(ANNA POV)

"I love you, Jacob Black," I tell him. He then kisses me and it's like a bomb went off. Cheesy, I know but it just feels so right. We sit and stargaze for a little bit before going in and falling asleep. The next morning Seth, Jake, and I look outside to where Rosalie is playing with Renesmee. Jake and Seth eat the sandwiches that Esme and I made them. I turn to see Bella and Edward walk in.

"Wow. Done already?" Emmett asks from where he is sitting and reading the paper.

"Where's Renesmee?" Bella asks.

"Blondie stole her," Seth says as he stares outside at them. Jake comes and wraps his arm around my waist as he stands by me.

"Break a lot of stuff?" Emmett asks and I can't help but roll my eyes and smile at his teasing.

"Emmett. No," Bella says which cause Edward to snicker and Jake to smile. The phone then starts ringing. It's probably Charlie. "Is that Charlie?"

"He's been calling twice a day," Edward answers her. I lean back into Jake, knowing my father isn't doing so well.

"He's in pretty rough shape," Jake says as he rubs my arm in comfort.

"Eventually, we'll have to tell him you didn't make it," Carlisle says.

"He needs to mourn, Bella," Edward adds.

"Okay. We'll do it tomorrow," Bella agrees and I sigh, knowing that they will have to leave.

"I'm gonna miss this place," Emmett says as he stands up.

"We'll come back. We always do," Carlisle says. I then walk out of the room not wanting to hear more.

(JAKE POV)

Anna just left the room when the Cullen's started talking about leaving.

"Wait. Nobody said anything about leaving," Seth says worriedly as he finally looks away from Renesmee.

"Once people believe Bella's dead, we can't risk anyone seeing her," Carlisle explains.

"So you just disappear?" I ask worriedly about Anna being able to leave her sister and niece. Seth also can't be without his imprint.

"Jacob, Seth, we don't have another choice," Edward says sadly. I decide to go pay Charlie a visit. I find Charlie in the woods, chopping firewood.

"Hey. You heard anything?" Charlie asks when he sees me. Anna and I had come to see him the day after Renesmee was born but had lied to him about Bella.

"Charlie, Bella is...Uh..." I say as I try to think of the best way to go about this.

"No, she's not," Charlie says. Oh no, that way made it sound as if she was dead.

"No, no, no, I mean, she's fine. She's back home and she's feeling better. Anna is with her," I tell him.

"Why didn't you say so? That's great," He says as he walks past me.

"Wait. There's something you need to see first," I tell him as I come up with a crazy idea of how to make the Cullen's stay.

"I need to see Bella and Anna," Charlie says.

"Look, in order for Bella to get better, she had to change," I tell him. This is a stupid move but oh well.

"What do you mean, 'change'?" Charlie asks me.

"Here goes nothing," I say as I take my jacket off.

"What the hell are you doing?" Charlie asks me.

"You don't live in the world you think you do," I tell him as I take my shirt off.

"Jacob, put your clothes on," Charlie tells me.

"Now, this may seem strange," I say as I kick my boots off. "Really strange. But stranger things happen every day." I then unbutton my pants. "Trust me." I completely strip as I start to feel the heat radiate off of me. I then phase.

"Holy shit!" Charlie yells as he falls backward. I then lay down in front of him and whimper so he knows not to be afraid. I phase back and after explaining things to him, I head back to the Cullen's.

(ANNA POV)

I walk back inside to find that Jake had left. I then hear Jake's motorcycle coming up the driveway. I read his mind and see that he had phased in front of Charlie. I quickly rush outside.

"What did you do?" I ask Jake as Bella and Edward join us outside.

"Look, I solved a problem. You were leaving. What did you expect me to do?" Jake tells us.

"You don't realize the danger you've put him in. The Volturi will kill anyone who knows about us," Bella says angrily.

"No, I didn't tell him about you. Just me. I only said you were different," Jake explains.

"And that we have a niece who we adopted," Edward adds.

"I mean, seriously, Jake, he's not just gonna let that go," I tell him.

"Did you consider the physical pain he'll put Bella through? It'll be like sticking a white-hot branding iron down her throat. And that's assuming she can control her thirst," Edward explains which causes me to start pacing as I worry about my father.

"Look, Charlie's been in hell. And I know you'll be much happier with him in your life and you wouldn't have to leave Anna either," Jake tries to reason. I stop pacing as I realize he was doing it because he was worried about me.

"Jacob, don't try and pretend you're doing this for anyone but yourself and Seth," Edward says.

"Sorry you feel that way because he'll be here in 10 minutes," Jak says.

"What?" Bella and I ask shocked. Edward then takes Bella inside to get ready.

"Thank you for trying to help but you better hope that nothing happens to my father," I tell him before kissing him on the cheek.

"She's got this," Jake says with a smile which causes me to smile back. I then go inside to help Bella get ready. I take Renesmee from Rosalie and sit between Seth and Jake on the couch.

"These will irritate your eyes at first," Alice says as she puts contacts in Bella's eyes.

"The main thing is not to move too fast," Carlisle says.

