"You want me to get married?!"

Mina widened her eyes as her father sipped his coffee cup as he was avoiding the fire that was blazing within Mina's eyes. It was the next day, and Mina had to wake up to listen to this nonsense early in the morning. Her step-mother laughed to herself as she was munching on a piece of morning roll, as she couldn't contain her excitement. Mina and her parents were sitting in the resting area of her father's study as there was no one else in the room.

"You're playing around and not actually getting a job."

"Father, I told you I'm interested in hotel management."

"Then get married to someone that owns hotels."

"I want to get to the position with my own power."

The conversation started to get a little more heated as her father placed the empty cup onto the table. He turned his gaze from the cup and towards Mina, as he was clearly upset from the whole situation. Placing his hand on top of Mina's, he said with sincerity, "I made a promise to send you off to a well-educated and rounded family that can provide for you. And, you are able to do whatever you want when you meet their son."

"Father, you know that I don't want to get married. "

"Mina, you leave me with no choice."

"Father."

"Mindy."

Mina froze instantly when her father said her English name with such a cold, blunt tone. He never called her by her English name unless he was extremely upset with her. She blinked a couple of times to rethink before turning to her step-mother, who was sneering behind the coffee cup. Her father soon let go of her hand, before staring at the wall across the room.

"My decision is final. You will go on a blind date with the most likely candidate. And you will get married to him. Your mother has picked a fine, young man."

He then stood up to leave the room as the silence seeped into the atmosphere. The step-mother placed her cup down as she then was about to leave the room as well. But Mina stopped her instantly as she glared at her step-mother and muttered, "It's all your fault."

"Mina, sweetie...your father came to this decision a few days ago. I just agreed to help him."

"You're such a fake person. Such a witch."

"Mina-"

Mina stood up immediately and stormed out of the study as her step-mother watched her from afar. She continued to laugh to herself as she remembered convincing her husband to marry off Mina in order to get rid of the possible candidate to inherit the company.

"Father, what do you mean by this?"

Bomin confusingly looked at his father in desperation as he wished it was untrue. Breakfast in the Choi Family involved them talking about random things that would not be suitable at the dinner table. His father was still clearly upset about the news that Myungsoo delivered last night, and this was the result of it. The toast and eggs were completely forgotten in front of Bomin as he continued to search for the answers within his question as he looked at his mother. But his mother did not even glance at him as she continued to eat slowly to ignore the gaze from her son.

"Father."

His father placed his fork down on the table in a loud manner, which made Somi jump in surprise as she did not expect it. Somi looked over at the two as the mood around the table was turning even sourer. Myungsoo excused himself from the table as she did, ignoring the fact that the situation turned sour because of his little tattletale behavior.

His father finally answered after finishing the remaining bits of food on his plate, "You're getting engaged to a fine lady. Your actions must be cleared up as the image of the hotel will be destroyed if people start to create rumors of your continuous visits to the clubs. It's better if you get settled down and start a family."

"Did Myungsoo hyung tell you about the club? Father, that's not true."

His father ignored his comments and pleads as he stood up from the table without another word, as he made his way towards the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee waiting for him. He then made his way towards the patio to drink his morning coffee and read his newspaper. Somi bit her lip quietly as she also started to excuse herself from the table as Bomin's mother and Bomin was left alone at the table.

Bomin's mother was looking at her plate still before she spoke up to break the silence, "I know it was not you. But your father is really tired of you going to clubs and meeting ladies who do not know how to put their lives together. He really is just worried for you as well."

Bomin couldn't believe his own ears as his mother supported him just last week of not getting married. But even his own mother betrayed him as she stood up from the table as if it was the break of their promise as she too left the table without another word. The world started to collide within his head as his fists clenched angrily due to the news he received. He knew he had to pay back his gratitude towards Myungsoo by winning the inheritance.
