First day.

I want your input, and ideas. PLEASEEE. I can't update if I don't have them.

Millie's pov

I wake up with a smile on my face, knowing that I'm moving today. I'm going to a college in America, with Maddie.

We've been wanting to leave ever since we got back to England, two and a half years ago.

I got up and got ready, and packed everything that wasn't packed, up.

Maddie and I were meeting at the airport.

I grabbed the rest of my bags that weren't in the car, and walked downstairs, to see Ava.

Ava and I got over our differences and we are okay now. But she can be a bit much at times.

"Ready to go?" My mom asked, and I smiled and nodded.

We got in the car, to the airport.

-

"Millie!" Maddie yelled, waving me over to her.

I already said bye to my Mom and Ava. We will see each other sometimes, we will be okay. She sent me off to Canada without even telling me first, so she must not care about this either.

We walked to our plane, and sat down, waiting for it to be called.

Yes, we are still friends. We planned to go to the same college and be roommates since age 12. We weren't lying.

She was talking about how our room setup will be like, and I nodded, agreeing.

These past two years..it's been hard. I have to admit.

Ever since we left, I don't feel the same. I don't think I ever will feel the same. I'm trying my hardest.

With Finn and I...we didn't keep in contact.

I think because if we did, we'd just make it harder on ourselves, because we'd miss each other even more.

I FaceTimed Noah now and then, and I stayed in contact with Sophia and Lilia a lot. I still do.

We got into the plane, and we sat down, me on the outside.

"Hey girls, why are you going to America?" I heard a guy ask from across me. We looked over to him, and there were two cute guys. I smiled.

"We are moving into our college." I said, and they nodded.

"Nice. Which college?" The other asked.

"Grant State University." Maddie said.

"Nice, I was gonna go to that one, but I changed my mind." One guy said, and I nodded.

With boys, I really haven't had an actual boyfriend. I've had a few boyfriends, but they only lasted a week, because it didn't feel right.

I'm gonna try and get back out there in college. We are older now. I'm 19.

-

I woke up to Maddie shaking me, and I looked around. Our flight landed.

We grabbed our carry ons and walked to the luggage place, and we grabbed it. Maddie started talking again, about what the campus will be like.

We walked outside and we had an Uber, that would take us to the campus. We got into the Uber, and I looked around. I've never been to America.

The past couple of years has been weird. We came back, and people acknowledged us, but acted like we weren't there when we got back. Not like I'm mad about it, I don't like being the center of attention.

It was also weird because I was with Ava and my mom all the time, which I haven't in months. So, I had to get used to Ava's new behavior.

The drive was about 30 minutes, when we got to the campus. We thanked the Uber and walked up to the front, and we had to go find the front office for our dorm and key.

Maddie led the way, and we found the front.

"Hi, this is Maddie Ziegler and Millie Brown, we are joining Grant State University. We were told to come here and get our key and room number?" She asked.

The lady searched us up on the computer, and smiled.

"Yes, here you are." She said, giving Maddie and I both a key.

"Thank you!" Maddie said, and we walked to the elevator. The number for our room is on our key.

We were on level 3, room 315.

We walked to our room, and Maddie was doing the key, when I heard music from the room across from us. I turned to see if the door was open, but it wasn't.

"Millie look!" She yelled, and we walked in.

The room wasn't that big, but it was big enough. We had beds, one on one wall, one on the other wall, and we had a kitchen, along with a bathroom. The walls were white, but everything else was cute. They had bedsheets and covers for us.

"I'll take the light grey one." Maddie said, and I nodded, looking at the one to the left, which was a dark grey.

I set my bags on it, and we unpacked, and talked about how much fun it is going to be here.

"I also heard there is a Starbucks around here, we should definitely go to that." She said, and I nodded.

-

Maddie and I were walking around the campus, looking at everything. We don't start for a couple more days, which is nice.

Downstairs is a hangout lobby, there's some couches and a tv, it's pretty colorful. Outside there's some main center fountains, and some stands for coffee or drinks.

A little farther down the pathway, there was the Starbucks.

"I heard there's a party on our floor today, would you want to go and meet some people?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Why not." I said, and she smiled.

-

I just put on a dressy T-shirt and some shorts and a little makeup, and I was ready to go. Maddie kind of did the same, but she does more makeup than me.

I was sitting on my bed waiting for Maddie when I heard yelling outside of my room. It sounded like arguing.

I furrowed my eyebrows and went up to the door, and then I opened it. I saw the door across from us close, right when I opened it.

I guess those were the people who were fighting.

"Okay, I'm ready." Maddie said, and I nodded, and opened the door again, and walked to the direction towards the party.

You can tell which room it is, because the music is blasting.

Maddie knocks on the door, and a guy opens it.

"Hey ladies." He said, and I smiled.

"Hey. Can we come in?" Maddie asked.

"Yep." He said, opening the door for us. Once I walked in, I noticed it was way larger than Maddie and Is room.

The music was blasting, people drinking, the usual things at a party. Maddie went off to find some people, so I went to the kitchen to get a drink.

"I don't think we've met." I heard someone say.

I turned to my left to see a girl. She was my height, with a bob haircut.

"I'm Grace Vanderwal." She said, and I smiled.

"I'm Millie Brown." I said, and she smiled.

"British accent? Nice." She said, and we laughed.

-

The party was almost over, so I gave grace my Snapchat and number, and I went to find Maddie. Turns out she was talking to a guy.

"Maddie." I said, getting her attention.

"Oh. Millie, this is Jack! Jack Kelly!" She said, and I shook his hand, and he smiled at me.

"Nice to meet you." He said, and I smiled.

"Nice to meet you too." I said, and I looked at Maddie.

"We have to go, it's getting late." I said, and she nodded, and said bye to Jack, and we walked out of the room. We talked about who we met and stuff, and we got to the door.

Maddie was unlocking it, when I saw a guy with curly hair walk up to the door across from us. He saw us and smiled.

"You two must be the new people joining us." He said, and I nodded.

"The girls before you guys were here that had your room were crazy. I'm Wyatt, by the way." He said, and I smiled.

"I'm Millie, this is Maddie." I said, and he raised his eyebrows.

"I gotta tell my roommate." He said, and opened the door.

"Dude, British girls are across from us!" He yelled into the room, and I laughed. We walked into our room and said bye to Wyatt, and closed the door.

What a day.