"Try taking a seat. Crossing your legs," Esme says as Bella stands. Bella then flashes across the room and sits before crossing her legs slowly. "Maybe a tad slower."

"And blink at least three times a minute," Alice adds. Bella then blinks. "Good."

"For a cartoon character," Jake says and I nudge his arm.

"Hold your breath. It will help with the thirst," Carlisle says and Bella holds her breath.

"Just don't forget to move your shoulders so it looks like you're breathing," Edward says and Carlisle demonstrates. Bella then follows.

"And don't sit so straight. Humans don't do that," Rosalie says. Bella slightly slouches before getting up.

"Okay. I got it. Move around, blink, slouch," Bella says and we all smile before we hear Charlie's cruiser coming up the driveway. I hand Renesmee back to Rosalie.

"Good luck," Esme says as her, Carlisle, Alice, and Rosalie with Renesmee leaves the room. Seth heads outside to help Leah with patrol. I then walk downstairs and towards the door.

"Hello, Charlie," Carlisle says as he opens the door.

"Where's Bella and Anna?" Charlie asks.

"Dad!" I say as I rush over and hug him. "Come on, this way." I lead Charlie upstairs while Carlisle closes the door. Jake meets us at the top of the steps and nods at Charlie. I motion for Charlie to continue as I stop beside Jake. Charlie continues forward as Jake and I follow behind him. I grab onto Jake's hand in worry. Edward stands up as we enter the room.

"Bella," Charlie says.

"Hi, Dad," Bella says.

"Are you okay?" Charlie asks.

"Never better. Healthy as a horse," Bella says. Charlie then glances over to Jake who has his arm around my waist.

"You don't turn into an animal, too, do you?" Charlie asks unsure of himself.

"She wishes she was that awesome," Jake says as he pats Charlie on the shoulder.

"I'm the only one that awesome," I say as we all smile besides Charlie who looks a little scared.

"Let's give them some privacy," Edward says before he and Jake leave the room. Charlie and I then sit on either side of Bella.

"Uh, Jake said that this... This was necessary. What does that mean?" Charlie asks Bella.

"I really think it would be better..." Bella tries to say.

"I wanna know what happened to you," Charlie demands.

"I can't tell you," Bella says.

"I think I deserve an explanation," Charlie says.

"You do. But if you really need one, I can't stay here," Bella says.

"Oh, come on! No! No more going away!" Charlie says as he stands up.

"Dad, you're just gonna have to trust that for whatever reason, I'm alright. I'm more than alright. Can you live with that?" Bella tells him.

"Can I live with that? Well, I don't know, Bella. I mean, I just watched a kid I've known his entire life turn into a very large dog and he's apparently dating my other daughter who apparently can also turn into a large dog. My oldest daughter looks like my daughter. But doesn't," Charlie explains.

"Can you please just believe that we'll tell you anything that you need to know?" Bella says as she motions between me and her before standing.

"And I don't need to know this?" Charlie asks.

"No. Really, you don't," Bella answers,

"Well... Not gonna lose you again. I can't," Charlie says.

"Then you won't. I promise. Neither of you will," Bella says as she grabs my hand. Charlie then pulls Bella into a hug. He looks confused as he feels her temperature before he brings me into the hug as well.

"I missed you, Bells. So much," Charlie says.

"I missed you, Dad," Bella says. I pull away as Edward walks into the room with Renesmee.

"Charlie. This is Renesmee," Edward says as Bella and Charlie pull apart.

"Your niece?" Charlie asks as Bella walks over to stand beside Edward and Renesmee.

"Our daughter," Edward says.

"Right. The adoption," Charlie says. "Renee-semee?" He then really looks at her. "She's got your eyes, Bella. Need to know, I guess." Bella nods her head as Charlie kind of realizes that Renesmee isn't adopted. Renesmee then starts giggling causing everyone to smile. Charlie decides to leave not long after. I walk with him out to his cop car.

"So, you and Jacob?" Charlie asks.

"Yeah," I say with a happy smile.

"I know he'll treat you right. Come see me more often, especially since we need to discuss the whole large dog thing," Charlie says.

"I will and we're wolves Dad. Not dogs," I tell him with a smile before he drives off. I walk up the steps to where Bella and Edward are as Jasper and Emmett come outside.

"Well done, Bella. Never seen a newborn show that kind of restraint," Jasper says.

"I'm not sure she is a newborn. She's so tame," Emmett teases.

"Emmett, don't antagonize her. She's the strongest one in the house," Edward says which causes Emmett to scoff and crack his knuckles.

"Please," Emmett says. We all then head to the backyard where Emmett stacks two huge rocks on top of each other.

"Don't hurt yourself, Emmett," Edward says as Emmett and Bella get ready to arm wrestle.

"All right. On 3. 1, 2, 3!" Jasper calls out and they start. Emmett is able to slightly move Bella's arm. Which causes him to get cocky. Emmett then starts straining to move Bella's arm. Bella is able to start moving Emmett's arm and I can hear the rock start to crack. Bella slams Emmett's arm down which cracks the rock.

"Did you see that?" Bella asks excitedly. She then starts punching the rock into pieces. "Thank you." We all laugh at her.
