Chapter Two
Today I woke up with so much excitement I could scream.
Today was the day my dad was taking me and my brother to the world cup, and I knew I would get to see my favorite quiditch team..the Bulgarians! I barely slept a wink the night before and was ready and packed the second my alarms went off at five AM. I knew Damian would probably be feeling the same, so I wasn't surprised that he was already dressed with a small bag slung over his shoulder when I walked into his room.
"You know I'm surprised mom hasn't killed you over this room yet." I said with a smirk as I crossed my arms and leaned on the frame to his door.
I had no idea how Damian found anything in his room, there were clothes strung in random places...a broken guitar in the corner with a pile of strings laying on top, like he meant to change the strings and got side tracked. And there was some random substance on his mirror, like a potion exploded. Quite honestly, it was frightening to walk in here, and our mom probably avoided it like the plague. Out of sight, out of mind.
"Like your's is any better little sister." He said grabbing a Bulgarian hat and tossing it onto his unruly hair.
I faked an insulted look "As if! I'm a lady." I swooned in a fake southern accent and flicked my hair over my shoulder.
He just laughed and steered me into the hallway. We both pounded on Aurora and Andi's doors as we passed them knowing it would get them mad, they just groaned and tossed something at the door causing us to crack up on the way down the stair case.
"Where's dad?" I asked looking around downstairs.
"Right here." My dad mumbled, slinging his arm around my shoulder.
He then put his other arm on Damian," Are you two ready?" He asked. We both muttered a response before our dad apperated us without a second glance.
When we landed I had to hunch over to catch my breath, I hadn't apperated in a long time and it was something I needed to get used to.
"Oh come on Ali." Damian scoffed as he slapped my back and walked forward with our dad. We apperated into what appeared to be a random field in the middle of nowhere, and I would have thought it was if I didn't see witches and wizards walking all around me, sporting a variety of quiditch gear and waving flags and banners.
"Where are we, Dad?" I called out as I ran to catch up to them.
"Just wait, we will be there soon!" He said staring straight ahead of where we were walking, and before I could ask another question, hundred upon hundreds of tents appeared before my eyes.
There were thousands of people wandering everywhere, and I could hear and see the excitement on everyone's faces. I could smell freshly cooked food in all directions, and some of it appeared to be from different countries. The game we were planning to see was Bulgaria versus Ireland, and all you could see was a sea of burgundy and green.
The tents were all abnormally small, but I knew they all had a charm on them to appear larger on the inside. When my dad and brother stopped walking we were in front of a tent with the name Soloria on a small sign attached to it. I followed them inside and gasped at the sheer size that was within. There were three large bedrooms cut off with deep red curtains, and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, that would not get used...seeing as how the three of us were hopeless in cooking. Thank God for my mother, we would al starve without her.
"Ok relax for a few until we need to head to the game, I need to see some people real quick." My dad said, he kissed the top of my head and ruffled Damian's hair before heading outside. I jumped onto one of the plush couches in the center of the room before Damian sat down on my stomach making me gasp for air.
"Ok fatty, there are other chairs." I groaned out and tried to push him off.
"I know, but you'r comfier." He laughed and wiggled himself even more. I sighed and gave up trying to move him and just closed my eyes. My lungs be damned.
"Do you want to go explore?" He asked as he started smacking me with his hat. I swear Damian was an overgrown child sometimes.
I ignored him at first until he kept hitting me harder and harder. I had enough and snatched the hat out of his hands and tossed it across the tent. "Fine!" I said laughing.

Damian and I made our way pretty far through the crowds, we grabbed a couple of cakes to snack on before we found ourselves completely lost in a swarm of crazed Irish fans. Damian grabbed my hand and tried to steer me a different direction but his attempts failed and we were separated, and I could no longer see him. I called his name out but my voice was muffled by the crazy Irishmen bouncing around... the game hasn't even started yet and already they are partying it up.
I groaned and ran a hand through my hair before deciding to find my way back towards our tent. My dad would freak out if he couldn't find us and the game was going to start. Somehow along the way I got tripped and fell forward, but not until someone caught me..
"Thanks," I said softly and looked up into a pair of soft emerald green eyes, that were almost hidden behind round glasses and raven messy hair. He was around my height and appeared to be the same age.
"Wow, what a catch" I heard another boy say, and two identical red headed boys appeared behind him. I saw the black haired boy blush and look towards the ground. It was then I noticed he still had an arm around my waist from where he caught me.
"I'm Fred, and this is George!" One of the twins said and pointed at his brother. "Since Harry here doesn't want to say anything to you." The other boy said laughing, and they both put a hand on his shoulders.
"I'm-" I started to say but was cut off when someone yanked me out of, I guess his name is Harry's grasp.
"Where the hell did you go?" Damian yelled at me. He wrapped me in a tight hug and I could feel the eyes from the other boys on the back of my head.
"I was worried. I thought the Irish killed you!" He said in a semi serious tone, causing the twins behind us to laugh.
"I'm fine Damian, I can handle myself" I grumbled. "Besides the Irish don't stand a chance against me."
"Well come on, the game is about to start and dad will flip if we aren't in the tent." He said grabbing my hand and pulling me along with him.
I turned to see the twins still laughing, one said something to Harry and he blushed again. "See you around." I said softly before following my brother.
