forty - six

"So, you were not Hanbin hyung's secretary..now that I fully realize."

Jaemin furrowed his eyebrows as he glared angrily at the men as Wonho cracked his knuckles before turning away to make a quick phone call to Hanbin. Daehwi sighed heavily as he glanced at Hyunsuk and Lia, who was peering quietly at him as he rolled his eyes. Lia turned her head as she whispered to Hyunsuk, "Who...?"

Jaemin leaned towards Lia as he smiled gently as if they weren't in the worst situation to greet, "I'm Kang Jaemin, Mina's twin brother...I'm sure you know about the background of our family."

Lia nodded as she rolled her eyes mentally in her brain as she was getting annoyed by a dumb guy who's trying to flirt with her during this insane time. As if that annoying boy read her mind, Daehwi grunted and argued with a whine, "Are you seriously trying to flirt with someone as we're trapped right now?"

"Hey, I'm just trying to be friendly."

"Would you all just shut up?" Wonho exclaimed as he walked back by crossing his arms powerfully as he approached the captured figures. He took a good, long glance at every single person before exclaiming with excitement, "Boss wants you guys in soon. Let's get this over with. In two days, you all will be sent back to Korea. Lia and Hyunsuk will be staying with us even after we arrive into Korea. And the Kang brothers will be sent immediately to Jeonghan and Hanbin."

The men walked over towards the hostages as they placed tape on each of their mouths to shut them up as they walked out to leave again. Hyunsuk stayed silent the entire time as he continuously tried to think of ways to escape and ways to get his cloud information to Mina so that she would be able to find him and bring down Bomin.

Daehwi's mother bit her fingertips nervously as she heard not much news from Daehwi as he assured her everything was alright. But she knew that he rather preferred to call her; everything was sent on text which seemed too suspicious. She also was very nervous as her husband fainted and was currently sleeping with some pain medicines injected into him as she knew that he would fall ill once Bomin's backstab begun.

She also tried to constantly contact Hanbin for any updates, but he was not replying at all to her worries. The feeling of unchilling heat was rising inside her stomach as she sat down in the living room with the lights turned off.

There was a sudden text on her phone as Hanbin assured her everything was in plan and doing great. She then received another message which she widened her eyes with a small gasp before a voice creeped up on her, "What are you doing in the dark, Mother?"

She closed her phone immediately as she stood up to face Jeonghan as the lights were turned on soon after as Hanbin entered into the household as well. She knew that the uneasy feeling started to worsen as she glanced at the both of them before replying back, "You managed to get the worst from your father."

Jeonghan chuckled as he imitated her tone as Hanbin ignored the two as he headed towards his own room upstairs. Shaking her head, she crossed her arms in disbelief as Jeonghan's attitude was really pissing her off. She closed her eyes for a brief second before glaring angrily at Jeonghan once more before adding, "If you touch a single hair on my son's head...I will not leave you alone."

"Sadly, you only think of him as your son..don't you?"

"He is the only thing that makes me proud."

Myungsoo took a quick glance as Mina opened the door to her secret apartment that was located near the hotel. She had no choice but to sell her old apartment as Bomin was starting to annoy her continuously about it. She managed to find a small one near the hotel as she would only go if she needed to some alone time; her father-in-law actually created it for her since he seemed to genuinely  care for her. She turned her attention towards Myungsoo as she awkwardly motioned him to come inside as he whistled gently, "Should have guessed you would have your own place..."

"Father created it for me..."

"Ah yeah..surprisingly, he has a soft side."

She turned her attention towards the kitchen where she walked over to the stove to heat up a kettle to make some tea for the other. Myungsoo found himself comfortable at the small dining table across the window as he chuckled loudly, "Yeah, I had one similar to this when I didn't want to be at home. So annoying that there was no one on my side.."

Mina listened quietly from the kitchen as she took out two mugs from the cabinets to pour some chamomile tea bags into the mugs before turning off the stove and pouring the hot water into the mugs. She walked over to where Myungsoo was, handing him a mug as they both silently stared at the foggy evening sky.

"How are you thinking of getting to them without getting caught by Bomin?"

"I was thinking....for a long time. And I think it's important that we go over this."

Myungsoo sipped his tea slowly before turning his head slightly to glance at Mina as she was drinking her tea as well. He waited for her response as she then spoke up, "I'm going to give up everything...and just move out of South Korea for good."

"Serious?"

"Yes...and I was planning to give it to Hanbin...and it seems that it's impossible for me to do that now. Jaemin is not interested in the company so I would only need to hand him the necessary stocks for Kang Corporations."

"Then what happens to the stocks from our company?"

"I'll sell some of it, and I'll give the res to you."

Mina was being serious as she was staring straight into Myungsoo's eyes as he widened his own eyes in shock as he really did not expect it. He placed his mug down onto the table as he nodded quietly to himself as he then carefully took his hand out, "You got yourself a deal."

They shook on it.
