Kanato took Chi by the hand and led her out of his creepy doll room. Chi was thankfully to be finally out of that place and silently followed Kanato. The unknown presence was getting stronger and stronger until they eventually entered the place where Yui and she were brought when they first came to the Sakamaki mansion. Up on the balcony she saw Yui, a guy with green hair that must have been the brothers Uncle and Reiji. On the ground below then there was Laito, looking up and Yui who was leaning on the balcony with a smirk on her face. Kanato pulled Chi further into the room and when they were stood beside Laito Chi could see that this was not Yui. Yui eyes were green now and not pink. The same green eye that reminded her of someone, and that overwhelming presence they had felt was coming from her.

"Well if it isn't my little song bird." Said Yui in a voice that was not her own. "Won't you please sing a song for Mommy, entertain us like you did in the old days?"

"Is that you Mother? How can this be." Kanato said quietly. Mother? But Kanato had said that he and Laito and Ayato had killed their Mother. She was dead, Chi and Kanato had even visited her grave together so how was this possible?

"Won't you introduce me to the girl you so tightly cling too?" She asked smiling at Chi.

"This is Chi Mother." Kanato said simply. Yui...no Cordelia chuckled.

"I never imagined that someone would be able to steal my little songbirds heart like that. It's rather selfish. Kanato can only be one person's songbird you know and a Mother always come before the girlfriend because he belongs to me."

"He does not belong to you." Chi said through gritted teeth. She was angry at this woman and she really didn't understand anything that was going on right now. Cordelia narrowed her eyes at the girl who held her sons hand. There was no doubt that she was pretty which made Cordelia dislike her even more.

"If you are so determined to keep him perhaps you can prove you're worth to me."

"Mother please. I have choosen Chi to be my partner, I would like it for you not to speak to her like that." Kanato said. Was he really standing up to his Mother for her? Cordelia's cold eyes turned to him but then a smile spread across her lips.

"Of course my little songbird but you see I will not simply hand you over to anyone."

"What have you done with Yui?" Chi blurted out not being able to hold the question which had been burning in the back of her brain any longer.

"What is it to you? She is mortal and you are a vampire are you not? Has no one ever taught you that you shouldn't get attached to prey?"

"She is not my prey, she is my sister and I want her back." Chi demanded.

"How ridiculous. There is no possible way such a thing could be true."

"Oh be quiet Cordelia." Said the voice of Subaru from the back of the room. "Neither you nor Richter belongs in this house." He walked forward. "Get lost both of you."

"You play the tough guy act well Subaru." Richter said as a smile spread across his face. "It's such a shame you couldn't protect your own Mother." That seemed to strike a nerve.

"Shut the hell up." Shouted Subaru as her jumped high into the air landing on the banister. He threw a punch at Richter but he caught it in his hands and twisted it. Subaru's wrist made a cracking sound but that didn't stop him. Next Subaru attempted to kick him but Richter dodges his second attack with ease. Subaru jumped back down landing smoothly just behind the Chi, Kanato and Laito who all watched the attack.

"Feel free to challenge me as often as you like, none of you will ever be a match for me." Richter said this but his eyes travelled to Chi. He had heard about this girl, he knew of her power. She could defeat him easily with her 'hybrids curse' but he also knew that she had only just woken as a vampire and she had no idea how to use it or the unimaginable power that slept within her. Reiji turned and walked away from them when a small laugh came from behind them.

"Are you sure you should be so cocky about that?" Shu asked him as he lay on the sofa with his eyes closed. He had noticed his glance towards Chi, he knew that his Uncle was a little worried about the black haired girl but of course he would never admit that someone could be more powerful than him. Especially not a girl at that.

"What was that?" Richter asked him coldly.

"You act like you're the tough one but you're just putting on a show."

"Shu, what are you trying to say?" Shu slowly stood up and looked Richter directly in the eyes.

"Face it you're a loser. Not even worthy to lick Karlheinz boots. You'll never be head of this family."

"Hmm." Said Richter clearly annoyed.

"Is this really the best entertainment you can come up with? You people are as dull as ever and you know what the worst part is? You're keeping me from becoming the vibrant woman that I deserve to be." Chi clutched Kanato's hand in anger. Kanato glance at her to see a raging fire burning in the eyes and her body shaking with rage.

"Just who the hell do you think you are?" She shouted at her. Everyone turned to look at her with wide eyes. It was unlike Chi too get so angry, it was something they had never seen before. "I don't know exactly what you did to the triplets when they were kids but I can assume it was pretty bad for them to be driven to killing you and now after all this time you come back and act as if nothing's happened."

"Shouting at me is not going to endear me to letting you date my little songbird." Cordelia said with cold eyes.

"As if I'm looking for your approval. I don't want it and in fact if I did ever get it I would consider it a bad thing. I'd have to be pretty messed up myself to get the approval of someone like you."

"I suggest you watch your tongue child." The room became pitch black, the fire lighting the room was put out but a cold gust of wind. Being vampires thought the dark didn't bother then, they call all see everything clearly. Including the terrifying face that Chi was pulling. A large crack appeared at Chi feet, the brothers glanced at each other. Was this is? Was this 'the hybrids curse'? She had been warned to keep a hold of her temper but it seemed that the situation was making it impossible for her to do so. Even Cordelia and Richter looked terrified of the girl before them.

"Watch my tongue? You would dare to say that to me after everything you've done. I want my sister back, that body doesn't belong to you. I want you out of it and Yui back." She said in a very commanding voice. The crack at her feet grew a little larger and a chilling wind was starting to pick up, circling around Chi herself. Chi however looked unaffected by the sudden change in temperature.

"Chi, you're starting to scare me." Said Kanato quietly. He still held her hand but he was clutching onto Teddy nervously. Chi seemed to calm down a little and looked over at him.

"Kanato..." She said his name softly. The wind was picking up even more, it was like they were in the middle of a tornado. They could no longer see the two on the landing but the five brothers were all there. Surrounding the girl.

"If you carry on like this little bitch you'll bring the whole place down." Said Laito in her ear.

"Yes that would be very troublesome for me so please calm down." Reiji said fixing his glasses like he always did.

"Trust me I want to get those bastards as much as you do." Subaru said through clenched teeth.

"I get you're angry. We all know how protective you are of Yui but at this rate you will put 'the hybrids curse' on both Richter and Cordelia. You'd be condemning both them and Yui to that fate and lose all hopes of getting Yui back at all." Shu explained calmly. She'd lose Yui....forever? Chi thought and the wind instantly disappeared. There was an even larger crack in the floor and the furniture was everywhere, most of it broken but it's exterior was still in perfect condition. She looked up too see Richter hugging Cordelia protectively, shielding her from the indoor storm with his own body. Chi took a deep breath in and out and turned her attention to Kanato.

"I'm sorry..." She said softly. "But Yui is important to me so that's why...I have to get her back."

"Teddy and I will help you." He replied.

"You will?"

"We don't like the way Chi always thinks of Yui before us but if Yui dies Chi will cry and we might not ever be able to cheer her up. As much as she annoys me I will not allow her to die...for Chi's sake..."
