Tony had dropped Andre and Rene off back at the hospital so Andre can pick up the car from the parking garage which was just across the street. Andre and Rene got out and grabbed a few of the small items like then duffle bag with hoodies and guns that were used in the woods to scare Tori with. Tony told Andre that he was going head back to Erin's apartment and wait for Cat while he took Rene home.

"If you talk to P tell him we're all good." Andre said.

"You got it man. Y'all be safe now!" Tony joked and Andre was quick to catch the joke and cut his eyes at him.

"You ain't slick Tone. Get out of here!" Andre laughed.

Tony pulled away as Andre and Rene loaded up the small car.

"You think she took the hint Dre?" Rene asked as she closed the trunk.

"We can only wait and see. I can say this though. She'd be a damn fool if she shows her face in Chanhassen again. Especially if P finds out. He might have his goons end her life."

"Prince isn't like that though he wouldn't hurt anybody. I mean he did love her at one point."

"That may be true but look at all that's happened? Now she could be lying to him about her identity? He ain't no fool sweetheart."

  "Just because he rules his home with an iron fist doesn't make him a man that's gonna hurt anyone. I mean he has a mean side but I don't think it's meant to be violent. Prince just knows what he wants that's all."

The two got in the car and drove off towards Minneapolis. After their conversation the ride there was silent. Rene went to sleep as Andre turned on the radio and listened to some jazz. After a forty five minute drive they finally arrived at Rene's house. The little house was blue wth black trim and shutters. The brown wooded fence surrounding the property looked as if it was freshly painted.

  "Wake up sleeping beauty! You're home now!" Andre said as he put the car in park and took the key out of the ignition.

Rene awoke and looked out the window.

  "Oh look! The painters finally came! The rain here has always pushed back my appointment and they finally got out here. Now I can finish my garden." She said excited as she opened the car door.

  "Garden? Who you think you are old Macdonald?" Andre snickered.

Rene turned to him and cut her eyes angrily.

  "Real cute. Prince told me one day that I had the spirit of a nature goddess. We were on tour once when I found this tree that looked freshly planted snapped in half. I took my scarf off and put the two pieces back together while it was still fresh inside. That would help it grow stronger. Luckily the tree was still young so I'm sure it's fine now." My scarf is still there though. I miss that Donna Karen silk."

Andre scrunched his face and shook his head.

  "I'm gonna need you to get out of the 80's baby." He joked.

  "I need you to stop being a hater." She snapped at him.

"Whatever I'm not a hater. I'm boss. Like that dude Rick Ross."

Rene turned back to Andre and sucked her teeth.

  "Yeah a fraud boss." She said.

  "See! All that hate! You need me to come in or something? "'Cause I gotta date with the wife." Andre joked as he opened up the gate and Rene stepped inside.

  "No I'm fine. You can go. Hey you should go meet up with Prince at the hospital. Carlyn said she's going to see the baby and Prince might go with her. You should go and keep him company for a while. He could use your friendship and he's probably worried about you."

  "I guess I should. We'll get inside so I know your safe." Andre said.

Rene pulled her keys out of her purse and made her way up the steps.

  "Hurry up girl! I gotta go!" Andre joked.

  "Don't rush me. Before I call my boyfriend on you." She snapped back.

  "You sure he's real and not imaginary?" He giggled.

Rene flipped him off and opened the door to her home. Andre waited for her to be completely inside before heading back to the car. Rene watched from her window as he walked away from the gate and was walking toward his car. She let out a happy sigh and was about to turn around when she was shot at point blank range two times in her back. Andre heard the shots and took cover on the ground behind his car. The unknown shooter dressed in all black with a slim build stood over Rene and was about to fire another shot into her head when the sound of Andre trying to burst through the door had startled them and they ran out through the back door and jumped the fence. Andre finally was able to get inside and frantically called out for Rene. His worry elevated when she didn't answer. Andre rounded the corner to find Rene laying in her own blood and unconscious.

  "Oh god! Rene! Rene!" He shouted as she slid down to the floor to make sure Rene was still breathing.

  "Please god please Rene! Wake up!" He said turning her over.

He knew that moving her could cause more damage to her spine but he just wanted her to wake up and stay conscious. He pulled out his phone and called 911.

  "Yes I just dropped my friend off at home and I was about to get back in my car and she was shot when she went inside! Please someone get here quickly!" He said to the dispatcher.

Andre held her and was saturated in her blood as he rocked her. Rene took a deep shallow breath as her eyes slowly opened.

  "Rene! What happened?" He asked her as she looked up at him.

  "Someone.....was here.....before me. They.....wanted....me.....to....." she said.

  "It's ok! Save your strength just stay awake. Help is on the way! I got you. Just stay awake." He said to her with a smile.

It wasn't long before the ambulance showed up and the EMT's came in with medical bags and a stretcher. Andre stood to his feet still covered in blood and two officers came to him and asked him to step outside for questioning. Andre had told them all he knew and afterwards called Prince to give him the news. What he didn't know was. Cat was shot as well forty five minutes away. The shooter however got away unseen by anyone.
