Our original plan talaga is mag half day since almost three to four hours ang byahe para by night bukas, andun na tayo.

Kaso mukhang wala ata kayong planong maghalf day sa mga trabaho nyo so, after office hours, let's say, 6pm tayo aalis bukas?

I smiled to myself when I know that Amanda has slowly accepted the things happening around her.

This doesn't mean na I am happy that her dad is sick. I am not. Of course.

It just wouldn't help to dwell on it when one can make ways to get treated and think of solutions to it.

The next day, work hours flew fast and soon enough, I was with them.  I arrived first in our meeting place. I also brought my gym bag which was screaming purple as I placed it on our table.

Amanda was looking great in her comfortable outfit: denim shorts and pink tee and her converse white shoes. Her hair is let loose in all its glory.

"Grabe, baks! Feel ko talaga this time, makikilala ko na si Mr. Right!" I squealed as I checked my face on my compact mirror.

"Puro ka kaharutan, bakla! Saglit lang at hahanap ako ng makakain otw dun." Amanda said and got up from her seat to buy foods while I waited for our friends.

Amanda bought mint, snickers, m&ms, piattos, clover and bottled water and placed them inside her portable eco-bag.

"Wow! Mukang may field trip ka ah!", Leni laughed and kissed our cheeks and sat down.

"Hello, beauties." Stuart Montgomery, Leni's British boyfriend, greeted in his perfect British accent.

"Ay, andito na ang biyaya ng Maykapal!" I checked him discretely,  exclaimed and made a noisy kiss on the cheeks of Stuart.

Leni immediately pulled Jessica away from her boyfriend as Olivia laughed.

"Chusera! Hindi ko lalapain jowa mo!" I shrieked and acted as if I was offended and fixed my hair.

"Hello, Stu." Olivia smiled.

"Asan na si jubis?" Leni asked and leaned on her elbow as Stuart sat beside her.  "Alas siyete na ah?"

"Baka na traffic lang. Wala naman syang sinabi sa GC na hindi sya sasama, dba?" Olivia asked looking at me.

"Witit! Check naten ang GC!" I said and opened my cp.

"Walang paramdam ang Olivia." Leni frowned, looking at her cellphone as well.

"Teka, tawagan ko." Amanda said, her worry started to show.

Amanda dialed Olivia's number and it rang. "Walang sumasagot, Baks." Kunot ang noong sinubukan ulit na tawagan ni Amanda.

She failed getting an answer from Olivia and asked me to call instead.

"Kakajirits si Oli!" I said as I waited for her to answer.

"Ano na kaya nangyare dun." Leni asked, biting her fingernails in worry.

"Quit doing that, hun." Stuart ordered and put down her hands. Leni followed and bit her lips instead. "Keep doing that and your lips will bleed." Leni stopped and looked at her friends for help. Both Amanda and me sighed and gazed out the window, hoping to see a rushing Olivia coming to them.

"Pag 7:30 wala pa ang bakla, iwanan na natin!" I remarked as we waited.

Amanda tried calling Olivia again and thanked the heavens when she answered.

"Baklaa! Asan ka na? Kumpleto na kame sa ministop." Amanda asked.

"Baks, malapit na ako. Nagkaproblema lang sa bahay. Be there in five minutes. Paliko na kami." Olivia said and dropped the call.
