thirty-two
"What made you change your mind?"
Lia flipped her hair to the side as she rested her back against Mina's main chair as the two girls were sitting in Mina's office. She glanced towards Mina, who was dumbfounded as she was sitting at her desk to get the final touches to her plan. Lia chuckled under her breathe as she took a big sigh before standing back up to glance at Mina.
Her gaze was somewhat unpleasant as she continued to glare at the other before she spoke up, "You're playing with two guys."
"That has nothing to do with our conversation right now."
Lia shrugged her shoulders before she approached Mina's desk as she glared down at the other before answering shortly after, "Hyunsuk is someone you shouldn't get your dirty money on."
"Again, that's not-"
"If you're going to commit to Bomin, then stay with him. Leave Hyunsuk alone."
"What gives you the right-?
Lia slammed her hands against the desk which caught Mina off guard as the two girls stare at each other angrily as Lia interrupted her once more from speaking, "Hyunsuk doesn't have true feelings for you. So back off. Bomin already declared that he's going to get married to you so quit-"
"He did what?"
A loud slap echoed through the office as Bomin clutched onto his cheek with a weak yet angered laughter through the office. He turned his head towards the angered bride-to-be as Mina screamed at him, "What the fuck are you saying?! When did you come to this decision?"
"Why not? I think it's a great idea. Why would you want to not be together when the whole world could be ours."
The sarcasm didn't do much to help Mina's anger simmer as Bomin walked towards the window of the office as he then continued to speak more seriously this time, "I thought about it. Long...for a long time. While you were putting up a show with your boy-toy that we purchased together, I just needed some extra push to believe that perhaps we were truly meant to be. I mean if you marry me, you get to do all the hotel shit that you want to do. You get to own this hotel and the new one in Japan."
Bomin paused for a second before facing her to continue his speech that he prepared for her if she came running to him as angry as he expected, "But if you don't marry me, think of how your inheritance will disappear under your name and how you won't be part of this hotel business."
He tried to find some expression within Mina but it was just pure anger because he was selfishly didn't negotiate with her. That's when it clicked inside Mina. Bomin will never the perfect candidate because he only thought for himself; he was the exact replica of Mina but worse because he had everything that Mina wanted for her success.
"You're pathetic for wanting this marriage. We even used someone."
Bomin chuckled loudly even more that got Mina more aggrevated as he walked towards her as he spoke, "We sure did, didn't we. But whenever I see you looking at that boy's poor soul, I think to myself that we sure played with the wrong soul...and that the great, single Kang Mindy would fall for someone worthless."
"Don't speak of him like that-"
"See, you're all angry. You only think about your own little feelings towards him...does he like you back? You think he does, don't you? You don't know anything that happened between us boys."
"What are you blabbering about-"
"Talk to him about the deal that he took from me. And then come back to nag me. Well, if you can even nag me in the first place."
Lia played with her fingers as she turned to glance at Bomin who was busily typing on his computer to get some work done. She walked over to him as she asked him, "So did you tell her the truth?"
"Why would I, it's more fun if she finds out herself...although, it would be nice to see her reactions of being betrayed."
Lia rolled her eyes as she replied back curiously, "Why do you want her to find out so badly? Your money can go to waste since you have so much of it."
Bomin turned his head to look up at Lia, who was curiously glanced at him working as he rested his back against the chair. He fiddled with a pen that was resting on the desk before he picked it up. There was a few moments of silence with the air conditioner filling in the void. Lia was getting curious by the moment but Bomin soon answered her as he replied back with quite annoyed tone, "I will not share anything with someone....even if she is doomed to get married with me. Nothing will get to be hers....and no one will get to have her as well."
"A little psychotic, don't you think?"
"Yes, it quite is. Everyone has a psychotic attribute in their personality...surprised you just discovered mine."
"Well, it just surprises me at times when you talk about Mina."
"And what about you? You came waltzing into my office again to try and see if Hyunsuk will ever get back with you."
Lia backed up a little from the desk when she felt him getting a little more angrier by the second as she was getting a little anxious from the feeling of him getting riled up. He stood up slowly as he stared her quietly as Lia was getting a little more uncomfortable as she rested her back against the wall to have some defense. "If you think of it a little more positively, you might get a chance to cure the sadness that Hyunsuk is going to receieve."
"What do you mean? Didn't you say that you paid him to just play around with her?"
"I'm afraid...that the fake couple actually fell for one another. And they're going to need a lot of help when Hyunsuk reveals his true intention for the greed of money."
