forty - four
"Amazing job...although, are you going to be safe today when you get back home?"
Bomin questioned as Jeonghan and him both sat down at the hotel's restaurant as Bomin offered to order the most expensive entree and wine for the other. Jeonghan scoffed with a smile as he replied back, "I already prepared for this mess. How are you going to handle your family?"
"I'll give it a few hours since I'm sure my father will faint from the news. I'll stay at the hotel for a few days if needed."
"Wow, the confidence you have there.....I see why my sister would never be a good match for you."
"We never agreed on anything that would be beneficial for the other, only to us."
"That would explain why you are the best match for her....except, she's now changing since she found someone she can like."
Bomin nodded as he smiled back cruelly, "Romance is the way to happiness. But money is the key for continuous success."
They both cheered at their victory as Bomin sipped on his wine with much delight. He was getting so many phone calls from his father, but he already placed his phone on silent as he found himself relaxing under the soft music of the hotel. Jeonghan already signed off the money he needed by stealing his father's official stamp to get the paperworks settled. He knew he didn't need to wait weeks for that old man to give him what he wanted; he had someone who would do the dirty work for him.
"When are you planning to open that hotel in Australia?"
"Soon. Don't worry, Jeonghan hyung. The name is already changed to yours and the hotel that we are planning for Canada's launch is starting soon as well. Everything will go as planned."
"What about my sister's hotel in Japan?"
"Ah yes...it's hard to retrieve that when my father is the one that is taking care of that..He cherishes it so much...it's disappointing that he is giving it to Mina. Soon, I will be able to snatch it from his hands. Did you want that as well?"
Jeonghan held the wine glass in his hand with a mischievous smile as he replied back, "Whatever my amazing brother-in-law will give me, I will gladly receive it. There are multiple buyers waiting up my alley to get their hands on the hotels that you are gifting me."
Daehwi wiped the sweat off his face as he grumbled angrily as he followed Jaemin's lead, "I'm so hungry..can we get some food?"
The two of them were sitting at the beach as they finished snooping around the hotel that Hyunsuk stayed last, but they failed to find anything that was beneficial for them. They were told the belongings left over were found and returned to the owner, which Jaemin was sure that Bomin's men already had their hands on.
"Shut up for one second."
Daehwi pouted to himself as he stared at his phone as Jaemin dialed the phone to call Hanbin for their failed plan. They had to also find a place to stay for the night since their hotel reservation was coming up for check in. The two were kind of lost of where they needed to go as Hanbin's bodyguard left them for an hour as he had to also do his task of trying to find some files.
"Where's Wonho?"
"Right now, he's doing the job that you told him to do."
"Alright...um, for now...grab something to eat and go rest. Mina and I have to handle things in Korea right now, so I'm sure everything will be fully settled in a few hours. Try to trace Hyunsuk's steps by asking for help since he did go missing."
Jaemin hung up the phone and flicked his younger brother's forehead as Daehwi shot him a hateful glare as he motioned him to stand up to follow after him. Daehwi muttered angrily under his breathe as Jaemin was asking around to get directions. But what irked Jaemin was that Wonho did not call him or try to find him as they went to the hotel alone as Daehwi questioned him as they were looking through the room service menu, "Where did Wonho go?"
"I have no idea...doesn't it get you confused too?"
"Yeah, I don't believe that Hanbin had some great task for him since he's a pretty open guy."
Jaemin paused for a few seconds before he turned to Daehwi with his eyes widening, "Where did our luggage go?"
"Um...Wonho said he was going to drop it off at the lobby before he left.."
"But the front desk said that they didn't have it...and that the bell boy probably was going to drop it off later... it's been a hour already Daehwi. That makes no literal sense that the bellboy would bring it to us later."
Both of them froze as they turned to the door as there was a knock on the door with no introduction. Jaemin grabbed his phone and quickly dialed Hanbin, who did not pick up at the moment since he was busy handling other business due to Jeonghan and Bomin. Daehwi glanced at his phone as he realized he was at low battery as he decided to use the last of it to call Mina.
"Hey, why are you-"
"No time right now. Be aware of Hanbin hyung."
"What?"
"OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!"
The men outside screamed at the door as Jaemin hung up the phone as he realized that it was Wonho's voice as there were other voices mixed in to try and break down the hotel door. Daehwi turned to Jaemin as Jaemin snatched the phone from Daehwi's grasp as he spoke urgently, "Don't trust Hanbin. Go directly to father and Daehwi's mother. We were set up."
