Chapter 2
3rd POV (I added Magnus to the group because he's a demon as well)
Magnus, Raphael, Simon, and Luke were standing next to each-other tied to ropes just in case something went wrong and then a glossy film started to form around the Portal.
"A force-field is forming around it" Magnus yelled and everyone stopped, and then Simon went up to the Portal and reached out, but three feet before he could touch the rip in the fabric of reality. He was blasted back as a sort of rippling pulse rippled across the entire field and discharged into Simon's hand making him fly back and hit Luke. Knocking them both down to the ground. Three hours had gone by and the shield still hadn't changed, power, shape, nor size, and neither had the portal. Magnus had been studying the portal for the entire time and then he stepped back with a look of horror on his face. Alec immediately went up to him and put his hands on his shoulders with encouragement and friendliness.
"What? What did you find out about it?" he asked and Magnus sat down thinking about how it could be possible, and if his father had really found him after all of these years. Alec helped him calm down, and once he was good enough to talk again he had everyone sit in a circle around him. About a hundred feet from the portal.
"So what did you find out about it?" Clary asked and Magnus tapped his fingers on his knee debating on how to tell them, and after seeing that no other reason could explain it. He just told them blunt and head on.
"The portal leads to the deepest, and worst level of hell, it is also the realm that my father, Asmodeus, visits from time to time to torture and torment a creature so dangerous that it was a rival to Lucifer himself" he said "I had read about many myths and folks about a monster that was so powerful it could destroy dimensions, but one day it went into hell, and couldn't get back out. Lucifer had realized how powerful it really was and cast it into the deepest level of hell in unbreakable chains so that it wouldn't overthrow him, or just destroy him and his realm. I hope for our sake that it is just a long dead myth, for all our sakes."
"Wait so you're saying that there's a creature just past that portal that could destroy the dimension of Hell if it wanted to" Jace said and Magnus nodded slightly.
"No, if it could" he said and Jace, as long as everyone else, were shocked by this news. Raphael was the first to stand up, and Magnus stood up as well and looked at him "I know what you're thinking Raphael, but it can't be done"
"Well if we found enough Warlocks then we could close it" he said defensively "you could close it" Raphael jabbed a finger in Magnus' chest, and Clary agreed with Raphael saying that it could work.
"No that's not how it works" he said "it made the portal, and only whatever created the portal can close it. It is too strong for us to forcibly close ourselves, and if we tried to then it would know and blast us away while it emerges through it" and as if the Portal heard this it brightened, and Alec had gotten half of the institution outside with swords ready to battle it if needed. They stood in battle formation, with swords, staffs, and a few spears and bows, ready to run the creature through if it proved hostile.
Then the Portal flashed, so bright that it blinded everyone around for a little while causing them all to drop their weapons and cover their eyes in pain. When the flash was gone a giant creature stood in-front of the portal. The force-field disappeared from around the Portal and the creature breathed black fire into the portal, and it went on fro so long that everyone was able to grab their weapons and get into ready position only to see the big creature breathing a constant wave of black fire into the Portal. Its feet were a black and purple at the front claws, and black and seemingly covered in fire on the back claws. Magnus looked at the creature in pure fear, and Simon, Luke, and Raphael were too shocked to think about anything, and all the others were in shock and slightly amazed by the beauty of the dangerous creature. Its eyes seemed to be glowing, the same color as the portal like it was connected to it somehow.
Then it stopped it's wave of fire, opened it's mouth, and ate the portal whole closing it. The creature's eyes' blue-purple color had faded to show them as pure silver. It's body was covered in burns, cuts, and bite-marks, as well as long scars, some new, and others very, very old. Black blood dripped from all over it's body, hissing and sizzling against the ground as it touched life, before taking and destroying the life turning the area completely black like it's been ravaged by lava. Then the IronMaidens arrived and they didn't look like they were happy.
