The intermittent sound of machines beeped around her in the deep and dark subconscious of her mind. Regan had no idea where she was or what was going on. All she knew for sure that it was dark and she wasn't afraid. She was more at peace. Her body was still and her mind was clear. There was no telling what had happend. All she knew was that she was ready to go to sleep just like Prince had asked her. She was almost certain that she was going to wake up and see his face but when she opened her eyes life around her was black. It never came to bother her because it gave her a happiness and peace that she's never felt before and she loved it. Although it confused her a little there was a dim light that grew brighter behind her. Regan didn't turn around however because the warmth against her back was comforting and she didn't want to lose that happy emotion that she longed for. Regan knew exactly why she was feeling that warmth and a smile grew from her lips and she for the first time spoke without having to see what was going on behind her.

"Daddy?" She called as tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"Yes my sweet little mouse." The deep voice replied behind her as a hand was place gently on her left shoulder.

Regan turned around and faced the man she had missed since she was a little girl. When she saw his face she felt as if she had just seen him the day before he went off to war. He was dressed in his army fatigues and wore a huge smile on his face as he stretched his arms out wide to her.

"Come here little girl and give your old man a hug." He said with a hint of a laugh in his voice.

Regan wasted no time and like a small child she ran into his strong and loving arms and hugged him so tightly that she swore that she was hurting him.

"Daddy i've missed you so much!" She weeped softly into his chest.

The smell of his cologne overwhelmingly filled her senses with joy and she was never more happy to hug the first man she had ever loved just one more time. It was like he was never going to leave her again the longer she held on.

"I've missed you more baby girl. I just have one question for you sweetheart." He said to her as they began to finally break their embrace.

"What's that?" She aked him confused.

"Why are you here?"

Regan's stunned look on her face was more than her father bargained for and he let out a deep sigh. He knew that he had to explain what was going on because she was unaware that she had passed away in her sleep.

"I want you to prepare yourself for what i'm about to show you right now. This may be more painful watching than it was to live it."

Regan took a deep breath and closed her eyes and with the wave of her father's hand images of Regan laying in her mother's bed with Prince laying behind her appeared before her very eyes. What she saw made her heart shatter into a billion pieces. Prince was holding her tightly sobbing uncontrollably. Regan's eyes began to rush tear after broken hearted tear down her face and an unintentional gasp left her body as she slowly raised her hand to her face.

"Skipper. I'm so sorry." Regan whispered behind her right hand as she cried.

She then saw her mother come into the room and drop to her knees by the bed and after a few moments took Regan's lifeless hand in hers kissed it softly and began to weep for the loss of her only child. It was at that moment that Regan had realized what was going on. She turned to her father teary eyed and very much worried for her mom and Prince.

"Daddy......send me back. I can't leave mama alone! Not Now! Not like this!"

"But do you know why you're here?"

"I was told I have cancer daddy....but....I can't leave them alone. They need me."

"I know about that but do you know why you're here?"

Regan was trying to undersand her father's question but as much as she was trying to figure it out she was tired of the mind games.

"Well now I don't since you keep asking me the same question over and over. Why am I here?"

her father smiled and took Regan's hand.

"You're here because......I was being selfish. I missed my little girl and I wanted to see you."

Regan's face went blank and she could feel the anger rising inside of her at her father. She didn't want to be mad at him but now she knows that he was the reason behind her diagnosis. He was the reason for her having to go through the pain of three different surgeries and having to rearrange what she had assumed to be her final days. Moreover he was the cause of every single argument that she had Prince had. Regan couldn't contain the hurt that she was feeling and she lashed out at her father.

"You did this?!?!?! How.....why would you do that to me?!?!?!? I was getting along through my life just fine and then you had to come and take that away from me!!!! WHY?!?!?!"

Her father squeezed his daughter's hand tightly and he could feel himself tearing up as he knew that the reprocussions would have been when he was to see his little girl again.

"I know baby girl and im sorry. I had to watch you grow into a beautiful young woman from far away for so long that......I guess I felt.....a little jealous. Everyone was able to enjoy you and I couldn't. You have every right to feel angry and i'm willing to accept it. Just know that I was never trying to hurt you in any way. I just....I justmissed my little girl so much that.....that I had to see you just one more time.To hug you one more time. To see you're face and to know that my baby really is.......alright."

Her father began to weep and Regan's anger faded away. She wiped his tears and embraced him once more as she cried with him.

"I love you.....my sweet little mouse. I love you so much." He cried to her as he held her tightly once again.

"Oh daddy.....I love you too. I'm sorry for getting so mad. I didn't even think that-"

"It's alright. I didn't really know any other way. I just wanted to see you again."

"Any you will." She repied as she let him go.

"I know. I'll get to see you from where I am." He said with a smile.

"We'll see each other again one day. Just......try not to make it so soon." She joked.

She hugged her father one more time and he gave her a small kiss on the forehead.

"Take care of yourself down there. And your mama."

Regan said her final goodbyes and blew her father a kiss and he caught it and placed it in his pocket they had always done Then sent her back to where her body was. When she opened her eyes she came face to face with bright lights and white walls all around her. Her first thought was she had never left her father. Regan was beginning to panic when she heard a soft familiar voice in her ears and in between the intermitten beeping above her head. The soft familiar touch of a hand grazed her fingertips and it soothed her fears away instantly.

"Welcome back beautiful." She heard Prince say as he leaned into her view.

She was unable to speak because of the tubing in her throat and with that she squeezed Prince's hand letting him know that she was happy to see him.

"Stay calm my love. I'll page the doctors and let them know you're awake. We all thought we lost you." He said as he pushed the call button on the bedside remote. Regan's eyes were teary but she was happy to see another familiar face.

A dream that she had on countless nights had awaken her from a deep sleep again. A wet pillow was what she was now welcomed to in the middle of the night instead to the arms of the man she had been in love with for many years. Regan laid in her bed in one of the may guest rooms of Paisley Park as she tried to erase the dream from her thoughts once more. When she sat up sne ran her hands down her face and let out a deep breath.

"Damnit Prince. Why do you do this to me? Why are you making me feel this way? When will you realize that I am the one who still loves you?" She asked herself as she sat in the moonlit room.

Her mind was clouded with thoughts of what she and Prince had shared over the years and to keeps those thoughts at bay she decided to grab her phone off of the night stand and make her way down to the kitchen to make herself some tea and to find herself some new eye candy. Regan made the decision that she didn't want to make but now that the one she was waiting for had moved on there was no sense in waiting for him to come to his senses. Regan was ready for love and to be loved. She had decided to get back out on the dating scene. Maybe that would be just enough fire to make Prince remember just exactly what he's missing out on. The bitter sting of seeing Regan happy with another man may be just what he needs to see what Tori really is. But.....will it work? The tangled web of lies Tori was weaving could come undone.....IF Regan follows through with what she has in mind.
