Chapter twenty-nine

PART ONE OF THRIPLE UPDATE LETSS DO THIS

----------

Rachel's hair when she woke up was messy, as if it was a lion's mane. But George thought it was cute and kissed her cheek.

"George.." She mumbled, half-asleep.

"Yeah?"

"You look like Jesus..." She yawned and hid her face in the crook of his neck. "My own personal Jesus... My saviour..." She fell asleep again, snoring in his chest.

Maybe I should really get a haircut, George thought as he lifted the blanket to her chin.

----------

"Sheesh Gear, you need a haircut." John commented as he folded the bedroll.

"You too, John. Your hair looks like a bird's nest." He shot back with a smirk.

"A handsome bird nest," Paul pecked his lips.

"I look like a lion!" Rachel gasped at her reflection from the rear view mirror. "Roar! Fear me!" She made claw-like gestures at George.

He chuckled. "You're a kitty, Rach. I, however, have the fangs." He pretended to nibble on her neck like a vampire, earning a squeal.

"Ahaha George! George stop!"

"Oh daddy stop!" Paul mimicked in a high pitched voice.

Rachel shot him a glare, then a lightbulb appeared on top of her head.

"Dear diary," Rachel began in a deep voice. "I saw John Lennon today----"

"No no no no---" Paul panics, slapping his hand over her mouth.

Rachel struggles and manages to escape Paul's hand. "I saw him in the CD shop today--- mmmphh! Ahahaha! Paulie no!"

"Paulie yes!" He gave out a girly shriek when Rachel's fingers delved into his sides.

John grinned. "Macca, have you been writing things about me?"

The man turned red. "No!"

Rachel wiggled out of his arms. "Yes!"

----------

"Hello welcome to Boyd's salon--- George?"

His eyes widened. "Pattie?"

"Oh shit." Rachel heard John mutter.

---------

Pattie took a step back, as if she couldn't believe it was George Harrison himself in front of her.

"Damn Gear, you look like a hippie."

George ran a hand through his hair. "Not my fault that my hair grows quickly."

"Uh hey, Pattie!" John greeted, a nervous smile on his face. "That's Paul----"

"Hi." Paul waved.

"And that's---"

"Rachel." Pattie finished, eyes focused on the girl. "You're George's new girl, aren't you?"

"Uh-huh," She nodded slowly, almost carefully. Rachel was a bit thrown back by her cold eyes.

Then, Pattie grinned at her. "I'm Pattie Boyd," She extended her hand. "George's ex girlfriend."

When Rachel was about to shake her hand, Pattie withdrew it and flipped her hair. Rachel narrowed her eyes at her, Pattie simply smirked at her.

---------

Paul made sure Pattie didn't cut Rachel's hair.

I mean, who in their right mind would let your boyfriend's ex to cut your hair?

---------

"Well," Rachel began. "Who's going to cut my hair, then?"

"Me."

The guy was handsome, Rachel would give him that. He was probably in fifth place, with Zayn Malik in fourth, John in third (what? he was attractive!) and Paul in second and George, of course, in the first place. George was perfect, gorgeous inside and out. And Paul was just hands down fabulous.

Rachel tried to find the right words. "You... You look exactly like..."

"Buddy Holly?" The man chuckled. "I get that alot,"

The Buddy Holly guy did look exactly like him, down to the glasses and the curl of his hair, but his voice was much more different.

"Well mister "Buddy Holly", what's your name?" She asked, leaning against the salon chair.

"The name's Adam." He smiled at her. "You?"

She smiled back. "I'm Rach."

--------

"So...." Pattie began cautiously. "How're you two?"

George shrugged. "We're fine, Pat. She's lovely, extraordinary even." Pattie noticed a small smile threatening to form in his lips. "I love her and she loves me back. There's nothing more I want than that."

Pattie nodded, not knowing what to say other than: "That's good."

Snip.

Snip.

Snip.

"Pattie," George sighed. "I know you want to tell me something so go ahead."

Pattie frowned, eyebrows knitted, regret glinting in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, George." She mumbled, combing his hair.

Snip.

Snip.

Snip.

Pattie bit her lip, trying to find the right words to say. "I'm so fucking sorry I did that to you, Gear."

George nodded. "So are you... together now?"

Pattie laughed weakly. "Fucker dumped me two days after you did. But..." She gave him a small smile. "But I'm happy now."

George's expression softened and he looked at her through the mirror.

"You should be."

Snip.

Snip.

Snip.

"I missed you," She whispered, fully aware that his girlfriend was in the same room. "God--- That year, that entire fucking year, I've been looking up at the ceiling asking myself why on Earth I'd do that to a guy like you."

Snip.

George gave her a reassuring smile. "I forgive you Pat. If... If we haven't broke it off I wouldn't have met Rach."

Snip.

Pattie smiled back. "Gosh, you're smitten with her, aren't you?"

George nodded, watching as his black locks fell to the floor. He was still saving the stubble. Rachel said he looked hot with it.

"I am in love with her and always will be," He said, proudly, a grin forming in his face.

"That's fucking adorable." Pattie giggled, brushing the stray strands from his shoulders. "You see that guy cutting her hair?"

George took a quick glance for her scissors were close to his ear. "The Buddy Holly guy?"

She nodded. "That's my man right there. He's so perfect. Sometimes... Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve a guy as good as him."

George hummed. "Sometimes I think I don't deserve Rach too."

Pattie frowned. "But you do!"

He narrowed his eyes, looking down on his shoes. "I don't."

"You do!"

"Pattie--- gah!"

The girl spun the chair around, making George grip the armrests.

"Pattie!"

"You do." Pattie insisted. "That's what I thought then look what happened? We're fucking over by next week."

George looked shocked. "You never told me that---"

"You love her, she loves you, that's all that matters." Pattie placed her hands on her hips.

"I... You're right." George sighed. "You're fucking right."
