Did you know that God loves you? Well he does. Very much. More than anyone else does or can. For good reason too: He made you, and he wants a relationship with you. Thing is, such a relationship is impossible as we humans are beings of sin, and God is holy and righteous and can't abide sin.

You see, we weren't created that way. A looong time ago (approx. 6,000 years), in the Garden of Eden, life was perfect in every way. No sickness, pain, death, hate, sorrow... Everything was great because there wasn't any sin. But then, mankind sinned and brought God's wrath upon us. So God sundered us from Him.

But God still loved us, even though we were now detestable in His sight. There's a saying: hate the sin, love the sinner, that pretty much sums it up.

So God sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world to become the perfect sacrifice and do away with sin forever. He came into the world and was the perfect man. He took all our sin upon Himself and was killed on the cross. He shed His blood to wash away our sins and make us white as snow. It was a free gift. All we have to do is accept it, and follow Him.

We humans are sinful beings. We're born that way. If we don't accept this gift, when we die, we'll burn and be tortured forever in Hell. Such are the consequences of sin.

You can't earn your way into Salvation. To do that, you'd have to have never sinned, and Romans 3:23 states that: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

So to get Salvation and be with God, you need to confess to God that you've sinned, ask His forgiveness, and accept His free gift. Read the Bible and learn about Him, and follow His laws.

It's pretty simple and straightforward.
