The bouquet of flowers was naturally given towards her as a sign of peace as Bomin disinterestedly smiled at Mina with the best he could. They were meeting in a restaurant that was located inside Bomin's hotel. Though she really did not want to, Mina arrived to the meeting place as planned as it was a command from her father. She accepted it within her hands and forced a smile before thanking him.
Bomin was dressed the best he could as his mother made sure he did. Wearing a black tuxedo with a dark red tie completed the look as his visuals made the outfit merely as an accessory. As for Mina, she paid little attention to what she might wear. She wore a pair of gray, high-waisted trousers and a light pink blouse. To complete her look, she wore a gray beret with black high heels as Bomin was much taller than she was.
Anyone from the outside drooled over how beautiful their visuals were. They actually made a great visual couple as the two had beautiful features that surely would create jealousy by those who watched from afar. Their fake smiles masked how they both truly felt about the marriage which was the least of their concerns at the moment.
Mina looked around at the restaurant as it was empty as Bomin seemed to have listened to her thoughts, "Oh, we actually rented out the whole place. I wanted some privacy to get to know you."
Mina then turned her attention at the other before laughing loudly at his comment. She rested back against her chair and crossed her leg which was not the "proper etiquette of a lady" before her hands mindlessly played with the utensils in front of her. She knew about Bomin's background and replied back heartlessly, "I know about your personality. The girls and the money...all of it is to make your father upset. You really don't want to get married."
Bomin crossed his arms in response as he also leaned back on his chair in amusement. He tilted his head towards the side as if he was studying Mina's expression as he responded with a slight smirk, "So you are aware of what my intentions are?"
"Obviously....to get the inheritance no?"
"Well, partially true."
Mina rolled her eyes in response as she watched the waiter serve a full plate of beautifully decorated steak and salad with an array of colors that helped the aroma of the food gradually increase. Bomin smiled warmly before having his wine glass up for a cheer, "For this date...and for us to sabotage this wedding. May I request a cheer?"
Mina lifted her wine glass as well before gently swirling the dark red liquid within her cup. She watched as Bomin continued to have his arm up, moving his chin a few times so that she would cheer back. Mina shrugged her shoulders slightly before gently clinking their cups together in cheer, as she responded enthusiastically, "For the sabotage."
"Your previous payment and current payment are already due in two days. How long would I need to wait?"
The young male apologized continuously as he pleaded gently at the landlord, "I had to quit one of my jobs which is why it is difficult to pay...Please give me about two more weeks...You know I always pay on time on the other times.. I lived here for two years now."
The landlord felt a tug inside her chest as she knew the young student was working his best in order to make a living for himself before she agreed quietly to their deal. As the young male thanked her with gratitude, she warned him multiple times, "You have two weeks. Pay up by then."
The door closed immediately as the male trudged his way back towards his living room. He lived in a studio by himself as it was barely big enough to fit at least four people together. Walking towards his ringing phone, he answered it cheerfully as if he wasn't going through anything, "Mom! Sorry, I was in the bathroom."
"Hyunsuk..how are you doing my dear?"
Hyunsuk nervously bit his lip as he didn't want to explain his situation towards his mother because his family did not live off well. He was worried that his mother would faint if she heard that he was basically living off of expired instant food and barely got by with his studying. He cleared his throat gently before replying with an obviously fake, happy tone, "Always doing well.....do not worry about me and just worry about you and dad back home. How is the countryside? I heard that farming is a little difficult these days because of the weather."
"It is...but your father and I are doing alright. Are you eating well these days? How about money?"
"It's alright.. I can handle it. I have a few jobs that offer me food so I'm not starving. I have to go to class so I will contact you later."
"Okay, stay safe on the roads and make sure to always get some sleep."
"Alright."
Hyunsuk hung up quickly before he could process his mother's words into his brain. He knew his mother was well-aware of his situation but she probably didn't want to make Hyunsuk more stressed about his financial situation. He barely was able to go to class as well; college tuition took up most of his money. Being in an art major required a lot of money due to art supplies and also lessons that one must take at academies in order to enhance their skills. He couldn't go to an academy as well because he knew that he would live on the streets if he needed to. He could never ask his own parents for money as well because he knew that they worked hard to make sure that they make enough income for their necessities as well.
Since he actually didn't have class, Hyunsuk decided to make his messy apartment clean for once. He never got the time to sit down and relax because he was working nonstop in order to not go hungry or actually broke. As he cleaned his apartment, he turned towards the window as it was to help console him and his dark emotions that were trapped within him. Was there a chance for him to get enough money to survive and also attend school?
