"What the fuck did he do to you-"
Jaemin furrowed his eyebrows angrily as he stared at his twin's face as she brushed his hand off. He was truly shocked when he answered his phone without much thought before he opened his eyes to see his sister with a small bruise on her cheek.
Mina replied back with a smile, "It's really nothing."
"Are you even happy?"
Mina paused for a few seconds as she was placing her suitcase down on the ground carefully to not wake anyone up as she shrugged without an answer. Jaemin was getting more frustrated by the minute as she then spoke up, "We don't match as a couple. He kept his true self hidden...I'm glad that I got to see it now. I have this as evidence if I do decide to divorce him."
"Father isn't going to like that..you know he is now expecting a family from you."
"That's a bummer...he's never going to see that in my life..."
"Mina, I'm being serious."
"I'm tired, Jaemin...I just need an ice pack and I'm heading straight to bed. Can you leave me alone?"
Jaemin stood up quietly while shaking his head sadly as he watched his sister placing the small ice pack onto her cheek, as she turned her head towards the side to have her back facing the door. He knew that she just needed some quiet time to herself so he carefully closed the door before resting his back against the door.
Someone interrupted his silence as he rolled his eyes immediately as Daehwi entered into the hallways with a scoff. "So, she's here? Without father knowing...you know he's going to be very upset when he hears this."
"You should have a sense of when to butt in and when not to...it's truly not funny right now."
"Jaemin hyung, you think that everything revolves around your twin sister...don't you feel sad for yourself?"
"She's much stronger than I am..I agree. But it's my duty to watch her back as she's my sister."
Daehwi chuckled to himself as if he found this truly amusing as he decided to make his way closer to the door as Jaemin then stopped him with a serious glare, "Stop testing the limit and go sleep. She's not in the mood to deal with you."
Jaemin shoved him away from the door as a final warning before walking to his own room before he entered, he turned his head to glance at Daehwi once more before speaking up finally, "You think she went there to just follow Father's words? No, she's protecting our family name and the money. You think you'll get your share if Bomin takes full control- No, he's going to steal it all...and that's on you if you decide to start pressing her buttons."
Hyunsuk sighed to himself as he cleaned up the remaining mess as he managed to also order stronger locks on the door. But while that was happening, he decided to stay at a small hotel room so that he could finally get some peace and quiet. He contacted his parents beforehand so that they wouldn't worry, but they were already busy themselves with the small shop they were working at.
He stared at Lia's cracked phone as he knew that they came for her and for this phone. He gripped onto it tightly before a message popped up onto the screen as he remembered that he should turn off his location so that Bomin's men wouldn't track him down. Before he did so, he opened the message from an unknown number which he recognized the number immediately as he always stared at his own phone with that same number.
"I miss you."
Hyunsuk sighed to himself as he couldn't send a message back as he turned off the phone completely so that he could keep himself protected without his location being leaked. He wished he could send a message back to Mina, but he knew that he had no choice but to wait. He fiddled with the phone in his hand before he realized that he could get the information out of the SD card within the phone. He knew he had a limited amount of time before Bomin's men would finally find him, and he had a brilliant idea to copy the information within the SD card.
She couldn't sleep.
She just couldn't.
The moment she knew that Lia was caught..it gave her the slightest hope that perhaps Hyunsuk has the phone.
She sent the message in hopes that it would have arrived even if she knew that there would be no response back. She never felt lonelier than she ever did before she cried to herself as she stuffed her face inside her blankets. She didn't care about the small bruise on her face when Bomin raged out of control and slapped her twice. The first time didn't hurt nor leave a bruise, but the second time left a mark since his watch actually contracted her face than his hand.
She remembered it with a wince as she felt the ice soothing it against her burning skin. She was tired of all the nonsense mess that she was going through as she wished that it would slowly the time for Bomin's nonsense to come into life. She knew that her father would make a big, unnecessary deal if he ever heard of the news of his daughter being slapped, but she wanted to wait fully until Hyunsuk could gather all the necessary information.
Her main wish was that Hyunsuk would reveal all the things with his bare hands as it would leave the best impact that anyone could imagine. There were so many things that Bomin was hiding behind his back, and she's sure that Hyunsuk hasn't collected it all so she knew she needed extra pair of hands for this situation.
As Jeonghan decided to take the situation into his own hands so that he could benefit from it, she fully decided to then pick one person that may help her to her cause without anyone suspecting it.
