Soraru felt the July summer breeze blow his hair while walking to school with Sakata. His part-time job didn't call him in today so he got to walk with his little brother to school. Sakata was eagerly talking about things the two of them could do together during summer vacation as it started next week. Sakata was happy to spend time with him, since Soraru's part-time jobs told him that he didn't have to work that much during the summer, they could finally spend a lot of time together.

"We can go to karaoke or the arcade. Or an all-you-can-eat buffet."

Soraru just laughed at his brother's enthusiasm and nodded his head.

"Sure."

"Do you want to do anything niichan?"

"I'm fine with doing anything you want. You're my little brother and I want you to be happy." Soraru ruffled his hair.

"But I want niichan to be happy too." Sakata pouted at his brother though he had a smile on his face. He was happy that Soraru cared about him.

"Eh? But I'm happy when I see you do things you like and smile."

"Niichan~~" Sakata looked at his brother fondly, I have the best older brother ever.

While the two were enjoying the bright summer sky they noticed two people ahead. A certain brunette and albino came into their view. He's really easy to spot with his hair color, Soraru thought as Sakata called out at the two.

"Ama-chan, Mafu! Hey!" He waved at them as he shouted. The two said males stopped and turned around when they heard their names.

"Hey Sakata. Eh? Soraru's with you today?" Amatsuki questioned the two as they caught up to them.

"Yup~~ Niichan didn't have any work today. In fact they said that they didn't need him that much during the summer so he now has more free time."

"Woah, that's nice. So Soraru can join us whenever we hang out during the break."

"Yep~~"

"Oi don't answer for me." Soraru scolded his brother and lightly smacked his head.

"But you will or I'll make you."

"That is true." Mafu giggled at the brother's interaction. Soraru heard him and turned to look at him. Mafu smile at Soraru, who gave a small smile back. He then switched back to his neutral expression as Amatsuki caught a small glimpse of the smile.

"Ah! Soraru smiled~~"

"No I didn't." Soraru replied to the brunette nonchalantly as Amatsuki shook his head.

"No I saw you smile."

"Must've imagined it."

"No I didn't."

"Yeah you did. You might need to get your eyes checked." Anatsuki pouted at Soraru's comment and gave up pestering him. Mafu and Sakata giggled at the playful banter. He enjoys being with them, he just doesn't want to say it~~ Sakata gave his brother a big grin, Soraru just sighed and patted his head with a small smile forming of his face.

They did their usual routine, meet up with the others and go to class. Senra was on his phone texting Shima, Amatsuki was doodling on his homework, Mafu and Sakata were talking with each other.

"I found a way to get Urata to fall in love with you."

"Eh?"

"During summer vacation we can go to the amusement park and split into partners. Senra and Shima, me and Soraru and finally you and Urata."

"What about Ama-chan?"

"He'll be with me and Soraru~~"

"He'll be third wheeling though..." Sakata mumbled to himself. Mafu didn't hear him well.

"Eh? Did you say something Sakata?"

"Nope~~ So you really think Urata likes me? He could just be nice to me because I'm your friend."

"I'm positive. Urata is basically another version of Soraru when it comes to showing emotions."

"True. They both act like tsunderes."

"Why is Soraru a tsundere?" Mafu tilted his head, confused by the redhead's words.

"Oh nothing. Soraru just doesn't like saying how he feels. Like he could be happy or say fall in love with someone," Sakata glanced at Mafu when he said 'love' and continued, "but he wouldn't say it out loud."

"Really? But he calls me cute sometimes."

"Eh!?!" Sakata grabbed Mafu's hands as he looked at him with eyes filled with so much joy that they sparkled. "Really?!?"

"Y-y-yeah," Mafu was startled by Sakata's eagerness and nervously replied.

Sakata let go of his hands and smiled. So niichan is starting to realize his feelings and is now acting nice towards Mafu. Mafu definitely likes niichan back so this should work and niichan can finally be happy. Sakata was grinning at Mafu and decided that he'll help Mafu get Soraru to notice his feelings. He was going to help the two of them confess.

"Hey Mafu, do you like Soraru?"

"Eh?!" The albino blushed at the sudden question. I'll take that as a yes. Sakata's grin only grew wider as Mafu was beginning to blush and stumbled with his words.

"I'll help Soraru fall in love with you." Sakata said as he quietly added a barely audible, "he already is but still."

"You will?" Mafu perked up, still a blush on his cheek.

"Yup. You said you were going to help me with Urata so it's only right for me to repay the favor."