Dragon's POV
Once I closed the portal I smelled Demon and Angel blood, and then there was a large gust of wind and I looked down to see a bunch of what were they again, female humans, yeah. They were coming down through a small army of other humans that were less armored. My tail lashed behind me and I looked back for a second to see a long pole of earthen metal with wires attached to it, and a lamp attacked to the top of it where it bent out and over a sort of black earthen path that more humans sat in metal boxes rolling down the black path. I turned around curious to why they were in it, and I changed the fabric of reality to see inside of it, and be able to move through it without being felt, or seen.
They seemed to be sitting on a sort of cushion, and I moved through the box and to the other side as they got out of the car and seemed to pull something smaller out of it's yellow skinned legs. The other humans across the street I knew were wearing armor, and they could see me perfectly well, but I didn't care about them at the moment, unless the interrupted my learning then I would do something about them. It put the little box back into their skin where it disappeared, and I was further confused. I shrank down till I was about the size of the bigger box that the human had gotten back into and put their heads on the circular thing sticking out from the front of it, and I realized that I couldn't hear anything. I would fix it later, but I reached through the car and touched the smaller box making it disappear from the humans pocket and onto the ground outside of the car in the green live on the side of the black path. I activated a learning rune on the side of my body before growing to the size of the building and touching the little box on the ground.
Information flooded into my mind and I lay down to not get off balanced from it. I learned of the human race, their languages, weapons, actions, likes and dislikes to each-other in the past and present, and the things that they had, how they evolved using technology, their folklore, lore, myths, and other things. Once I was done I stepped off of the phone to see that it was now black in a puddle of water. Then I looked at the other armored people on the other side of the street, and the phone held no information about them besides the fact that the armored group of women could be Valkyries, Maidens, and/or something else. I grew to normal size and walked across the road letting my hold on reality loose and once they seemed to recognize me again, and they got ready again. I shrunk to the size of a horse and went up to the leading woman in armor.
She had two long swords like the others were holding, and one second they were in her hands at a ready position, and then they were cutting through the air. I ducked and rolled in the air before swiping a claw out and cutting through the metal with a loud metallic ringing that resound throughout the entire area. She looked at the blade in awe and confusion before bending down and picking up the four other pieces on the ground.
"I came over here to talk, human, not fight" I said and she looked up shocked with a face full of surprise "yeah I can speak your language, and I know all about your race, all of it, but what I don't know is what you and your fellow warriors are, nor do I know what it is guarding us from being seen by the mortal world, what you guys do in the enchanted buildings you come from. The one over there, and the one that you all came from, I want to know why those demons are still alive, and why you have two Angel-bloods under your wing, and I want to know why in...hmm, why you attacked me in the first place. I didn't harm them, and I haven't burned you all to ash, so why do you think that I would be hostile towards this world?"
I was hissing in anger, towering over her as I grew to the size of a house, and then I closed my eyes and returned to the size of a horse as I calmed down. I smelled something different, strange here as well, and I shot into the air and looked for the source of the scent. Then I dived and was about to cut across the offspring of my torturer's neck when I noticed something odd. The girl of angel blood was watching me, I was going at a speed faster than anything known to this dimension, and yet her eyes were still moving. Tracking me. I landed behind the offspring for a second before shooting back up into the air and landing in-front of her.
Once everyone realized what had happened, and the offspring was blown back by the large pocket of wind I let pile-up in-front of it. Three people got in my way, first was a vampire with a blade like the others, then the other angel-blood with a blade as well, and then a forest-brown timber wolf that was larger than normal and had a slightly darker coat than normal. I huffed and shot up keeping my eye on her to make sure that I wasn't seeing things and I wasn't, her eyes were clearly following my every move. How is that possible? She would have to be an, oh, she was an angel-blooded angel blessed human. That's why, angels were able to follow my movements, but if I was going as fast as I was now then they wouldn't be able to prevent all of my attacks. Especially since I could just cut off their wings and then their head with my tail while they were falling, and in pain. I landed back in-front of the lead woman that had originally attacked me and I huffed in annoyance before repairing her sword, telling her that I would come back later for an explanation, shooting up into the sky, and onto the top of the big church-like building before laying down and going to sleep.
Thanks for reading and I'll have another chapter out soon.
