

"He's doing it for me. Okay?" Bella defends.

"Whatever. Just tell me the plan," Jake says.

"This field will give us an advantage in battle. We need to lure the newborns with Bella's scent. It needs to end here," Jasper explains.

"Edward and I are going to a campsite. Even if he carries me, they'll still pick up our scents," Bella says.

"Your stench, however, is revolting," Jasper says and I roll my eyes.

"Dude, you really don't want to start comparing stinks," Jake says getting defensive.

"What he means, is that your scent will mask mine if you carry me," Bella explains.

"Done," Jake says.

"This is not a good idea," Edward says and a small part of me can't help but agree.

"Edward. They won't want to get anywhere near his... odor," Jasper explains.

"Okay, let's just try it," Bella says and Jake picks her up.

"Eau de wolf, comin' up," Jake says heading into the woods. They make it back and Jasper follows the trail.

"All I picked up was wolf stench. No Bella. This will work," Jasper says when he comes back.

"Great," Edward says unenthusiastically.

It's now the evening before the battle. Edward, Bella, and I are waiting for Jake to show up to go up the mountain. I'll be following Edward up in hopes to hide his scent.

"You're going overboard," Edward says as Bella marks a tree with her blood.

"If this is all I can contribute, I want to be thorough," Bella states. They don't think I can hear them since I'm standing kinda far from them.

"The newborns will be frantic," Edward says.

"It's Okay. Don't make yourself uncomfortable," Bella says.

"It doesn't bother me anymore," Edward states.

"Since when?" Bella asks.

"Since I spent 24 hours thinking you were dead. You're not wearing your ring," Edward says. Edward proposed to Bella last night and she said yes. I roll my eyes over the fact that my sister is marrying a vampire.

"Well, I didn't want to risk losing it," Bella states.

"Or risk Jacob seeing it?" Edward asks.

"I think we should wait to tell him. I mean, at least till after the fight," Bella explains.

"If you're having second thoughts," Edward begins.

"I'm not," Bella says and I hear Jake getting near. I start walking over to them. "I just want him to have a clear head."

"Whose head is unclear?" Jake asks as he comes into view.

"Nobody's, I hope," Bella answers.

"Alice says there's a storm coming," Edward states.

"Yeah, I can feel it," Jake says.

"We should get going. I'll see you in a couple of hours," Edward says giving Bella a kiss. Jake and I share a nod. Edward takes off up the mountain. Jake picks up Bella and takes off as well. I phase before following Edward's scent up, trying to hide it.