"Okay!" Mafu quickly said as some classmates turned to look at him. He covered his mouth with his hands and sent them an apologetic look.

The school days went by fast and as soon as you know it, it was the last day of school before summer vacation. The teachers didn't really bother teaching much as they knew students wouldn't pay attention, since they were all excited for summer.

"I want to go to the beach."
"Same. I want to get a tan so Soraru can notice me."
"Do you think I'll get pretty during the summer so Soraru will look at me?"

Around the classroom Urata and Shima heard girls gush about wanting to spend the summer getting pretty for Soraru.

"I wonder how they'll feel when Soraru crushes their dreams and ignores them?" Shima joking said at the brunette who was reading a book.

"Probably upset and then they'd go back to talking shit about him like usual." Urata didn't look up from his book.

"True." Shima rested his chin against his hands as his elbows were on Urata's desk He was sitting on his chair backwards to face the brunette behind him. Shima thought of Urata and how he had seen the brunette stare at a certain redhead in their group.

"So does our famous tsundere tanuki like anyone~~?" His comment caused the said tanuki to snap his head up and glare at him.

"No." Urata spoke with sharpness in his voice.

"Is that so~~? So I was just imagining you staring at Sakata all the time?"

"I never was." Urata looked back down at his book, trying to ignore the purple-haired. "Why would you even pay attention to that?"

"It's not hard to notice as you would space out from the conversation and when I'd look at you to see if you're paying attention, there you are looking at Sakata."

"Why would I like that idiot?"

"That's what a tsundere would say when they don't want to admit it~~"

"Shima you have five seconds to stop or else you're going to be on the floor in pain."

"Www so scary~~ What are you going to do, strangle me? You can't even reach."

"Alright I warned you." Urata stood up and leaned in an attempt to strangle Shima but stopped when the bell rang.

"Ah~~ Lunch time. See ya Urata~~" Shima quickly got up and left the classroom to avoid Urata's wrath.

"Shima! You—" Urata ran out of the room to catch up to the purple-haired male.

Sakata was in the cafeteria waiting for the others when a 2nd year girl came up to him. He noticed that she was looking down and seemed nervous as her hands were behind her back.

"U-U-Umm..... you're S-S-Sakata right?"

"Yes...." Sakata was confused at what was happening.

"C-C-Can y-y-you p-p-please...." the girl continued.

Shima and Urata got to the cafeteria, Urata was irritated with Shima but it quickly disappeared as they saw the 2nd year girl push an envelope towards Sakata.

"H-H-Here...." the girl then quietly spoke in a barely audible voice that only Sakata could hear.

"G-give i-it t-t-to S-S-Soraru."

The girl quickly left as Sakata held the envelope in his hand. Urata stared at the scene in confusion and a bit of shock. Did that girl just confess to Sakata?

As the thought appeared in his head the brunette somehow felt like his heart was breaking. As Urata was looking at the ground they walked up to a confused Sakata, who was still staring at the direction the girl left.

"What was that about Sakata?" Shima questioned the redhead, who snapped out of his daze.

"Eh? O-Oh...um... that girl gave me this envelope to give to Soraru."

The brunette snapped his head up to look at the redhead, he felt a sigh of relief leave his mouth before he spoke.

"Really that's it?"

Urata wanted to punch himself for somehow getting worked up over nothing.

"Well as if anyone is dumb enough to fall in love with an idiot like you."

Sakata looked down as Urata said that, causing the brunette to be confused by his action. So I was right, there's no way Urata would like me....

"Speak for yourself." Shima mumbled to himself after the brunette's comment.

Urata looked at him since he didn't hear what he said.

"What?"

"Nothing. Just that the others are here." Shima pointed as the four approaching them.

Soraru was with them and Sakata immediately had a smile back of his face as he faced towards the direction of his brother.

"Soraru~~ you're joining us~~?"

"I saw them in the halls and they dragged me along with them."

"Don't be a downer Soraru. Come on, you're our friend so of course you have to be with us." Mafu spoke as he smiled at the raven-haired. Soraru just sighed as he noticed the envelope in his brother's hand.

"Why do you have that envelope?"

"Oh this? A 2nd year gave it to me."

"Ah~~ someone confessed to you?" Amatsuki teased the redhead.

"No they wanted me to give it to Soraru."

Sakata handed the envelope to Soraru. Mafu's heart cracked a bit as Soraru opened the envelope. He looked at it for a few seconds before crumbling it and throwing it away.

