Hi everyone! So I decided to tell you a little about some things that inspired my book because why not? So let's start

So first of all, Theo is based on a mix of my best friend and myself. He has many qualities of my best friend but had a life similar to mine. The tattoo of a king from chess is identical to one of mine. His mom is based one of my grandmothers. His father is based on the father of another friend hahahah. 

April is based on an old aquantance and a girl I met here. And his sister is based on my brother but in girl form. April's home is derives from an old friend back from Italy. 

I came up with this book while listening to music and the song sometimes it snows in April from prince came on. It gave me the idea of making a book about grief and staying behind. I think in this book I'd like to teach people how devastating death sometimes is but that the sun will shine through eventually. In my opinion the worst about death was staying behind, especially when you're young. I wanna show that people can't mend your heart but they can soften the pain. And it's not scary to try and help. They may be tense when they first talk about it but eventually it will help. But don't feel ashamed if you dont know how to help! That's normal! And I want this book to reflect that death is a mountain you can weather
