The truth
"Now, now there's no need to be so defensive." Said Laito appearing beside Yui and placing a hand on her shoulder. Kanato appeared by Chi's side, this girl was interesting him more and more. Her scent was different from a normal humans, she wasn't scared of them at all, she hadn't even flinched and she was very protective over her sister. It was almost as if she didn't care what happened to her as long as her sister was okay. "You're both about to become very good friends with us all so you don't need that silly old cellphone anyway, right?"
"I have been feeling quite peckish." Said Kanato moving closer to Chi.
"Tell me about it." Said Laito moving closer to Yui. "And they both smell so good." He whispered in her ear. Yui winced and pulled out of there grasp. She turned and ran away from them but she tripped and fell.
"Yui!" Called out Chi as she went to her sister.
"Ow." Said Yui and she turned and Chi saw the blood coming from her injured knee.
"Oh no." Said Chi as the two looked behind them at the brothers. There eyes glistened with hunger and their mouths were slightly ajar revealing pointed fangs. Chi was right all along...
"Vampire?" Said Yui out loud. She reached into her back pocket. Chi knew what she was doing, she didn't believe that it would work but right now it was the only chance they had at surviving. They had walked right into a vampire's den and there were now 6 vampires all craving their blood. Yui grabbed the base of the pink rosary with two hands and held it out to them. "Take this." She said closing her eyes. Chi watched as the vampires just looked at her like she was an idiot. Not going to work, she thought to herself. A small laugh came from Shuu would was still lying on the sofa like nothing was happening.
"Honestly." Said Reiji walking towards a chair and sitting down. He crossed his legs together and entangles his hand and sat staring not at the two but straight ahead. "Did you really believe that fairy tail written by a mortal claiming that vampires are vulnerable to garlic, hold crosses and sunshine? It just goes to show how arrogant mortals can be. It makes me furious." Yui stood up and grabbed her sisters hand. She dragged her out of the room the doors closing behind them. Yui's breathing was becoming heavier as she began to panic more and more.
"Yui, Yui were are you going?"
"We have to get out of here."
"Yui there's no point. Now we're in we can't escape. You really think we can escape from 6 vampires?"
"We have to try."
"Our Father was a vampire hunter Yui, he told us all about them. It's very hard for a human to kill them. They can just sniff us out again, they know our scent now. There's no where we can hide." Yui ignored her sister and continued to run. They turned down a hall were there were tables set up with lots of sweets on it. Stood there at the end of the table was Kanato, holding his teddy like before.
"I'll break both of you." He said as they ran past. Yui dragged Chi down the next hall were she found a old fashioned phone. Yui picked up the phone and put it to her ear and then she saw that the chord had been cut.
"I told you you won't need a phone anymore. Now we're did those two little bitches go?" Said the voice of Laito. The two sister began to back up slowly, not sure where the voice was coming from but still holding each others hands. Then Chi felt a presence behind them and Raito's face appeared in between the two. He placed one hand on Chi's right shoulder and the other of Yui's left. "Guess who?" He said with an evil smile. Chi felt a strong tug and Yui began to run away again, leaving Laito behind in the hall alone. The two had found the entrance hall again and Yui ran to the front door were she tried desperately to open it.
"Please open." She begged the door. Chi watched her sister helpless attempts, it was so late. They were caught, no escaping now. They were like helpless flys that had wondered straight into the spiders web. Just waiting for the time when the spider finally decides that it's feeding time and drains the two completely of their blood, their life source. Chi felt a hand on her hip as someone pushed her towards the door to join Yui. Then a hand was placed by the side of her head and Yui whipped around to be met with the face of Ayato.
"Where do you think your going?" He asked them. "It's time for the much anticipated scream. Please humour me by screaming at the top of your lungs. You can't get away from me now." He said moving in closer.
"We'd never give you the satisfaction." Said Chi pushing him off. It was her that pulled Yui this time. Ayato stood by the door and watched the two run. The girl had pushed him off with much force, this was going to be more fun than he thought. He would make the two his and no one else's. He laughed evilly as the two ran up the stairs. Chi stopped and looked down two corridors. Which way should they go? Yui was the one to decide and she pulled Chi down the one on the right. They came to a spiralling staircase which they climbed as quickly as they could. The then came to a slightly open door with a broken padlock and chains on the floor just in front of them. Yui and Chi slowed down to walking pace and went inside. The room was dark, no light apart from the moonlight shining through the single window. Everything was covered in white sheeting. On the top of a wooden surface there were many pretty jewels of all different shapes and colours. Chi stayed by the jewels, looking at them all. She didn't touch she just looked, they were all so beautiful. Yui moved further into the room and stopped at the window. Chi noticed how she seemed to be frozen on the spot and then she crunched her face up in pain and clung to her chest. She began to topple backwards and banged into the wooden cabinet behind her making several books fall to the floor.
