thirty-three

Hyunsuk worriedly fixed his hair against the mirror as he was anxious and nervous as he tried to calm himself down every second. But even not one bit of excited feeling could be felt because he was about to throw himself under a boat for the guilt he has been building in the meanwhile. He felt like he needed to tell her immediately because the feelings he had for her was genuine but with the wrong circumstances as a formation. He was willing to give up what he built because that's how much he was willing to let go. He was also thinking of moving with his family members, but he wanted to perhaps leave the whole country.

Jinyoung had taken part of helping him find a nice restaurant and colorful decorations for the venue he rented out. Jinyoung was curious to why Hyunsuk was doing all this, but he had no guts to tell his friends since he was extremely in the wrong. He arrived to the location much earlier than the promised time; he made sure everything was quite well and somewhat magical to what Mina would be used to.

Sitting in the reserved room, he waited with an anxious heartbeat as one of the servers entered into the room to notify that Mina entered the restaurant premises. As he gripped onto the bright, yellow flowers in his hands as he took a deep breathe to look over at Mina who was entering the room. He was definitely taken aback as he didn't believe his eyes as he never imagined to see Mina like this.

She was wearing a simple yellow t-shirt with tight, ripped black jeans. She has her hair up in a ponytail as he never really seen her up as much as he thought he would. She was wearing simple makeup with small accessories, and she was wearing black high-tops that are platform as well. You can't forget about the handbag as she carried her Chanel black clutch since she didn't want to go too plain with the look. All in all, it sure left a big impression on Hyunsuk who was speechless.

He was left quite breathless as he always wanted to see her in a plain outfit without all the sparkles and glitters. He stood there frozen for awhile as Mina was quite impressed with how he decorated the room with his black suit moment as she did find him more attractive with a suit on. She stared at his hands which gripped so tightly on the flowers as she then spoke up first, "Are those for me?"

It took a few seconds for Hyunsuk to clear his throat and return back to his normal state of behavior. "Yes, I didn't know if you wanted roses or not...so I just prepared what looked nice...."

"And it matches my shirt."

"Yes, it does."

"What do you think about my outfit?"

"Not to be weird or anything...but I think you look beautiful in just a simple top."

Hyunsuk confessed as he handed her the flowers, which she could tell he was being sincere as he seemed to really like her plain look. They both made their way towards the table of food that he ordered as he held her chair out as a real gentleman. She laughed under her breathe as she sat down to adjust her clothes before glancing over Hyunsuk, who had the server pour some wine into their glasses.

Mina looked around as she realized that a lot of the decorations were a little crooked, which definitely meant that Hyunsuk probably had up putting these up. She was keen on these small details as she knew that Hyunsuk was too nervous to even think of the details since he was always meticulous to not get anything incorrect.

They ate in peace in contrast as there was soft music playing in the background, and Hyunsuk still was not confident enough on telling the truth. He didn't want to seem obviously weird about it, but he was afraid that Mina might soon catch up with his odd behavior. She already noticed it when she first walked in, but she didn't want to mention anything to the latter until he opened his own mouth.

"I have something to say."

Hyunsuk placed his utensils down on the table as he took a quick sip of his wine, as Mina was still chewing on her steak as she placed her attention on him. The room felt too quiet after that since all Hyunsuk could feel was his blood gushing to the top of his head as he was getting more and more afraid of what he wanted to. He managed to calm himself down before speaking up after a pause, "I've been lying to you."

Mina stopped chewing momentarily as Hyunsuk already imagined the scene ahead with him telling her everything, and all the money in the world that he had would be returned to her. She would definitely never see him again, and his heart would be broken for a long time afterwards. However, she then continued to chew as if nothing was ever said which left the male confused and slightly more terrified than before. But he continued the conversation as he added slowly, "I know I'm going to be a real bastard if I say this...Bomin and I made a deal...and I really regret it."

Without a single hesitation, Mina placed her utensils down onto the table as she interrupted him from speaking more, "You have a choice. Either you tell him that you told the truth and return the money...or you run away where no one can find you."

Hyunsuk blinked quickly as he was taken aback and confused to how Mina already knew about the deal. He honestly believed that she did not know a single thing because he didn't do much to try and move her heart. But he could hear the hesitation in her voice and the uneasiness in her tone, but she tried to mask it as if she was alright and that nothing was wrong.

He hated to admit that he wanted to do the latter, but something was stopping him. He gained the courage and the audacity to ask a final question, "Do you know how I truly feel?"

"I'm sure you know how I feel....now, go run away. Never return.....don't let him find you. I really want you to disappear from my face...because I love you...and I need you. But, I won't hold onto you."
