forty - five
"Hanbin."
Jeonghan clapped his hands softly as the oldest brother greeted Hanbin as they were gathered at Bomin's office as there was a bellow of loud laughter echoing the room. Bomin bowed in respect as he spoke up, "Thank you for helping us out...we really couldn't do this without your help."
"Of course...why do you think Mina would have never suspected me?"
"Well, she did like you the most out of all of us..."
Hanbin shrugged his shoulders as he replied back with a petty smirk, "Oh well. I did like her too...but it's sad that she doesn't realize that money is the always the reason to why families break. She does have an innocent even if she has a hot temper to get mad quickly."
Bomin nodded with agreement as the three exited Bomin's office as they were all heading over to an expensive Japanese restaurant across the hotel. Hanbin turned off his phone as he got multiple calls from Jaemin and also Mina; he felt bad to trick the twins and his younger brother but he didn't care anymore since his father didn't recognize his skills at all. In secret, he adored the twins the most and was planning great things for him.
Mina sat down with utter shock as she sighed heavily, gasping when she realized how badly played she was. Hanbin completely was on her side; that was an ultimate show to make sure that she acted the way he wanted her to. She felt the blood boil inside her as she couldn't believe her own ears as her brother told her to stay strong and to take the most responsible path. Of course, Hanbin would tell lies that the brothers were working splendidly and that Daehwi's mother didn't need to worry about a single thing.
She stared at the ground for a long time as she needed to come up with a second line of attack before she knew that there was one more person she could talk to. The one person who despised Bomin as much as she did, probably even more. She grabbed her phone and her car keys as she ran out of Hanbin's office in hopes to get out the corporation so that Hanbin wouldn't come after her as well.
"You want me to help you?"
Myungsoo scoffed to himself as he stared at his sister-in-law in disbelief as they were standing outside the Choi household. He just got out of his car when Mina was able to park her car in front of his so that she could stop him from entering.
"You know that I was helping your brother try to get Bomin, when everything just fell out place. He decided to betray me and hold hands with your brother."
"I know...Somi told me that you wanted to stop me from telling the truth...she texted me a few days ago as I knew you were wanting to get Bomin as well."
Myungsoo loosened his tie as he rested his back against his own car, deciding to listen to what Mina was going to offer for his help. She took a deep breathe before continuing, "Help me take down your brother...he joined hands with two of my older brothers. And they're going to be coming after you as soon as they're done with me and my father."
"What's in it for me?"
"Your position. And I know that my brother probably wanted you to give him all he needs, but I'm different from him. I just want my freedom."
"Is that all you really care for?"
"Like I offer right now...with the most desperate state...please help me."
Myungsoo locked his car after clicking on his keys before taking a deep breathe, turning to glance at her before motioning her inside. He spoke up soon as they entered through the front door, "Was that my brother's doing on your face?"
"I'm sure you heard about it in the house..."
"Follow me and don't let father know you arrived home. He's doing all he can to stop you from coming home so that you don't need to deal with Bomin."
They entered into Myungsoo's room quietly as Somi peeked her head through the door, widening her eyes as she didn't realize that Mina was with him. Myungsoo turned his head as he warned her softly, "Stay in your room. It's a secret meeting. Don't let Bomin know."
"Geez, I didn't know you guys were in that kind of relationship...well I did see the press conference earlier today."
Mina snorted softly under her breathe as she responded, "Yeah, I only really like one person. Myungsoo and I are discussing business."
"Better not be any funny things happening....or else I'm telling Bomin right away."
Myungsoo walked over to the door and gently pushed her away from the door, locking it soon after as he then glanced over at Mina as he ushered her to the desk where she sat on the chair. He hovered over her and scattered the papers in front of her as well as opening up a few documents on his tablet. "Right now, this is all I can offer. I'm sure your guy has a lot of information that he didn't give up to Bomin. If you think about it, he wouldn't be that dumb."
"He sure isn't...I just don't know where to find it even if he did hide it to give it to me...and worst, my brothers are captured right now since it seems that Jeonghan's secretary posed as Hanbin's secretary...and my brothers fell into the trap..so did I."
"Never really imagined Hanbin joining sides with the bad ones....I have a feeling that perhaps he has something on the line so he had no choice but to join those bastards."
"Perhaps...he was the only one I trusted."
"Well, I don't want you to trust anyone...not even me. But since your goals are different than mine, I won't stop you from taking these and using it for your benefit."
"I have one more favor."
Myungsoo backed up from the desk as he took off his jacket to hang it inside his closet as he laughed under his breathe as he expected more requests from her. He didn't seem to really reject any since he knew what she wanted, but he turned his head slightly to make eye contact with her. "And what would that be?"
"Find my brothers and Hyunsuk."
