All human?..

Chi was in here room after they got back from school. She was on her own which she was grateful for, she was feeling very tired and needed to sleep, but she was also very hungry. They still hadn't had dinner het but she figured she had tome to get changed before then. She took her school jacket off when she heard a frantic knock at the door. She knew that it had to be Yui because nobody else would have knocked. She quickly put her jacket back on and opened the door. It was Yui and she pulled Chi out of the room and closer to her.

"Hey what..."

"I need your help." Yui said cutting her off.

"With what? Your not thinking about trying to escape are you?"

"No, it's about Father's dairy. I can't stop thinking about it." In truth Chi couldn't either and she couldn't get the picture out if her head. Why was she covered in blood? Who's blood was that? Why had their Father been hesitant about taking her in 'because of what she is'? What was she? Was she not just human like she believed she was?

"Yeah me neither but what has that got to do with needing my help?"

"I'm going to go back up there and get it."

"Yui that's a crazy idea, they'll catch us."

"Not if we're quiet." Chi still didn't look sure. "Look no one here is going to tell us why exactly we are here and what they meant by prospective brides. Father's dairy is the only thing we have to working out all of this. It might explain what he meant about you. It might tell us where we actually come from."

"Alright fine." She said making Yui smile a little. Then the two began to walk towards the spiral staircase as quietly as they could. Chi kept a look out but she didn't see any of the brothers but then again they were vampires, they weren't seen unless they wanted to be seen. They could very well be just hiding in the shadows watching their every move. Yui and Chi climbed the spiral stairway and came to the same door they had yesterday. Luckily Reji hadn't already fixed it with a new lock and the two got in easily. Yui rushed to the place were they had found the dairy yesterday and rummaged through the books.

"Thank goodness, I found it." Said Yui happily. Chi bent down next to her and watched as she began to flip through it but the pages were blank. There was no writing on them anymore.

"What? How is that even possible?" Chi asked. "Are you sure that it's the right one?"

"Yes look." She said pulling the two photographs out of the dairy. They were the same as the ones yesterday.

"Do you think it could be the doing of one of the brothers?"

"It might be but how could they do something like this?"

"Who knows their vampires."

"Chi don't say that."

"What vampires?"

"Yes."

"Why not? It's true."

"Yes but it's creepy."

"Alright. You should keep the dairy in your draw, you know in case anything comes back. The pictures too." Said Chi but Yui handed her the picture of her.

"You take the one of you. It's only fair." Chi didn't really want it. The fact she was covered in blood creeped her out but it occurred to her that it might also creepy Yui out too and that's why she was trying to get rid if it.

"Wait Yui does this picture make you scared of me?"

"No...i-it just leaves a lot of un answered questions. I mean who's blood is that? Why did Father but in his dairy 'because of what she is?' I just don't understand."

"Neither do I. If I had any answers you'd know about them because I'd tell you. This photo creeps me out too, I mean it's me...as a baby...covered in blood. Father looks so happy in yours and he looks like he is disgusted to be holding me. What could have happened for me to be covered in blood and Father to be disgusted in me like that? What happened? Why are you and I so much different? What we found out yesterday is making me question my very existence Yui. I'm starting to think that everything I know about myself isn't true. It's not real, just part of some big lie."

"It's not all a lie Chi. Father might not have wanted you back then but you read the dairy. He really does love you now and as for everything else it said...well he might have just put that because...I don't know you have famous parents or something."

"Yui if he meant that he would have put who she is but he said 'what' like I was some kind of animal. Like I wasn't human."

"Maybe your not...I mean were in a house of vampires right now..."

"Yui don't even say it."

"It might be possibly Chi."

"I think I would know if I was a vampire. I have never in my life looked at blood and though it was appealing."

"True but you've never been squeamish of it either. You even once said that you liked the sight of blood because of it's colour."

"Saying that I like the colour and wanting to drink it are very different Yui. I'm not a vampire I'm human."

"Then maybe your something else."

"Like what?"

"I don't know. If vampires are real then maybe werewolves are too. You senses always have been much sharper than anyone else's. You even got 20 20 vision every time at the opticians."

"I don't believe in werewolves."

"Well neither of us really believed Father when he told us all those vampire hunter stories. Until we came here that is."

"No, no it's not true. I'm one hundred percent human." Yui smiled at her sister.

"Okay."

"Come on we should get out of here before anyone turned up." Yui stood up and followed Chi out of the room. She looked at the back of her sister head, was she really one hundred percent human?..
