I found a pair of shorts that I can now wear because it's extremely warm out.
They're kind of short but that's what everyone wears.
They make me feel good and confident.
But my mother says that they're too short.

She knows about my self-esteem and confidence issues.
She knows that these shorts make me feel better about the way I look.

But no.
I had to change into shorts that make me feel ugly.
