In the winter of 2012 Prince was finishing the last leg of his tour when walking off stage a young woman with long black hair and honey tan skin caught his attention. He was smitten by her beauty and was lost in her bright and warm smile.
"Wow! She's something special!" He thought to himself as he stood and watched her from the other side of the stage dancing to the music that played him off to prepare for the encore performance.
His heart was beating a mile a minute and he couldn't keep himself from smiling. He was falling hard for her. Prince was drawn to beautiful things as well as people. He was now thinking of her laugh and what it sounded like. The scent of her fragrance. The softness of Dre skin against his fingertips. He was begging to blush heavily and the world around him was falling empty and quiet with only the mystery girl standing just feet away.
"I have to see her after the show. I have to make her mine." He said to himself.
The hopeless romantic that he was couldn't pull himself away from his daydream and was nudged by his drummer John and his keyboardist Renato.
"Hey man! Whatcha lookin' at? We got a show to do!" John joked.
Prince finally came back to reality and turned to his drummer who was eager to get backstage to change for the second show. Prince couldn't hide his smile from his band members and they immediately knew what's up.
"There he goes again." Renato laughed as he pointed to the pink tinge on the artists' face.
"What?" Prince questioned as he tried to hide his blushing.
"Where is she?" John asked looking in the same direction Prince was when they found him frozen in his tracks.
"Who?" Prince lied.
"Don't try to act like we don't know man. Come on we know you better than you know yourself. It was a woman. Where is she?" Renato asked.
Prince shook his head and grinned.
"It wasn't a woman. It was the crowd! They're digging the show so we have be better than we were just now."
Prince was a very smooth talker indeed. He convinced his friends that there wasn't a woman at all but only he knew that it was. When they left him to go back stage the man turned to look at the beauty that his eyes have found only to see that she was gone. The sting in his beating heart was so strong that he felt a little nauseous. He scanned the front row quickly before his security whisked him away backstage to his dressing room.
"Tony! Come on man! You don't have to grab me so hard." He snapped furiously.
"Sorry boss! You know I'm just doing my job." Tony replied as he closed the dressing room door.
Tony knew that there was something off about his long time employer and friend.
"What's up with you boss?" Tony asked curiously.
Prince sat back in the chair to his vanity and turned to find his security trying to read his face.
"Tony I think.....I think I saw my future out there." He said with a huge smile on his face.
"Oh no. Come on P you think your kids are gonna be ok with that?"
"Carlyn and Joey are already old enough and I think it's time I get back out there! Musicians need love too."
"Yeah but you know how Carly is. She's gonna grill the next woman that comes into your life and if she doesn't approve then....."
Tony took a finger and swiped it across his throat slowly as Prince let out a laugh.
"She's not like that at all. Give my little girl some credit."
"Hey don't get me wrong I do but I'm telling you. She's gonna have you kick her to the curb after the first date."
"Oh stop it no she won't. Carlyn is 22 and is engaged to be married to her boyfriend and Joey needs another parent in the house. He'll be 13 soon. Carlyn was happy with just me and didn't want me to date because she wanted me to herself. Joey on the other hand has been asking me when am I getting married since he was 9. I think......I think I'm ready."
Prince turned back to his vanity and looked himself over in the mirror. He wanted to make sure that his face was perfect just in case he had seen his mystery girl while on stage. His thoughts of her were flooding his mind as he reminisced on the warm smile she had on her face. The way she moved in the dimmed lights in the venue made him want her that much more. He imagined what it would be like waking up to her in the morning and laying next to her. Watching her sleep at night. Making love to her while the candlelight and black satin sheets was all that surrounded them. He tried his best to compose himself and not lust so much for the muse in the audience.
"Who was she? I have to find her. I have to find her tonight. I just need her name for now." He thought as he fixed his eyeliner that had began to fade during the show.
After he touched up his face he changed clothes and mentally prepared himself for his encore. Strapping his shimmering purple acoustic guitar around himself he decided to deviate from the original set list. He decided to play the song Dreamer from his Lotusflow3r album in hopes to see his love at first sight and draw her closer to him and possibly get her to fall for him the same way he fell for her.
"When I find her I have to make her mine." He whispered to himself with a smile.
He took a deep breath as a knock was heard from the other side of the door.
"Showtime P! Let's do it!" One of his bandmates shouted.
A big smile grew on Prince's face as he made his way to the door.
"She's out there! I know she is. I'll find her before the show is over. I can feel it." He thought as he pulled the door open and strutted his way out to the stage.
As the crowd cheered heavily there was only one fan on his mind.
"Look out mystery girl. Here comes your Prince."
