thirty-six

Turning his head to glance at his new wife, Bomin rolled his eyes to himself as Mina was busily typing on her computer. She had to move in with Bomin's family as she was forced to do so by her father, and they had to share the same bedroom since they were now a married couple. But obviously, they can't stand each other's guts so Bomin often slept in his study. The two barely talked to each other as they only really were in the same room when they were working since Mina was busily working at the hotel.

Bomin cracked his knuckles quietly to himself as he spoke up arrogantly, "So how do you think of the investment for the hotel in Australia? Don't you want to go there and see it for yourself?"

"I don't need to. There is so much work back here and Japan that I have no time for Australia."

"I know you sent Lia there."

"She wanted to try and scope the place since she said she wanted to help me out for thinking of creative ideas to help the hotel find more amusing to more tourists."

Bomin cursed in his head as he knew that Mina would not easily bend, but he had no time leftover. He needed to quickly find Hyunsuk and get him to confess so that he could get the family line broken. Without finding that evidence, he has to stay low and keep quiet. He also made sure to have private investigators follow after Lia so that he could find out where she would be headed to. But he got no information back of where she went since Mina had hid her well.

Mina watched Bomin leave the room so that he could go to the restroom, and she found herself laughing to herself due to how anxious Bomin was becoming. She sighed to herself as she opened her phone to find a deleted photo of her and Bomin together. She missed his personality to worry about everything but have a persona to not really care. She also missed the little things that they did together that she never really did anything of that sort on her own. And she just missed Hyunsuk.

Hyunsuk agreed to have Lia stay over at the guest room so that they could figure out a game plan without needing to travel around. She didn't really seem to care about where she was since Lia has started to become more humble by doing the dishes when he wasn't around, and cleaning up afterwards.

Lia decided to just roam around the house so that she doesn't attract the attention of people who might be following afterwards. Hyunsuk would leave the house to pick up groceries and get necessities as Lia had requests for things since she couldn't go around easily. And she made sure to update Mina with a code that they developed so that Bomin would not find it suspicious. She also made sure to use an IP address that was unavailable so that people couldn't try to find it.

After a few days, Hyunsuk was getting tired of Lia being around him so he asked with frustration, "When are you planning to leave?"

"I can't....don't you remember Mina's words?"

"I know, but you can't just sit around at my place...don't you have anything else to accomplish for her?"

"I can't do anything until she gives me a command to move. Why do you think I'm just sitting here?!"

Lia yelled annoyingly as she raised her hands in defeat as she rested against his couch. Hyunsuk sighed and shook his head before a phone call started to ring loudly among the pair. Lia's eyes widened as she checked her phone as she gasped loudly as they both turned to make eye contact. Hyunsuk watched as the phone continued to ring annoyingly as Lia didn't know what to do as the caller ID was something they both expected sooner or later.

Bomin clenched onto his phone as he glared at the contact he was calling as Lia was not picking up at all. He glanced at his secretary as they both shared a quick nod of finding Lia's location to find her as he was 100% sure that she would be with Hyunsuk right now. The secretary hurried out of the office as Mina entered the office personally to deliver some files so that he could review it.

"Lia isn't picking up my calls."

"What does that have to do with me?" Mina crooked her head to the side as she shrugged her shoulders, dropping the files onto Bomin's desk as he glared at her with bitterness.

"Call her then, right here. Right now."

"Why would I? You're trying to frame us for something you're scheming in your crooked brain of yours...such a sad sight to see. I see why no girls lined up to marry you."

Bomin felt his blood boil even more as Mina continued to taunt him, turning her head to glance at the window where he actually didn't bring in the sun as the room was only brightened by the lamp on his desk. She chuckled under her breathe as she then slowly started to let in the sunshine into the dark presence of the room as she spoke up once more, "Let some sunshine in, sweetie. Father is going to be worried that I'm making you suffer if he sees how pale you are."

Bomin clenched his fists under his desk as he bitterly watched her leave the room after claiming that she would visit him during lunch to retrieve the files. He groaned under his breathe as the sunlight hit the back of his neck as he loosened his tight tie, angrily swearing under his breathe, "I will...destroy you and your petty confidence....just you wait, Kang Mina."