Our dad thankfully wasn't at the tent when we got back, but showed up ten minutes later, and now we were finding our way through a labyrinth of staircases underneath some bleachers. Dad told me we had seats in the ministers box, and who knew you had to walk twenty miles into the earth to get there?
When we finally arrived, the place we were watching the game was pretty luxurious considering it was for a quiditch game. There were tables full of food off to the side, and plush royal purple chairs lined in front of the field. A couple house elves were walking around with trays, along with a couple of betting boxes. My father walked away and started rambling away to a short, plump balding man and another man with bright blond hair down to his waist.
Damian and I looked out of place, we both had on Bulgarian hats and shirts on, while everyone in the room was wearing expensive looking suits. Damian must have read my mind, because he turned us around and started grabbing random food off of the tables, both of us keeping our backs to the men in suits.
I heard a cough behind me and turned around just as I popped a grape into my mouth. A young boy around my age was standing in front of me with a smirk plastered on his face, his hair was too similar to the man that was talking with my father.
"Save some for me." He said with a wink and reached behind me and grabbed something off the table, I didn't know what it was as I was busy inhaling the strong scent of his cologne that was lingering on his suit.
"Uh, h-h-hi" I stuttered as he slowly bit into a strawberry, his grey eyes were intimidating as they bore into my green ones. He just smirked before walking away and joining the other man with the long blond hair.
"Who was that?" Damian asked with half a sandwich stuffed in his mouth. That would have sounded like a bunch of mumbling to anyone but me, as I was used to Damian's food speech.
"I don't know." I mumbled as I took off my hat and smoothed out my wavy hair.
"And these are my children, Minister!" I heard my dads voice say, his American accent stuck out against all of these Brits. He was motioning to me and my brother, who was still eating. My dad, followed by the plump man and the two blondes were now staring at the two of us.
"This is my son, Damian." He said motioning to my brother who tried to quickly swallow his food and stuck his hand out to the minister.
"Hello son! I'm the minister of magic, Cornelius Fudge!" He said and firmly shook Damians hand, Damian smiled and nodded but I knew he wanted to laugh at the ministers name.
"And this is my lovely daughter, Alisanna." My dad said as they all moved their eyes to me, I blushed. I hated having all eyes on me, unless I was playing quiditch.
"My, my you are very beautiful indeed—nice to meet you, dear." The minister said and shook my hand. I smiled and gave a small wave. I wasn't interested in getting to know the American minister. I sure as hell wasn't interested in the British one either.
"Damian will be in fifth year at Hogwarts this year, and Ali Will be in her fourth." My dad told the minister. They started talking about something ministry related, but I couldn't help but notice the looks I was getting from the handsome blond boy.
Soon enough the adults had moved on and were in their own little world. Leaving me ,my brother, and the blond boy to ourselves.
"So are you going to introduce yourself or....what?" Damian grumbled crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow at the boy who was just staring at us.
"Draco Malfoy." The boy said and shook Damian's hand.
"You play quiditch?" Damian asked still shaking his hand. "Of course" Draco said with a smirk. Damian returned it and they dropped their hands, and soon enough I could tell the pair of them would become friends. Damian made friends the easiest out of all of us, there was this likable energy to him that was hard to not want to get to know him.
I just laughed as they started rambling off about some nonsense, and decided to leave them be. I turned as I saw them laughing together over something and I took in the fresh breeze that was flowing in from the quiditch field. The minister gave a small speech and set the game under way, and then joined the adults in the back of the room. I don't think any of them honestly cared about the game, as work seemed to follow them wherever they went.
Draco and Damian soon joined me out on the balcony to watch the game. But I completely ignored them as I was cheering so loudly when the Bulgarian team flew out, I knew I wouldn't hear them if they tried talking to me anyway.
"GO KRUM!" Me and Damian shouted together and then Draco laughed and covered his ears.
"You like quiditch huh?" Draco asked.Or rather yelled at me when the Irish came out.
"I don't like it...I LOVE it!" I yelled back and continued clapping my hands.
"I like your accent." He said when the game quieted down for a second. I turned to him and gave him a confused look, he just smirked.
"It's cute". And he made me blush and tuck my hair behind my ear, making him laugh.
"Hey dude, that's my sister." Damian said elbowing him in the arm, but his eyes were completely fixated on the game.
The game ended soon enough, sadly the Bulgarian's lost —but Damian and I cheered so loudly our voices were almost gone. During breaks, him and Draco got pretty close and they had quiet a few things in common.
"See you at school, Ali." Draco whispered and started walking away with his father when we exited the quiditch stadium.
"Ok kids, lets get back to the tent." My dad said as he motioned us ahead of him.
The excitement outside was even worse than when we first showed up and everyone dressed in green was cheering with so much excitement it almost hurt your ears. But as we were walking, the cheers of excitement were drowned out by screams of terror.
When I turned to find my dad and brother, I was shoved by someone and got separated from them once again and I still had no idea what was going on. But I soon found out, when I saw masked figures with cloaks above their heads start walking in my direction. I screamed and turned to run in the opposite direction. I tripped over a couple of people who were running in fear, and tried looking every direction for my dad and brother.
I kept running in the opposite direction of the cloaked figures until again I tripped and landed on someone—Harry.
