Two weeks have gone by and Paisley Park was in full swing with staffers running back and forth getting things ready for the surprise baby shower for Carlyn. Tremaine was in on the surprise and since he had the information of the sex of the baby in his hands he had no problem being some assistance to Prince when it came to finalizing the nursery for the baby in a private wing of the living quarters. Everyone was excited especially Prince. After the honeymoon that was all he could focus on. Joey was also excited because he wanted to be a big brother. This would be his chance to cash in on his role modeling and even impress a girl or two from school. Although the baby shower was a few months away Prince wanted everything to be perfect. From the food to the decorations. EVERYTHING had to be up to par for his daughter as well as his grandchild. Prince was over the moon about Carlyn and her pregnancy. She had moved into Tremaine's apartment shortly after the wedding but Prince had convinced them to stay at Paisley instead just so he can be near the baby and to give a hand when needed. He had vowed that once the baby was born that he was going to slow down on working so much and touring so he can at least watch the baby grow and reach each milestone that he had hoped in his younger days he would experience on his own. While the baby shower was being planned privately behind the cherry wood office doors Carlyn was down in the party room making plans of her own. She and Erin were making the menu for the upcoming dinner that she felt was necessary to help her father realize that he had definitely married the wrong woman. Carlyn and Erin composed a very large and extensive list of things to get from the store. Tremaime came into the kitchen to check on his wife and make sure she wasn't overworking herself or putting extra stress on her body.

"Hey love! you ok?" Tremaine asked her as he gave her a quick kiss.

"Yup! just making the menu for now that's all. Erin here is gonna do the shopping since I can't push the cart." Carlyn joked as she looked over at Erin who was scowling at her.

"Seriously? What happened to oh don't worry I'll help?" Erin asked her.

"I am gonna help.....push the cart!"

Carlyn laughed and shook her head as she continued to write out the list out.

"You are just milking this pregnancy aren't you babe?" Tremaine asked with a laugh.

"Yeah she it." Erin said sarcastically.

"Well just think of this way once you have the baby you'll be able to do what you want without restrictions. I promise." Tremaine replied.

He kissed Carlyn on the cheek and headed out the kitchen with two bottles of water.

"I swear that man really loves you. You're so lucky to have him." Erin said happily as she looked to Carlyn with a smile.

"Yeah. I don't know why he was able to stay long enough to actually want to marry me. Even though I did almost lose him."

Erin seemed a little lost and sat the pen she was rolling between her fingers down on the table giving Carlyn her undivided attention.

  "You? Nearly losing Tre? Come on girl quit playing." Erin chuckled.

  "You think I'm joking but I'm not. He almost walked out on me forever. I know he felt like I deserved it but.....I begged him to stay. That was one of the worst nights of my life. I wish that I could go back and fix it. But like daddy always says what's done is done so....no sense on trying to change it now." Carlyn explained as she relived the one night she wants to stay buried in her subconscious.

  "Well....what happened?" Erin asked dying to know more.

Carlyn didn't want to talk about the horrible night she made what was supposed to be a deal breaker for her and Tremaine's relationship but actually only made it stronger.

  "I uh.... I was having an affair with his best friend." She said just low enough so only the two of them could hear.

The shock on Erin's face was as plain as fresh fallen snow in winter. She nearly fell off her stool to just find out that Carlyn was going behind her beloved Tremaine's back.

  "Girl! Give up the goods! Where was I at when all of this went down?" Erin replied in shocked fashion.

Carlyn pulled Erin down by her shoulder and spoke to her as softly as possible.

  "Will you shut up! I don't like talking about this because Tre and I have put this behind us and I know what I did was really messed up. I could have killed him. I never wanted in a million years to hurt him the way I did but it happened and I regret every moment of it."

  "So you slept with him?" Erin asked in a whisper.

Carlyn knew that there was going to be a follow up question but she didn't know it was going to be the big one so soon. She had hoped that she could avoid the question of having sex with another man but since that can of worms was already opened it was best that she go ahead and face the reality of her actions.

  "Well.....we didn't exactly sleep together. There was a lot of alcohol involved and....Tre had just went out to the car with a few of his friends. I was waiting for him to come back when Devin came over to me and asked me if I was ok. I told him that I was alright and was just waiting for Tre to come back. He had offered to keep me company for a while and we were taking a few shots of tequila and having a good time. I guess I had forgotten that Tre was outside and Devin felt that I had a little too much fun and took me into a room where I can sober up. I guess I came on to him. I don't really remember much of what had happened after we got to the room but the next thing I knew I was taking my clothes off and trying to undress Devin too. I don't even if he rejected me or not. I just remember whipping out his package and giving him a good blow job."

  "Did Tre walk in on you?" Erin asked.

  "No. More like Devin walked out and ran into him. I don't know what happened  out in the hall but all I knew was that Tre came and snatched me up from the bed and dragged my ass out to the car."

Erin was never so surprised that her little friend had a wilder side than when she was younger. Carlyn was in another compromising situation that she couldn't talk herself out of no matter how sweet she may seem.

  "So then what happened? Did you guys argue?"

  "Argue? Erin he left me after that night! It took months just to get him to look at me. Nearly a whole school semester before we actually talked about what happened! I hurt him really bad Erin. I never thought that he was going to forgive me but.....he did. When we finally talked about it he told me that he was ready to cut ties with me all together but I had to swear that I'd never hurt him again and I'm going to make sure that it doesn't happen. I love that man way too much to break his heart again. Hell it shouldn't have happened the first time!"

  "Which explains the reason why there was hardly any liquor at the wedding."

Carlyn gave a simple nod and lowered her head. She felt as if she was being shamed about the mistake she made but Erin was never one to judge. Erin took Carlyn by the hand and pulled her off her stool and into her arms.

  "Don't be so sad! What matters is that now you guys are married and have a baby on the way. You and him are in a much better place. Besides it was college anybody could have a wild night or two in college. I'm sure he could have a few bones in his closet that he doesn't want found. Now stop pouting and lets get back to making this list."

Carlyn felt relieved that Erin was understanding to her predicament. She tried to bring herself to smile but she couldn't help herself and just cry in Erin's arms. Erin didn't mind at all was glad to be an ear and a good friend whenever Carlyn needed it.

  "Thank you Erin. And please don't mention this to anyone. Not even Tre! I don't want him reliving that night again."

  "You know you can trust me girl. I wont say a word to anyone about what you told me. Now can we please get back to this menu so we can get something to eat?" Erin groaned with a grin to her friend.

Carlyn wiped her face with a napkin but and giggled pulling Erin away from the table.

  "Why don't we go eat and do the list! You're buying!" Carlyn joked.

The two young women left out of the kitchen all smiles. Unknown to them their secret had traveled to unwanted ears. This was Tori's opportunity to finally get back at Carlyn for treating her like an outcast. She took her new information and made her way from the back of the building to find Carlyn's husband Tremaine.
