Ch. 28 Quidditch World Cup (Long Chapter)
Long chapter for you guys!
The sunlight was nearly blinding as Harry woke up in his cot beside Ron's bed. An intense feeling of longing engulfed him and pain shot through his heart. He quickly sent his emotions to Ginny and heard quiet footsteps rush to his room. She looked miserable as they stumbled closer to each other.
The feeling was replaced by pure happiness as he engulfed her in his arms. Suddenly, that day couldn't have gotten any better. Then he realized what was happening.
"We have to get out of here!" He exclaimed, tugging Ginny's hand as they rushed out the door. He knew the feeling of getting a new power. And it had been known to be dangerous to people around them. He shuddered to remember that poor first year's face as he got blasted away from them when they got the ability to sense each other's intentions.
He was aware of his parents and Ginny's mum and dad following them blearily into the yard, but was engulfed in the fiery sensation that rocked across his body. A golden glow emanated from them as they came to a stop in the grass. Their parents were yelling for them, but they both stayed still and clutched each other. They saw the twins and Ron stumble towards them and then everything went yellow.
Power coursed through their veins and their hearts started beating as one. Their breathing evened and then it was gone. No explosions, no injuries.
Everyone stood in shock as Harry and Ginny stepped away from each other. They both looked into each other's eyes. Something has changed, they knew it, but what was it? Ginny's hand went to the necklace Harry had given her that Christmas. It was a jeweled broom engraved with Bonded Forever into the side.
"Feel any different?" Harry asked, knowing the answer. She reached her hand out and he took it. They both shut their eyes in sync and commanded their magic to flow out of them into the air. It was as if they had always been able to do this as a ball of magic expanded around them. A force field.
"Wandless magic" Arthur breathed as the forcefield covered the group. Harry and Ginny looked over, again moving in sync which the twins found extremely creepy, even though they were known to do that themselves.
"Yeah" They answered, voices overlapping. Again, creepy. The Bonded laughed and Ginny took his arm, lacing her fingers with his. A glow emanated from their hands.
"Alright" James broke the silence, clapping his hands "more reason for your brothers to be terrified of you, Ginny." He laughed with everyone. "Now, World Cup?"

The next morning was even more hectic. Harry and Ginny had to take turns changing with the other outside the door because being away from each other for more than ten minutes hurt. Harry was fully dressed and posted outside her door when she came out, a smile on her face. His jaw immediately went slack.
She was wearing dark jeans and a white tank top under a really light grey jacket. Her hair was in a messy bun and her necklace hung loosely around her neck. He swallowed and held her hand, trying to play it cool.
"Tongue tied?" His fathers voice seemed to mock in his head. He shook his head and cleared his throat.
"Ready?" He asked, his ears warm. Ginny seemed oblivious to his embarrassment as he was hiding his emotions, but she could tell he was nervous. They both walked downstairs, practically glued to each other's sides.
"Here comes the love birds" James announced. The kids blushed as Lily hit his arm. "Hey! Potter boys can never resist a beautiful red headed girl" He stated. Harry blushed and rolled his eyes while he and Ginny grabbed some toast.
"Ronald!" They heard Hermione screech "Get up!"
"Have they admitted their feelings yet?" Lily asked. Harry shook his head, taking a bite of his toast. Before he even finished chewing, Ginny sent the butter flying to him and he caught it, spreading it on his toast.
"Thanks Gin!" He exclaimed, mouth full of toast. She scrunched up her nose, setting down her glass of orange juice.
"Gross" She muttered, taking a napkin and wiping the crumbs off his chin. He blushed heavily as she tossed the napkin away.
"Sorry" He muttered like a kicked puppy. She patted his arm and went back to her toast. Everyone snickered and continued eating until it was time to go. Ron rushed downstairs and took his toast, bickering with Hermione along the way.
Harry and Ginny always stayed together, not moving more than arms length from each other along the way. Once, Harry caught her before she tripped on a root and they stayed there for a moment, eyes locked.
"Clumsy?" Ginny grinned sheepishly and he laughed. They continued walking, everyone oblivious to their silent displays of affection. Like them holding hands or Harry placing a kiss on Ginny's head every now and then. Even their quiet laughter as she messed up his hair which had grown out considerably during the summer.
During the winter, Harry had noted that she always smelled more of cinnamon than of flowers, but during the summer, he could smell a variety of things. The most bold was.... Something flowery... Almost like lavender or wild flowers.
Harry always smelled musky and of forest, and even occasionally he smelt of cinnamon as well, which she always assumed was from the treacle tarts that he loved. When he just got off the Quidditch field, Ginny always remarked how he smelled of broom polish and that he should stop polishing his broom so often or he'd kill himself with the fumes. But secretly, she liked it.
