Punishment
Chi left Yui's room and went into her own, she rubbed her neck because it was sore. She had been bitten on the neck three times on the same day. At this rate she really was going to die of blood loss. Chi opened the door to her own bedroom and slid in shutting the door and sighing. If Kanato found out that Ayato had drank her blood too he might try and kill her again. She didn't want to have to beg him for forgiveness again, that was degrading and she hated it. She was not the kind of girl to do stuff like that and yet she had to do it if she wanted to stay alive. She wasn't scared of death, she wasn't lying when she told Ayato that but she didn't want to die either. Yui was very different, she was much kinder than Chi. She would endure her pain, she was strong like that but instead of using force to get them to stop she would simply ask them nicely to stop but Chi knew that was never going to work. These people were blood thirsty vampires, they weren't going to stop unless you made them stop.
"Teddy what do you think of Chi's second betrayal in one day?" Said the voice of Kanato as he appeared leaning on the wall by the door. He held Teddy so that he was facing him.
"Kanato." Chi said. "I didn't betray you."
"You let Ayato drink your blood, didn't you?"
"No...it wasn't like that."
"I thought that you might have learnt your lesson after today but it seems that you haven't. Oh well, bad girls have to be punished." Kanato moved closer to her and moved her out of the way of the door. He opened it and grabbed her hand, dragging her out of the room.
"Where are we going?" She asked him but he didn't respond. He continued to drag her down many halls. Soon they came to a hall where there was no light at all. It was pitch black but Chi could see quiet clearly. That was strange she hadn't been able to see that well in the dark before. Kanato stopped and opened a door and dragged Chi into the room. He let go of her hand, Chi felt herself become a little sad that he let go of her. She looked around but couldn't see him anywhere. Where had he gone? "Kanato?" He called out to him.
"I'm here." He said appearing beside her carrying and old fashioned candle holder that held five alit candles. The fire light lit up the room very well and Chi looked around. Handing on the walls there were many tools and on the ground there were what looked like...
"Are those iron maidens?" She asked him. Kanato smiled at her.
"So you know what they are then, that's good. They are indeed."
"And why do you have so many down here?" Chi asked already knowing the answer but not really wanting to believe it.
"Because this is the torture room." He said like it was obvious.
"So those things on the walls are all torture equipment?" Kanato nodded. "And...have they all been used?"
"Of course, tools are meant to be used after all." Kanato turned away from her and to the table that was laid out with many tools. "Now Teddy which do you think Chi would like more?" He asked placing the candle holder down on the table for a minute. Chi looked at the floor, she hated too admit it but now she was getting a little scared. She was trapped in a dark room full of torture tools and Kanato, someone who she knew would kill her. "I think this one is the best." He picked up a very sharp looking object with a long thin handle and two sharp prongs on the end. "Teddy and I like this one. It doesn't look like much but it causes a lot of pleasure."
"Pleasure?" Chi questions. It looks nothing like something that would cause pleasure unless Kanato considered pain to be pleasure. The thought made Chi's stomach churn. To think something like that the person would have to be a sick, mentally disturbed but then again that might be a good way to describe someone like Kanato. She had seen him completely destroy a plate and laugh like it was funny not too long ago. He talked to a teddy like it had a mind of it's own, he was manipulative, possessive and he seemed to enjoy hurting others. Despite his kind face and gently smile that sometimes appears he was sick, it was the perfect word to describe him. Kanato smiled at her.
"Would you like to see for yourself?" He asked but before she got a chance to answer Kanato stabbed the sharp tool into her right arm, just below her shoulder. Chi grabbed the wounded area and fell to the floor. It had began to bleed immediately. She was on her knees, breathing hard to try and stop the pain. Kanato watched her from above, even though she was in a lot of pain she still didn't scream, she was merely whimpering. What did he have to do to make her scream? Kanato moved away from her and picked up the candle holder and began to head for the door but Chi reached out to him from the floor with her blood covered left hand.
"Kanato..." She called.
"Don't worry Chi I will be back but Teddy and I think you need some time to think more about what you have done." He said as he turned back around and headed out of the door with the only light. He closed the door leaving Chi in there cold, alone, in pain and in the dark...
Chi opened her eyes to find she was still in the torture room. Kanato still hadn't come back and she was sat in a pool of her own blood. She was cold to the bone. How long had she been in there now? Was it days? No it was probably just a few hours but it felt like more. If it had been days surely someone would have found her. Yui or one of the other brothers. Chi laid her head back down on the cold stone floor, she was tired and she felt weak. She heard the door creak open and a warm glow entered the room.
"Kanato..." She called knowing that it must have been him. She felt someone approach her and stroke her face almost lovingly.
"Have you thought about what you have done Chi?" Asked the voice of Kanato. Chi still didn't see that she had done anything wrong but that wasn't a smart thing for her to say.
"Yes and I'm sorry." Kanato smiled and put the candle holder down on the floor. Whilst still holding Teddy with his right arm he pulled the thing out of her arm and tossed it aside. Then he gently pulled her top down to look at the wound.
"Oh dear Chi, let me clean you up." He said as he bent down and licked the dry blood from her wound. His tongue sting her but she remained quiet and endured it. She really didn't understand him. He had injured her, left her in a room like that and then came back to clean the wound he made. Kanato stopped and looked down at her. He gave her a gentle smile, the one that seemed to make Chi's heart flutter in her cheat a little. "You are a good girl." He said as he bent down and kissed her on the lips tenderly. Chi felt herself kissing him back even after everything he had done. She was becoming rather attached to him. Kanato pulled away and stood up. He grabbed the candle holder and moved towards the door. He stopped and looked back at Chi who was slowly getting up. She moved closer to him and then the two walked out of the room together. Kanato walked Chi back to her room in silence. The two didn't bump into anyone else but Chi was pleases about that, it seemed that everyone had gone to bed. Chi wasn't in the mood to deal with any more vampires anyway and if Yui saw her like this she would panic and Chi didn't want that. This would make Yui worry about her and Yui had enough on her plate. Yui was much more venerable to the vampires than Chi was. Chi could defend herself a little but Yui was defenceless. Kanato stopped at her door and Chi moved to open it.
"Thank you for walking me back." She said to him. He smiled gently at her.
"Goodnight Chi." He said before disappearing into the shadows.
"Night Kanato..."