"It...hurts." She said as Chi came to her side.
"Yui what is it? What hurts?" She asked feeling worried.
"My heart...that woman." She said but when Chi looked out of the window she saw no woman, just the moon in the night sky.
"Yui...there's no one there." But the Chi felt it. It was a cold presence drifting through the room. It was clear that there was something else in there with them, but what had Yui seen? Yui did seem to calm down thought and sighed in relief as she saw the woman with the long purple hair was gone. An open book on the floor caught Chi's attention, there were two pictures placed inside. "What's this?" She said picking up the dairy. Yui leaned in closer to have a look for herself. Chi pulled the two photos out. The first one showed their Father holding a small baby girl with short blonde hair. She was dressed in pink with a very familair rosary around her neck.
"Is that me?" Yui questioned taking the picture from her and looking at it more closely. The second photo had their Father in it again but this time he was holding the hand of what looked like Yui at the age of one. With his other arm he held a small child. The baby girl's eyes were bright blue and her hair was jet black. Chi knew that it was her but what freaked her out most was that she was covered in blood, from head to toe she was drenched and their Father didn't look too happy to be holding her in his arms like that. Yui looked at the picture Chi was holding. "Chi, is that you? Why are you covered in blood?" Yui asked but Chi didn't have an answer for her. Why did their Father look so unhappy? He was smiling but Chi could see the disgust behind his eyes.
"Maybe that's why he called me Chi..." She said to herself. "Chi does mean blood in Japanese." Yui didn't hear what her sister was saying and took the dairy from her hands.
"Is this Fahter's dairy? But how?" She said and she began to read. "Yui and Chi bring me happiness. The fact they are not actually my children no longer matters to me. Chi can be a handful but I have come to love her just as much I would my own flesh and blood. I was hesitant at taking her in at first, considering what she is but she and Yui get on so well and I think that they are really starting to see each other as sisters. I am thankful everyday for these two blessings." Yui finished and looked at her twin. "What does this mean?"
"It means we are not our Fathers daughters and it means that you and I are not really sisters." Said Chi. If she thought about it she knew that all along, she just never wanted to admit it too herself. They were too different and there were too many plot holes in their Father's story for it to be true. If she knew this deep down why did it still hurt so much?
"No that can't be true. I don't understand why our Father's dairy is here."
"Of all the rooms, you had to pick this one to enter." Said the cold voice of Reiji. Chi and Yui looked uo to see the 6 brothers in the room with them. Laito was right in front of them, crouched down with a smile on his face. Kanato was stood up next to him looking down at the two. Ayato was to the right leaning on a covered piece of furniture. Reiji was behind Raito and Kanato by the window. Shuu was by the door but not looking at them and Subaru had his arms followed and looking at the floor like he didn't want to be there. "We locked that door so no one could get in. I will have to fit a new lock."
"That's for sure. So how did you little bitches get in here?" Asked Laito.
"Please stay put. You are my prey." Said Kanato darkly to which Chi glared at him.
"We are nobodies prey."
"Stop with the excuses." Said Subaru banging the cabinet making more books fall from the bookshelves. One nearly hit Yui on the head but Chi managed to catch it just before it hurt her. Yui had her eyes closed and she looked scared but everyone else saw it. Her reflexes were very quick, she was becoming more and more interesting by the second. Kanato smiled down at her and she placed the book on the floor and placed a hand on her sister shoulder, trying to reassure her that everything would be fine.
"Oh you! Not again Subaru." Yui opened her eyes with a scared look on her face. Ayato moved from his seat and moved closer to them. Chi glared at him. He grabbed her by the chin and came closer.
"Now that's a look that really gets my juices going." He said licking the side of her face.
"Perhaps I will take part too." Said Laito moving towards Yui who flinched at his touch.
"I want a taste too." Said Kanato bending down near Chi. Laito and Ayato continued to lick their new found prey.
"There is one fact you must comprehend. You can never escape from us." Said Reiji.
"Just get straight to the point. Tell them if they try to escape their dead." Said Subaru.
"St-stop..." Said Yui. Chi was more worried about her sister who was terrified than she was for herself.
"She said stop it!" Shouted Chi and there was a sound of shattering as the glass on a picture on the floor broke. Everyone stopped what they were doing and the room went quite.
"My bad, I knocked it over." Said Shuu calmly. Yui moved closer to Chi. Chi looked up at Kanato who was staring at the broken picture. Slightly she did something she hadn't done in a long time, she reached out to someone she didn't really believe in. If there really was a God up there now would be a good time for him to get off his ass and help them...