The wind was rustling their hair as they strolled along, trying to get to wherever Arthur Weasley was taking them. But it soon became clear as they saw a man standing by a tree, tapping his foot in rhythm.
"Hello!" They heard the adults greet, but they had drifted back through the group.
"You okay, Ginny?" Harry asked, brushing her hair out of her eyes. She sighed, holding his hand against her head before letting go. She glanced at the adults and her brothers before continuing.
"I had another Vision last night" She whispers seriously.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Harry asked, slightly hurt. He thought that they had agreed to call each other over when they had Visions.
"I don't know, we all had to get up so early and... Just a lot of stuff happened" She explained. Harry nodded, understanding and slightly touched.
"What happened?" He asked, taking her hand. She took a deep breath.
"Well, I couldn't see much. I was caught in a mass of people and black cloaks. All I could see was the sky, which had the Dark Mark in it" She breathed out, and glanced back to the adults who were getting ready to Port Key. Harry kissed her forehead as James called them over.
"Come on! We do not need anymore PDA, guys!" He shouted. Lily gave him a look and he placed his finger on a soiled boot. The Bonded didn't get to continue talking, because soon, everyone was waiting for them. They hurriedly grabbed the boot just as the Port Key took off.
Harry hated Port Keying, it was preferable to Apparation, but he still disliked it. He'd only Port Keyed once and still hadn't gotten the hang of it, so when he was told to let go, he crashed onto the ground and knocked Ginny over.
"Harry!" She exclaimed as she hit the ground. Everyone laughed at his flustered look as he helped her up, but he didn't think it was funny.
"You okay?" He asked as she dusted herself off.
"Well, I thought we agreed that you would give me some warning before you tackle me, but otherwise, I'm fantastic" She said with a sassy smile. He smiled back slightly, his ears turning red.
The group made their way to the tent, hurrying to climb in as their feet had grown exceedingly tired. The Bonded collapsed on the couch, Ginny's legs crossing over Harry's. "Magic never ceases to amaze me" Harry commented, looking up at the ceiling. Ginny laughed, shifting slightly so she could see him better. Most of the family had already collapsed on their individual beds for a quick nap before the game.
"Yeah" Ginny said, holding his hand. "Harry, I really am sorry for not telling you about the Vision. I should have, it could have been a danger to us" She looked ashamed of herself as she refused to meet his eyes. He wanted to be angry, but she was just too dang cute! He leaned over and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"I'm not angry, love" He blushed as he realized what he'd said, but Ginny didn't seem to mind, or she didn't notice in the first place. "Just tell me next time, okay?" He wiped another strand of hair out of her face and planted a kiss on her cheek. She sat up and curled into his side, her eyes drooping.
They both drifted off, not even caring that Ron might explode when he sees them. They were just too comfortable with the warm feeling that was spreading through their chests.

First thing, Harry woke to the smell of Ginny's hair. He realized that everyone around them was hustling to get ready, so he lightly shook his soulmate awake, causing her to stir slightly before bolting up.
"Oh!" She rubbed her eyes and stood. Harry stood after her as everyone got ready to leave. He didn't really need anything besides a scarf because it was slightly chilly outside.
They all left, rushing to get to their seats. But they were interrupted by a light haired boy.
"Filthy Blood-traitors... And Mudbloods" He looked at Hermione, Ginny and Ron both started foreword, but were stopped by their father. Draco could feel the power radiating off of Ginny and Harry, but still made the stupid decision to continue taunting.
"And you" He looked at Ginny "Potter's little girlfriend. I actually thought you might have been different... But you're the same stupid Blood-traitor as the rest of your-" He was cut off as Harry attacked him, hitting his face until Arthur and James pulled him back.
Draco scurried away, his eye turning black. Everyone else drifted into an awkward silence as Harry massaged his knuckles. Ginny took his hand and pulled him over to get some ice from the lady selling snacks before turning him to look at her.
"Why'd you do that?" She asked calmly, placing the ice bag on his hand. He winced, grabbing her hand.
"He called you stupid" He mumbled. Ginny looked up and smiled slightly.
"That was pretty awesome" She admitted, kissing his cheek. He beamed, flushing red as they made their way to their seats.
The game went by fast, the Irish coming out as champions no matter how much Ron yelled that they'd cheated.
After a while, they collapsed back in the tent. The couples sitting together, even the ones that hadn't admitted their feelings yet. Ginny curled into Harry's side much like before, laying her head on his arm.
Everything was perfect. Even as Ron chased the twins who teased him. Perfect, until the explosions.
