Flaunting her status, she walked around the department store with her designer heels that made loud footsteps on the tile, white floors. All heads were turned towards the mysterious female as she exited the mall with loads of shopping bags within her fingers. Designer clothes, shoes, and car...she was the definition of a privileged chaebol within her family.

Her name was Kang Mina.

She was the only female family member within one of the well-known chaebols within South Korea.

KANG COSMETICS was the biggest makeup company within South Korea with a multitude of businesses that branched of the cosmetics company like a clothing store, a line for baby products, etc. She was not interested in her family business as she graduated with a degree in hotel management. She wanted to find someone who would satisfy her desires to manage a hotel.

Being this successful at 24 years old, Mina often spent her time shopping and reading as she was not interested in working currently. Her family provided her the money to spend as she would use it for her satisfaction. Her twin brother, Kang Jaemin, was the total opposite. He worked for the money as he was already part of the family business as a general manager of one of the stores that the family was in charge of.

Looking around, Mina started to drive towards her residence which was a literal castle. She parked the car in front of the driveway which the butler immediately handled the rest as she strolled inside with her bags of clothes. She was greeted by the maids who were all waiting for her and made her way into the dining area just in time for dinner.

Jaemin looked over at her with an unimpressed expression as she made a small announcement, "Sorry for being late. I didn't know that the department had new clothes laid out."

The Kang Family was a huge household. Her mother and father were the ones in charge. Her oldest brother, Kang Jeonghan, was already reaching his milestone of turning thirty. He was the most trusted by his father, but he has the duality of being devious. The second older brother, Kang Hanbin, was nothing like Jeonghan. He was warmer and less invested in gaining what he wants. He favored Mina the most as she got along with him the best. He was turning 28 already which he needed to go to the military soon.

The youngest, Kang Daehwi, was the worst of them all. He was the mixture of her step-mother and Jeonghan. He was only a senior in high school, and he was the most ambitious out of all the siblings.

The twins were illegitimate children as they were the result of CEO Kang falling in love with a mysterious lady in New York City when he escaped the grasp of his first wife. After he divorced from the oldest siblings' mother, he met Shin Ah-Young, who was the twins' mother. The mother died right after she gave birth to them, and he managed to take care of the children until they got old enough to travel to South Korea.

He then fell in love with Daehwi's mother, who was the current wife of all the children. She was very ambitious towards the inheritance which attracted CEO Kang. She bore Daehwi, and she made sure that he also held the same ambitious desires.

Jeonghan's huge grudge against his father never simmered which explained his continuous desires to take over the company when his father decided on the ultimate heir for the CEO position. And this can be seen over the dining table as Jeonghan groaned to himself as Mina smiled innocently at their father.

Dinner was served as a full plate of well-done steak, vegetables, and rice was served over the table. There was also a plate full of sausages and onions, salad, and some kimchi in front of the family members. It was a fusion styled dinner tonight which was Mina's most favorite. Some form of classical music was also playing in the background as Jaemin quietly hummed along as he ate. Jeonghan and his father were discussing issues about the company, Hanbin was too busy eating, her step-mother always just babying Daehwi, and the twins relied on each other.

It was always like this.
