Autumn Leaves

The changing of the leaves,
Brings a certain kind of feeling,
Of candy corns and crisp air,
And of nature nearly dreaming.

The leaves of summer say "Goodbye,"
To let the autumn through,
With its colors and its glory,
The chilliness that follows pays its dues.

And though we may complain,
That winter is treading near,
The fall between,
Is all we need,
For our ears to be ready to hear,
The silence of winters snow,
And see the dreary sky's lack of glow.
