Chi's eyes fluttered open and she saw that she was in a light room. She looked like she was in bed but she didn't remember getting in bed. She yawned and rubbed her eye, she was still so tired. She rolled over on the soft bed she was laid.

"Are you awake yet?" Said a male voice from beside her. She opened her eyes again to find Kanato sat on her bed right beside her with his teddy in his arms. Chi quickly sat up and got out of the bed.

"What are you doing?" She asked backing away from him. Kanato tilted his head to the side like he didn't understand what the problem was.

"Your sleeping face was so cute, how could I possibly leave?" Chi looked down and was she was in a black lacy nightgown that came down to just above her knees. She didn't change into this. Feeling a little embarrassed she pulled the hem down a little to cover as much skin as she could. She was looking at the floor when Kanato suddenly appeared right in front of her. Chi looked up at him, he was a little taller than her but not much. He was so close that their noses were almost touching. "Why cover up? I have already seen all there is to see and besides your skin is so white and smooth...it's like porcelain, you should be proud of it. Teddy thinks so too." Chi didn't really know what to say, she always though her skin was too pale and that it looked unhealthy. She would be made fun of at school because if it, they used to call her 'ghost girl.' It was mainly because of the colour of her skin but also because she had the tendency to appear out of nowhere and scare people, even when she had been stood there for a long time. They never seemed to notice her and when they did they were scared.

"Thank you." She said, then she thought back to how he had referred to teddy. He talked about him like the teddy had talked to him. "So your teddy...can talk?" She asked.

"Of course. Teddy is a person after all. He has thoughts and feelings just like anybody else."

"I see...then may I say hello?" She asked him. Kanato's expression turned very dark very quickly, it was clear that she had said the wrong thing.

"Teddy does not take to low lives like humans, he is far too important and I am the only one Teddy needs to talk to. I am more than enough company for him." Chi held her hands up and backed away slowly.

"I'm sorry, I was just trying to be polite." Her words seemed to calm him down and his expression softened again. It was clear that this guy could change his emotions like the click of a finger. She had to be careful around him and no she knew that he considered his teddy as being higher up in the social standing than her things got a little complicated. Talking about the teddy seemed to be off the table. Then something clicked in her mind, why hadn't she thought about it before. "Where's Yui?" She asked suddenly feeling panicked.

"She is sleeping in the room next to this one." Chi sighed a sigh of relief. She was glad she was okay. "You need to get ready."

"Ready for what?" Chi asked.

"School. Teddy and I placed your uniform on the bed." He said with a smile. Chi smiled back.

"Thank you." She walked past him and went to the uniform on the bed. It was a navy blue jacket, a white blouse, a red bow at the top and then a navy blue pleated skirt with four brown buttons and white frills at the bottom. "You all attend night school then?"

"Yes but Teddy and I don't like it there much." Chi smiled a little.

"There are very few that enjoy school." She said as Kanato appeared right beside her.

"You do not flinch when I come near you. Are you not scared of me?"

"Not at the moment. I'm more scared for my sister than I am myself." She confessed. Kanato turned Teddy around and spoke directly to him.

"You see Teddy this is what it looks like when someone cares a lot for someone else. Isn't it strange?" Chi watched the encounter in silence.

"Is there no one you care for enough to put their life above your own?"

"Teddy. Teddy is the most important person to me." He said hugging Teddy tighter. "Will you not get changed now?" He asked her.

"But you are still here?" Chi responded.

"I told you that I have seen it before when I placed you in that nightgown."

"Yeah about that. Isn't it a little weird to change someone while they sleep?"

"We couldn't just let you sleep in your clothes." By the 'we' Chi assumed he meant he and Teddy but she wasn't sure. Chi sighed inwardly and looked down at the uniform in front of her. Chi looked at Kanato from the side, he was still stood there waiting expectantly. She wished he would back up a little, he was too close for comfort. She undid the lace at the back and ket the nightgown drop to the floor. She was wearing her black underwear that she had put on this morning, at leat he hadn't changed that. She picked up the blouse and was about to put it one when she felt a hand run up her back. Her eyes widened in surprise, it wasn't the most pleasant feeling in the world, his hands were cold but then again she was also normally cold and she couldn't deny that it didn't feel awful at the same time. Kanato giggled a little and leaned into her. "You should see the dirty face your making." He moved so that he was stood in front of her and licked her neck slightly.

"Please don't." Chi said calmly. Kanato continued to lick her.

"After how patient I have already been with you you're going to deny me something that is mine?"

"My blood is not yours."

"You are my prey and I will be your first. I will make you mine and no one else. You would like that wouldn't you? To become mine?" Chi didn't answer which made Kanato smile into her skin. Then he opened his mouth and let his fangs sink into her soft skin. He bite down hard causing Chi a large amount of pain but she bit her tongue and did not call out. She could feel the blood and what little warm she had begin to leave her body as he drank from one of her main arteries. Kanato stopped and licked the side of her face. "You taste like nothing I have tasted before. It's delicious and so sweet. Sweeter than anything I've ever eaten." He whispered before biting down on her again. This time it was even harder but Chi refused to cry out for help or in pain. After a few minutes Kanato pulled away from her. "What a good girl you are. You didn't even call out or fight back. Would you like a reward for being so good?" Chi stared at him.

"What kind of reward?" She asked thinking at he was going to drink more of her blood. Kanato smiled and leaned in but he didn't go for her neck this time. Instead he planted a very gently, tender kiss on her lips. She did't know how to react. Her first kiss was with a guy that had just drank her blood but even through he had been so rough with her when drinking her blood his kiss was sweet and gently, like he was kissing a lover and not someone he considered food.

"We will leave you to get ready now." Said Kanato and he left the room without another sound...
