Halloween Hamanda

(This is a Halloween special :3)

(Amanda POV)

"I'm so excited!" Akko yelled, twirling around in her werewolf costume.

I was with my team in the red team's dorm to get ready for tonight.

What's tonight, you may ask? Tonight is Halloween. Or, well, Samhain. But Akko insisted we went trick or treating this year together.

I step in front of the mirror, fixing the front of my costume.

I looked pretty good, wearing a ripped tuxedo with red stains to resemble blood.

Lotte pulled me to the side and began to apply my green face paint to make me look like some sort of Frankenstein.

After I was done, I took another glance to see she had done a killer job.

"Everyone ready?" I glanced around at everyone's costume.

Sucy was wearing all black yet had a mushroom hat on, Lotte was dressed as a girl from Nightfall, Jaz and Conz were matching as pirates, and of course Akko was in her werewolf attire.

Everyone nodded as I opened the door with my bag in hand.

Akko began walking towards the other dorms in the opposite direction.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"We have to pick up Diana and her team, remember?" Akko perked at the mention of her girlfriend.

"Oh yeah, I forgot we were going with them." I sigh, preparing myself for some snide remarks from the blue team.

Akko knocks on the door and Diana steps out, wearing a Victorian style vampire outfit, her face covered in red and white paint as well as red stains on her white blouse shirt.

"Hello, Akko. The girls are almost ready, but Hanna is having some trouble with her zipper so it'll be just a moment." Diana explains, hugging her girlfriend.

Soon after Barbra steps out, dressed as that Edward guy from Lotte's book.

I assume they were supposed to match or something.

"Hanna said she doesn't want to come." Barbra says, a sad look on her face.

"Why not?" I ask, cocking an eyebrow.

"She," she trails off, glancing behind her as if Hanna were standing right there.

She leaned towards us, lowering her voice, "She thinks her costume makes her look ugly."

I roll my eyes at the lame excuse. We would be late if we waited much longer!

"I'll handle this. Wait here." Diana tells Akko, placing a kiss on her forehead before following Barbra into the room.

A few minutes later they return with Hanna, who looked really uncomfortable.

I do a double take, glancing at her one more time.

She was wearing a puffy pink dress and a gold crown, her auburn hair cascading over her shoulders.

She wore very little make up, not that she needed any. Some sparkly pink eyeshadow and blush, mascara, and dark red lipstick.

I felt myself blush as I looked at her, my stomach doing a flip.

I swallowed a lump in my throat as I notice the other teams were walking away.

"I like your costume." I hear Hanna say quietly beside me.

I tensed, chuckling awkwardly.

"Y-You look real good, too." I tell her as she blushed and looked down.

"I look ridiculous." she laughs sadly.

"No you don't! You look... beautiful.." I turn my face and keep walking, too embarrassed to look at her now.

"O-Oh.. Thank you.." she says, barely above a whisper.

We continued walking side by side in total awkward silence until we reached town.

Everyone split up and began running towards whatever houses we could find.

(Hanna POV)

I couldn't get Amanda's comment out of my head.

It played over and over, my heart coming closer and closer to bursting everytime.

"You look beautiful." I heard again, my face engulfed in blush as I grabbed my face in my hands to cool it off.

I groaned as I heard it yet again.

"Are you okay?" Barb asked, placing a hand in my shoulder.

"I'm fine." I sigh, moving my hands off of my face to look at her.

Sucy snickers nearby, Lotte at her side as they walk up to us.

"So Hanna," Sucy starts, a smirk on her face, "I saw you and Amanda looked pretty close earlier."

My eyes widen as my mouth gapes at her statement.

She chuckles as I attempt to form words, nothing more than random noises coming from my throat.

Suddenly Lotte rolls her eyes, pulling Sucy and Barbra away as I continue to flub on my words.

I jump as I feel a finger tapping my shoulder, whipping around to stand inches from Amanda.

I feel my heart start racing, clamping my mouth (which had been hanging open like an idiot) shut.

"How's your night?" Amanda asks, scratching her neck with a crooked smile.

"G-G-Good. Y-You?" I ask, my voice coming out way higher than usual.

"..Fine..." she says slowly, tilting her head at me.

"Are you alright?" she then asks, studying my face so closely I could feel her breath on my lips.

I slam my eyes shut and leaned forward, capturing her lips.

They were so warm and soft, not to mention they tasted like my favourite sour cherry candy.

I unconsciously licked her lips, feeling her part them slightly and shoving her tongue into my mouth.

I let out a small moan as I felt her tongue press and swirl around mine, her hands moving behind my back and pulling me close.

I tangled my hands into her short red-orange hair, gripping it as I began to lose my breath.

We reluctantly pulled away, a string of saliva trailing between our panting lips.

She looked at me, her eyes half lidded.

I blushed as I realised what we had just done, stepping back and looking at the ground.

"I, um, thank you. For earlier. The compliment." I tell her, still looking down as I fought the smile trying to spread across my face.

"Oh, uh, it was n-nothing." she says, sounding out of breath.

"W-We should get back to the others." Amanda says, jerking her thumb behind her.

I hum in agreement, walking beside her.

I feel her pinky brush against my palm, glancing to find her gazing towards our hands.

I quickly take her hand in mine, intertwining our fingers and stepping closer to her.

I see her smile out of the corner of my eye, feeling her thumb rubbing circles on the back of my hand softly.

I smile, laying my head in her shoulder as I felt her tense and relax against me.

She sighed as I felt her press a soft kiss to my temple, snuggling closer to her side as we followed farly behind the others to go home.

~~~
As the others parted ways at my doorway, Amanda stayed behind, glancing down at her shoes as she shuffled her feet against the carpet.
"Goodnight, Amanda." I whispered to her as she lifted her eyes to me.
I placed a quick peck to her lips before turning to walk into my room.
Once inside, I sighed, leaning against the door.
I felt the smile worm it's way back onto my face, plopping onto my bed after a wonderful day.