"Eh? What was it?" Amatsuki questioned Soraru, who had a bored expression on his face.

"It was just a love letter nothing important."

"Eh?!? And you're just going to throw it away? Won't the girl be upset?"

"So you want me to lie to her and act like I'm interested?"

"Well no, but shouldn't you at least reply by rejecting her gently."

"If she wanted me to reply to her, she would've given it to me in person and not Sakata."

"How kind of you." Urata sarcastically said. Soraru gave him a look that said 'shut up.'

"Why did she give it to Sakata anyways?" Senra pointed out the fact that it was given to the redhead.

"Well people know I hang around with Soraru so she must've just decided to give it to a friend of his." Sakata pondered out loud.

"Soraru is so brutal with his rejection." Shima joked as the raven-haired just lazily shrugged.

"Well duh. He doesn't care about anyone except Sakata, Lon and Mafu." Urata muttered to himself with a tone of irritation. Soraru glared at the brunette and sighed.

"Of course I'm going to reject people if I don't return the feelings. I'm not cruel enough to let them cling to false hope."

Mafu looked down as Soraru spoke, just thinking about the chance of Soraru rejecting him hurt his heart. Soraru noticed Mafu was upset and lightly smacked his head.

"Oi. Why are you upset?" Soraru said as he spoke quietly so only Mafu could hear.

"N-Nothing."

Mafu blushed as he looked at Soraru. Ah~ I hope he doesn't notice. Mafu was still trying to recover from the thought of rejection and the worried look on Soraru's face made his heart jump.

"Stop looking down. You're not cute when you do that."

The comment made Mafu blush more as he started to retort back at the raven-haired male.

They went to the roof and had a nice time enjoying the summer breeze. Soraru was leaning on the rails while the others sat down next to him. He sighed as they talked, Sakata had said that 'if Soraru doesn't join us then we'll join him by the rails.' Soraru let out a quiet laugh as he thought about how Sakata and Mafu are enthusiastic in getting him to talk to the others more.

"So what are we going to do first?" Senra popped out the question as the others thought about their choices.

"We can just go to the amusement park this weekend." Mafu suggested the idea, all for my plan to get Urata and Sakata alone together.

He was determined to help Sakata with his crush on his tanuki friend while he thought that it would be a good chance for him to be alone with Soraru too. Ah~ but Ama-chan will be third wheeling. He pouted as he remembered that the plan would require Amatsuki to join him and Soraru.

Why must my brilliant plans backfire on me~? He whined to himself as the others agreed on his idea.

"Sounds good to me." Shima said.

"Ah, I think I'll pass." Soraru finally spoke.

This surprised the others, well not Urata, as they asked why.

"Come on Soraru. Have fun with us~~" Amatsuki playfully complained.

Soraru just gave them a side glance and said no again.

"Why not?"

Urata threw a question at Soraru, who was quiet. Sakata was silent too, before finally realizing why.

"Don't worry niichan, I don't think Mafu and Ama-chan will make you do that." Sakata grinned at his brother who looked at him with his eyebrow raised.

"That?"

Mafu was confused on what the redhead meant. Sakata gave Soraru a look, and Sorarh knew what the redhead was trying to say with the look.

"No."

"Come on niichan. They should know."

"No they don't."

"If you don't tell them then they'll make you go on."

"I still say no."

"What are you guys talking about?" Urata questioned the two bickering siblings.

Soraru was about to say 'it has nothing to do with you' but Sakata beat him.

"Niichan is afraid of heights so roller coasters are a big no-no to him." Soraru glared at his brother who just grinned back.

"Hah?!? THE Soraru is afraid of heights?" Urata laughed at the new discovery of the raven-haired male. How rich.

"You want to live to see tomorrow tanuki?" Soraru threatened Urata.

"What are you going to do?" Urata smirked at Soraru.

He knew that the delinquent would do nothing as Mafu was right there. He wouldn't want Mafu to hate him.

"Tch."

Soraru just glared at him before turning back to look at the view. Mafu noticed his ears were a bit red and giggled to himself.

"Don't worry Soraru. I won't make you go on them." Soraru blushed in embarrassment at the albino's comment.

The others teased Soraru until he was fed up from their teasing and left them on the roof.

"Niichan is such a tsundere."

Sakata smiled as his brother left. The bell soon rang and they went back to class. The school day went by fast, with Sakata, Mafu, Senra and Amatsuki talking about Soraru's new little secret. They were looking forward for summer vacation. Mafu and Sakata were ready to set out their plans in helping each other with their crushes.
