Y'all I see some posts from the Hamilton fandom and some people are out here being toxic af. And what's with making everyone in the fanfics gay/trans? It's lowkey becoming fetishism and I'm not living for it like..what the fuck. A lot of the time, dysphoria isn't even represented in the fics were they're trans or its focused entirely too much on their dysphoria. And the gay smut is sometimes just simply not realistic and done just for the sake of 'yaoi owo'.

That's it, I'm part of the American Revolution fandom lmao. I still like Hamilton but being associated with the fandom sometimes is just.. some people in it are wild.

And I'm not saying everyone has to portray people in it 100% accurately but I dunno.

I think I like the character building more than people explaining in their fanfics how 'flamboyant' Lafayette is and how much Laurens is an 'uwu turtle boy'. If I could erase most of the shit I wrote including that, I would. I never really went that far to do that but you get the idea. But that would mean getting rid of chapters of work and just.. ugh.

I do like some authors that use the musical appearances and all that but for Christ's sake stop with the fetishism! Or don't, I guess. It's a dying fandom anyway tbh. I'm 90% sure I'll be done doing this by the time I'm a freshman just so I can look back on my high school years as not sitting in my room writing fanfics for people who don't read them anymore.
