"Hey Claire, how's your arm?" I turned around to see that Lacie was standing a few feet away from me.

I closed my locker and turned to face her, she lightly smiled.

   "So you're talking to me now?" I asked.

   "Ya... Umm, I feel bad about the whole fight over Shawn... I should've never said what I had said." She told me quietly, she tucked a stray strand of her dark hair behind her ear, I sighed.

   "And?" I asked expectantly.

  "I miss being your best friend. I promise to never go after a guy that you've dated." She told me, a smile crept across my face.

   "I missed you too!" I said happily, I pulled her in for a hug and squeezed her tightly.

   "So how is your arm?" She giggled out, I let go and pulled back, her eyes landed on my green cast.

   "Oh... It's fine, the moose probably has it way worse!" I said, her eyes widened in shock.

   "Moose?" She asked seeming to be a little confused, I nodded with a laugh.

   "Ya, Shawn and I hit a moose in a canyon, long story short I broke my elbow." I told her, she laughed loudly after I finished speaking.

   "Wow! Strange... So how are things between you and Shawn?" She asked, I smiled.

    "We're in a good place right now." I answered shortly, she smiled.

  "Are you dating anyone?" I asked.

  "Umm... Don't be mad, but uhh ya... I am." She stated carefully, I grinned happy to know that Lacie was finally going for it.

   "Who is he? Do I know him?" I asked excitingly, her face grew worried.

   "Ya actually... You do." She told me.

  "Wait. Why would I be mad?" I asked, but then it all clicked in my brain, Lance.

   I turned on my heels and started down the hallway, I could hear her following not too far behind. 

   "Wait let me explain Clover!" She called, I stopped in my tracks and turned to face her.

   "You have no right to call me that! Not anymore and not ever!!! I can't believe it, I was this close to forgiving you!" I yelled, people began to stare, I saw Shawn standing a little ways behind Lacie, his mouth wide open in shock.  

    "Just don't talk to me anymore." I told her bluntly before turning and heading away from her and Shawn, but I knew he would follow.

   "Clover!" I heard him call, I didn't stop and exited the school doors.

   Before I could do anything else I sank to the cement and wrapped my arms around my legs as I buried my face into my knees.

Shawn's arms went around me moments later.

   "Why is everything so messed up?" I asked, he sighed and kissed the top of my head lightly.

   "We can fix it..." He whispered.
