Ch. 20

Ch. 20
Beginning Again

Harry stepped through the barrier of Kings Cross to see one of his favorite sights, besides Ginny of course. A gleaming red train, shined to perfection, smoke pouring out onto the ceiling, and the sound of it's whistle piercing the air. They were slightly late, or course, and barely had time to stride across the barrier before the five minute whistle came.

Harry's mother kissed his cheek, his father patted his back, and his baby sister waved her chubby little hand in his face. He kissed her forehead lightly, feeling Ginny walk up beside him.

"Have a nice year, Harry." His mother smiled, giving Ginny a hug as well, "Don't let us hear of you two performing any dangerous deeds." She warned.

"Again." James added giving Harry a look. The boy rolled his eyes, departing from his parents' side, Ginny's hand in his, as he made his way onto the train.

Just as he stepped aboard, a sharp sound struck through the air, and the train snapped forward, getting ready to lug itself from the station. He slid through the door into the train silently, Ginny waiting for him on the other side.

You coming or not? Ginny teased, I'll turn seventeen by the time you get to the compartment.

Ginny had turned fourteen not long before. She had a quiet birthday, without any fuss. Harry's gift to her was a new broom kit, as well as his full attention for the rest of the day. It was nice, and she couldn't have asked for a better birthday.

Harry rolled his eyes, spotting an empty compartment just feet away from them, luckily, and opening the sliding door for her. She immediately sat by the window, and the train was out of the station, the sun casting a golden halo over her fiery red hair. He watched as she gazed over the clouds.

It's not polite to stare. Ginny's voice whispered into his mind. Harry rolled his eyes, though his cheeks felt hot, and sat beside her.

Shut up, Weasley. He grumbled, leaning his head against the wall behind him. Ginny laughed lightly beside him, shifting so that their legs were crossing and she leaned against the wall beside the window.

Make me. There it was. The tone of voice that indicated a teasing smirk. She was trying not to laugh at him as he pouted.

Fine, whatever. He said, refusing to look at her, I'll make you shut up.

Before she could react, he had kissed her quickly, wrapping his arms around her waist and placing his hands on her back and waist. Then he pulled away and brushed some of her hair out of her blushing face.

Ha-ha! I knew that'd shut you up. Harry said triumphantly and Ginny glared back at him.

That is NOT-

"Guys!" A voice shouted through the compartment and the Bonded turned, surprised, to see Hermione standing at the doorway with Ron behind her, "Finally. Thought we'd never get your attention."

"You were too busy making eyes at each other." Ron added, pretending to gag. Ginny swung her legs off of Harry's and leaned forward.

"We do not make eyes at each other? Why does everyone say we make eyes." Ginny scoffed, turning to look out the window. Hermione and Ron exchanged glances before sitting down.

"You heard about Malfoy?" Ron asked Harry, resting his arms on his knees and slouching over. Harry raised his eyebrows.

"No? What's he doing this time?" Ginny's attention was brought from the surrounding scenery and towards the boys' conversation. Ron shook his head.

"Harassing a poor second year. I'd like to smash his snobbish face in, to be honest. Saying that she'd be better off going back to the swamp she came from." Ron scoffed in disgust, scrunching his nose.

"What's her name?" Ginny asked, glancing at Harry.

"Fiona. Apparently she's a Muggleborn." Ron replied, eyes sliding over at Hermione, who looked outraged.

Ginny sighed, standing up and holding her hand out to Harry, "Let's go remind daddy's boy of who he's messing with, shall we?" She added a quick smirk at the end, and Harry quickly stood, taking her hand and wondering what she was talking about.

Then her idea rushed into his own mind and he grinned, eyes alight.

Sorry it's so short. While writing this my dog got sick all over my bed, so I just ended it after cleaning that up because I lost my train of thought. Anyway, what do you think Ginny'll do to Draco? Also, the next chapter won't take so long to upload. I'm sorry, it's testing this week and I've been really stressed. So yeah, there you go!
