Eighteen
3rd Person's POV
Days flew by fast and Toni, rather Jessica, became busy with his dual role as a HR Junior Associate. Together with Leni, they were conducting departmental trainings for the newbies of each department.
And, with the upcoming General Assembly, the HR Team is even more occupied with organizing everything.
Park So Young, being the CEO, decided to keep things as it is. For the past years, he remained anonymous as he knows that certain people have some hidden agenda on him and moreso, with the company.
It was his brother, Park So Jin, who appears on his behalf. The latter doesn't mind and in fact, happy with the exposure he was given. Only very few people have seen and talked to him including Amanda and his secretary.
"Yung registration sheets, how are they? Who will be in-charge at the registration?" Jessica asked during their meeting, three weeks before the General Assembly.
"I'm taking care of it, Sir. I mean, Ma'am." Ramil, their HR Training Assistant, said and she nodded.
"How about the food? Have you contacted the catering services?" Rhealyn Villaluz, their HR Senior Associate, asked as she flipped through her checklist and browsed through her laptop which was projected on screen for everyone to see.
"They have confirmed already. And I have given the down-payment the other day." Tina Jabon, the HR Coordinator, commented and Rhealyn has jotted it down and typed it in.
"For the certificates of participation and recognition, both Amanda and Kristina are working on it, as well as the plaques, right, girls?" Jessica added and winked at them.
"Yes, Ma'am." Both ladies said in unison.
As they were discussing other stuff related to the assembly and upcoming events, snacks were served by the cafeteria personnel. In a span of an hour, they are finished and are headed out to their respective cubicles.
It was past five o' clock and everybody was excited to go home and rest.
"Mga baks, sabay na kayo. Mahirap na rin sumakay pauwi." Jessica offered Amanda and Leni a ride and both looked at each other before answering her.
"Sige. Kailangan ko na ring makauwi agad at may S si papa ngayon." Amanda giggled. Then she turned to Leni and asked, "ikaw, baks, hindi ka sasabay?"
Leni shook her head and smiled, "malapit lang ako rito. Go ahead. Baka matraffic pa kayo."
"Sure ka?" Jessica asked and Leni nodded. "Una na kami ha! Ingat ka pauwi! See you, tomorrow!" They waved at each other before Jess and Amanda went to her car at the parking lot.
---
Weekend came and it was time for Jessica to visit the Happy Smiles Orphanage as Toniboy, his normal and usual self.
Before visiting there, he stopped by at the supermarket and bought supplies for the kids and the nuns who manage the place.
He smiled as soon as he saw Sister Lucy, the Mother Superior and the one who manages it, waiting for him at the back gate.
It might seem weird but this nun wants to keep her identity private as one of the officers of the orphanage.
"Hijo! Kumusta ka na!" Sister Lucy grinned at him and helped him carry the plastic of supplies.
"Maraming salamat dito ha!"
"Walang anuman po, Sister." He said and they entered the place.
Kids instantly flocked around him as he was dearly loved by them.
Toniboy treasures the orphanage as this was where he spent most of his childhood. The nuns were kind to him and took him in.
He engaged in conversation with the kids as well as the nuns before leaving them.
Just in time after he sped off, Amanda came in and Sister Lucy welcomed her with a wide smile.
"Amay." She hugged her and said, "namiss ka namin, hija."
