Prince sat in his office alone reading over legal documents that he had his attorney draw up for a divorce.

"I can't believe I'm doing this again." He signed aloud to no one but himself.

Prince swore that this would be his last nuptial but he was once again proven wrong. He began to thumb through was seemed to be an endless stack of paper and his eyes were growing heavy from gazing at the dozens of words. The delirious idea of getting to the end was enough to break the strongest of men. The subconscious thought of going to court once more washed over him like high tide and he was feeling the anger rise within him when suddenly the sounds of a drill snapped him out of his thoughts and back to reality. He dropped the papers on the desk and stood up from his desk. Prince stretched his arms out wide to relax his body from the tense position he was once sitting in as the drill soothed him.

"Take a break from all of this Skipper. You need it." He joked to himself.

Prince walked from around his desk and out of his office. Down the hall the drilling could be heard and Prince decided to see what was going on. He could hear voices giving directions the closer he came to the nursery door.

"We need perfection people. No excuses! The baby could be coming home any day and she deserves some place comfortable to sleep."

Prince rounded the corner to find that Tony taking charge and leading the reconstruction of the nursery that had laid destroyed for three months. Prince seemed pretty pleased and didn't want to disturb what was going on so he tip toed away from the door and decided to go down into the kitchen for something to eat. He'd been sitting in his office since 2AM and needed something on his stomach before he could even consider going to sleep. Prince's heels clicked down the marble steps quickly as he made his way down to the lobby floor. His receptionist Lauren was taking a call for him and she didn't even notice that her boss had just come out of hiding for the first time today. Prince didn't mind that he was invisible in his own home. He liked it this way now that Tori was no longer around. For the first time he was finally feeling what freedom felt like again. Making his way in the kitchen he found Erinalia on her laptop working on a paper for her psychology class.

"Well good morning Erin." He said to her as he grabbed an apple and a grapefruit from the bowl on the counter.

"Mr. Nelson good afternoon." She said to him not once looking away from her assignment as she typed away.

Prince looked over at the clock on the wall and realized she was right. It was 1:27PM.

"I must have really been out of it up there. I had no idea it was this late! How's that paper of yours coming?" Prince asked as he sat down at the table across from her and began to peel at his grapefruit.

"Almost done actually! After this I have a few chapters to read but.....they can wait until after I ride with Carly and Regs to the hospital to see Princess."

Erinalia finally looked up from the screen over at Prince who was looking back at her with sad eyes.

"Come with us! You haven't seen her at all yet have you?" She asked.

Prince reluctantly shook his head and sighed.

"It's ok. I'll keep myself busy here in the meantime. Where is my daughter anyway?" He asked.

"She went out with Joey to the mall. Carly's been a crying mess all afternoon. Tre had to get back to work this week and she's been locking herself away from the world and that is good for nobody. You might wanna get her a therapist because postpartum depression is a real thing dude."

Prince sat and silently agreed with Erinalia and tapped a beat on his apple as he began thinking of his first ex wife Mayte and her bouts with losing their two children. He didn't was Tremaine and Carlyn going down the same path he did years ago and knew that there had to be a lifeline in place for his daughter just in case she needed it.

"What would I do without you Miss Groves?" He asked her with a smile.

"Thoughtless and lost my friend. Thoughtless and lost." She giggled finishing the last of her paper then saving it to her laptop.

Prince stood up from the table with his fruit in hand. Erinalia closed her laptop and soon wasn't far behind him.

"You sure you don't wanna come P?

"Yeah I'm sure. I got a few things I got to take care of here to keep me busy anyway."

"Like the divorce from she who shall not be named?" Erinalia laughed.

This was still a sensitive topic to discuss but Prince knew that Erinalia was just trying to lighten the mood a little.

"That's what were calling her now?" Prince replied with a smirk.

"Hey you said to never say her name again so.....I'm just following orders!"

"Good job kid."

"Yeah well I try."

"Go back to studying I'll see you when you guys get back."

Prince left out of the kitchen and went over to the reception desk to find Lauren had gone but there was a note left for him.

"Bring your dad ass out of the house and jam with us tonight." He read out loud with a giggle.

Only Andre would call and leave a message like that. Prince smiled and tucked the note in his pocket then went back upstairs to the master suite to get some much needed rest. Closing his bedroom door behind him the scent of lavender and vanilla surrounded him bringing him a strong feeling of calm. Prince went over to his bed and fell backwards on the mattress with his arms out. With in a matter of a few minutes Prince was asleep. His mind took him to a place where all he could hear was the sound of a woman laughing in the distance. The sweet familiar sound filled his ears and his dream carried him to the sound. A warm breeze blew on his face and flowing curls of hair danced between his fingers. The woman turned around and she was exactly who he thought it would be.

"Come on Skipper! Dance with me!" Regan said as she took him by the hand.

How was this possible? Regan had cut her hair and straightened it. She also looked younger than she is right now. Prince was being pulled away from Paisley Park and down the hill to Refuge Lake. When he looked down he was stunned by his own reflection. His hair was much longer now and he looked younger as well. His oversized shirt had exposed his shoulders and his facial hair was perfectly trimmed. Freshly pressed black pants covered his legs with black shoes to match.

"What happened to me?" He questioned as he continued to stare at his younger self.

"What are you talking about troll? C'mon let's go! I have to show you something!" Regan said as she grabbed him by the arm and pulled him farther down the lake's shore.

He couldn't believe it. He and Regan were young again. But the question still remained. Why?
