I was engrossed in my monthly report when I noticed that I haven't seen Amanda today. I was hesitant to ask Leni so I did my usual routine until she asked me herself.

"Baks. Psst." Leni hissed at me and I met her gaze.

"Oh?" I pretended to be busy typing while she asked, "si Amanda? Absent?"

"I dunno. Hindi ka niya tinext?" I shrugged with a little femininity in my action.

"Tatanungin ba kita, baks, kung alam ko." She giggled and I managed a tight smile.

Day went by fast and soon, I found myself and Leni at the hospital where Amanda's father is being admitted to. He had his heart attack earlier and we rushed here to look after him as Olivia bring her here. It turned out that she was passed out earlier at the elevator.

I sighed when I heard the news. Amanda is indeed undergoing through a lot lately.

I tried to lighten up the mood and acted like my gay and jolly self. Her mom smiled and when I met her, my instincts tell me that Amanda is really my childhood friend. Her mom's good-natured smile brought me to our younger days at the orphanage.

Time came and I have to bid goodbye to them. It was Oli who stayed with her here at the hospital.

A week has passed and soon, I heard how Amanda have to work over time and even have to do tutoring classes with some of our officemates' kids just to earn more. She has bills to pay and being an only child, the pressure is on her.

I wanted to help but I am not yet ready to reveal my true self until I am sure of my next steps. Also, I don't want to risk everything knowing that I still am in the middle of finding justice to my parents' death.

In addition to that, I noticed that Park is interested in her. And, I can tell that she likes him too. I can tell with the way he looks at her and she to him.

Who am I to go between them?

At first, it pained me. But, lately, I have come to accept it slowly. Little by little.

I still have a lot on my plate. And I cannot afford to face it all at once.

"OMG, baks! Are you and Mr. Park dating?" I exclaimed as I munched on some snacks when I visited her here in her house.

"Tumigil ka nga dyan, bakla!" Amanda answered and slapped me with her pillow as I giggled at her reaction. Her cheeks are turning red and I knew she's just refraining from killing me with my teasing.

"Hayy, girl! Wouldn't it be romantic if you and him are a couple?" I heaved a sigh and she shook her head. "I mean, Mr. Park So Young and Amanda Catalin. O kaya, Mr. and Mrs. Park So Young. Yieee! Kilig yarn?"

"OA beks ha!" Amanda laughed and flopped on the bed beside me. "Asan na pala sila baks?"

"Ay oo nga! Nagrerequest pala ng video call sila jubis at krung krung!" I opened Amanda's laptop and saw her Facebook Account. "Haaay nako ka girl, talaga! Hindi mo pa pinapalitan DP mo, centuries old na ata itechiwa!"

"Leave my DP alone, baks." Amanda frowned at me.

"Tara nga, selfie nalang muna tayo,  baks!" I urged her and without her knowledge, used her cellphone for a selfie.

Surrendering to my friend's request, we posed for a few photos. In heat of the moment, I asked her to pose alone for a photo and she quickly obliged.

With her pink overalls and pajamas,  Amanda pouted and made a peace sign for a photo op.

I laughed and found out that Amanda's phone is in silent mode so I quickly opened her Facebook account to change her display picture. I quickly set the phone back on  Amanda's bedside table.

"Lika na baks! VC ko na sila bakla sa messenger mo ha." I wiggled her perfectly plucked eyebrows and immediately called their two friends.

Leni and Olivia answered within ten minutes and we quickly immersed in their conversations.

"So ayun nga, si boyfie ay dadalaw dito sa weekend. And he's actually inviting you three for his birthday party." Leni said habang nakadapa sa kanyang kama kaharap ang laptop niya.

"Oh, this weekend agad?" Olivia asked and yawned sleepily.

"Don't say no. I am not accepting no as an answer." I immediately shook my head.

"Bakit, ikaw ba ang jowa?" Amanda blurted out and binatukan naman siya ng kaibigan.

"Buuurn!" Leni laughed and got up to sit on her bed.

"Langya ka! Pag ako nagkajowa ng spokening dollar, who you kayo saken!" I grimaced and pouted.

"Muka kang suso, girl. Yuck." Olivia said and chuckled. "Nawawala ang antok ko sa inyo. Saan ba ang plano nyang boyfie mo? Dine out ba ule?"

Leni shook her head.

"Ano ka ba, my boyfie owns a resort in Batangas. We will be spending his birthday there and it will be for 2 days and one night!" Leni said excitedly.

I clapped my hands enthusiastically and Amanda could only groan dahil sa kakulitan ko.

"Very very good yan! Mahahanapan na natin ng jowa si jubis at si TH na Koreana! " I roared in laughter as I teased both of them.

"Boset ka, bakla! Quota ka na talaga saken ah! Kanina ka pa!" Amanda complained and slapped me on the arm.

"Ba't nadamay ako dyan?" Olivia asked, her eyes round and prying.

"Sino pa ba virgin saten dito?" Jessica asked and crossed her arms over her hard chest. "Kayong dalawa lang naman."

"Excuse me, I am preserving my virginity, fyi." Amanda said emphasizing the word preserving.

"Wala din yan pag nahulog ka na kay Mr. PSY." I giggled and hugged Amanda's pillow beside her. "Isusuko mo din yang bataan mo, girl!"

Amanda can't help but to slap my arm again.

"Boset ka talagaaaa!" Amanda whined and covered her face which was actually blushing since we started talking about him.

"What, what, what." Leni asked and raised an inquisitive eyebrow. "Ano meron sa inyo ni boss?"

"Wala nga yon. Forget about him." Amanda dismissed her question. "Oy, alas onse na. Baka malate na tayo bukas nito. Monday pa lang ngayon, remember."

"I am not letting you off the hook. You tell that to us on Friday night." Leni said in finality.

"Text us the deets for the party this weekend so we can make plans, Leni." Olivia said and yawned again. "Inaantok na talaga ako guys. I'm logging out na. See you soon. mwah!" We said our goodnights as well.

Olivia's screen was off and Leni also said her goodbye.

I logged out the Facebook account and turned off the laptop. Amanda removed the wrapper of cheese ring off the bed and the empty bottles of c2.

As Amanda was busy cleaning up, I dosed off to sleep.
