Chapter Twenty-Three

I rolled over in my bed and winced at the blinding light pouring in through my window. I was not a happy camper this morning, just like all the days before. Draco had been here for the past week, and none of us were exactly happy about it. He was acting polite and cordial around my parents, and then when it was just all us kids, he would turn into that ferret we all knew so well. Only being away from school for a week I was missing it like crazy. Sure I wasn't missing homework and studying, but I was missing my friends terribly.

I rolled over in my bed and grabbed some paper and a pen to write a couple letters to them.

Hermione,

I miss you! I hope your summer is going great! You'll never believe who we have staying in my house right now. Draco freaking Malfoy..I'm hating life right now! He's being a complete ferret like normal, but my brother has put him in his place plenty of times already. I just hope his parents come home early and we don't have to put up with him anymore! Maybe we can meet up with Harry and Ron one day? I miss everyone!

Love you Mione!,

Ali.

Ronnikins!,

Ronald Weasley! I miss you! Can your parents adopt me?? Malfoy is staying in my freaking house and I need to run away! Please tell me I can come stay with yall! Ill even bring my sisters, since they wont shut up about Gred and Forge, I cant believe my twins and your twins are dating haha. But seriously please come rescue me like you rescued Harry those years ago...pleaaaasseeee! I'll love you forever!

Ali.

Harry,

So It's probably a long shot since your aunt and uncle are super crazy and treat you like a dog, but I miss you terribly and I want to see you! Do you think you can sneak away? I don't live far from Surrey, I can take a train to see you! I really miss you Harry, and something is telling me something bad is about to happen. After everything that happened with Voldemort a few months ago, I feel like someone is always watching me. And now Malfoy is staying with my family and I feel even worse. I need you Harry, Please write me back.

Ali.

"Ali, Breakfast!" I heard my mother call from the top of the staircase, since I left my door open last night. "Ok mom!" I shouted back at her and rolled out of bed with my letters in my hand. I sent Harry's letter off first with Olive, and would have to mail the others when she got back seeing as the three of them lived in different directions. Hermione lived in the western part of London, while we lived in the east. Harry was about thirty minutes away in Surrey, and Ron almost lived in Scotland by how far north he lived. Olive hooted at me before flying off into the sky.

I quickly changed out of my pajamas and into some denim shorts and a Gryffindor tank top, before shutting my bedroom door and heading downstairs. "Hey daddy" I said passing my father's office. He was sifting through some papers in his desk, while a large book was levitating by his head. He looked up at me and smiled brightly. "Hey champ, anything planned for the day?" He asked, sending the book back onto his large bookshelf that lined the wall. I shook my head and crossed my hands across my chest, leaning against the door frame.

"I'm sure you guys will find something, I unfortunately am off to work" He said grabbing his briefcase and walking over to me. "Your'e always working" I said giving him a sad smile. Ever since my father got this job, and everything that happened this past year he had been working a lot more than normal. "I know baby, but sadly I don't think it's going to slow down for a while" He told me before kissing my forehead and walking past me. I sighed and closed his office door, not wanting Draco to wander in here.

My mother was meeting some other pureblooded witches for brunch this morning, so it left te five of us on our own for the majority of the day. Draco was sitting in my mother's chair in our dining room, while the rest of us took out normal chairs only scooting far away from him. My mother had at least prepared a breakfast for an army before she left, complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes and numerous fruits. I filled my plate with bacon and eggs, before plopping a waffle on top and downing it all in hot syrup. For some reason I was starving this morning, and was shoveling the food into my mouth.

"Ew Ali, your eating like Damian" Andi said laughing as she sipped her coffee while reading the daily prophet. I shrugged and looked over to Damian who also was eating a pile of eggs with syrup. Damian looked over to me and we both started laughing. Aurora and Andi quickly started laughing as well, while Draco sat at the end grumbling to himself. "You two are disgusting" Draco said looking at Damian and I. I glared at him before looking down at his coffee cup and sending the hot liquid into his lap. Draco jumped up in surprise and glared at me before grabbing a towel to wipe himself.

"I love these new powers" I said with a shrug as i watched Draco clean himself. "So Ali, down for some quiditch?" Damian asked as he finished his breakfast. My eyes went wide with excitement at the thought of finally getting on a broom again. "Hell yeah!" I said eagerly.

"You two are probably awful" Draco sneered from the end of the table, biting into a piece of bacon. The four of us snapped our heads over to him before we all looked at each other in mutual understanding. "Wanna put your money where your mouth is Malfoy?" Damian asked him with a raised eyebrow. Draco scoffed "Please, you don't stand a chance" He said waving a hand. My sisters, Damian and I all stood at once. "Brooms are in the shed out back, be ready in ten" I told him before running upstairs to grab my own broom, boy was I looking forward to beating his ass into the ground.

With my firebolt in my hand I looked over at my brother beside me who was leaning against his own broom. Since there was an odd number of us, Draco and I would play chasers against each other, while Aurora and Andi would be the keepers. Leaving Damian to play beater for everyone. Aurora and Andi weren't die hard quiditch players like Damian and I, but they can keep up pretty good. They were both currently hovering at either end of our quiditch field.

"Alright, first one to fifty points wins" Damian said before nodding at Draco and I to get on our brooms. Draco flew up with ease on a spare firebolt that was in the shed, before I followed right behind him. We stared at each other before we heard Damian shout at us to go and he tossed the quaffle and a bludger up into the air. I caught the quaffle first and flew away from Draco, avoiding the bludger that had flew past my head. Draco flew beside me and tried to nudge the ball out of my hands, I just rolled my broom and flew under him for a moment before tossing the quaffle in the right ring, making ten points. Aurora retrieved the ball and tossed it to Draco since they were teammates.

Draco was flying ahead of me, so I flew a little higher where he couldn't see me right above his head. He was concentrating on the goal posts that Andi was guarding, ignorant of where I was, you could tell he played seeker as he was only focusing on himself. When your a chaser, you have to be coherent of everything going around you. That's why when I flew forward and into Draco's line of flight, he screamed and dropped the ball. I laughed and dove down quickly and retrieved it, flying about a foot from the ground until I reached the goal posts and threw my shot. Aurora blocked it before throwing it to Draco who was flying on the left flank. She smiled at me as I shook my head.

Us Soloria's were anything but poor sports, so Aurora was actually playing her hardest as Draco's keeper even though she hated him. About thirty minutes into the game Draco and I were tied with both forty points each. We were both sweating and panting profusely under the hot sun. Both of our bright blonde hair was in disarray on our heads, some of mine was stuck to my forehead. We both were currently hovering in the center of the field waiting for Damian to return, he was about to pee on himself.

"Wanna make a bet?" Draco asked me, wiping some sweat from his face. I looked up and raised an eyebrow at him. "Like what?" I asked him, wondering what he possibly wanted. "You win, Ill leave and go stay elsewhere, quite frankly I'm tired of being in a house where people hate me" He said shrugging, gripping his broom a little tighter. "Should be used to it Malfoy, most of Hogwarts hates you" I told him.

Draco smirked at me before answering "But I win, and you have to forgive me for what I did, no more calling me ferret. despite you being a Gryffindor I do like you. And quite frankly you sort of scare me" he said looking away from me. I couldn't believe Draco Malfoy was afraid of little ole me.

"Fine, your'e on" I said letting go of my broom to hold a hand out to him. He smirked before gripping my tiny hand tightly in his. We nodded to each other before grabbing our brooms again seeing my brother had finally came back. "Alright, lets finish this" Damian shouted as he tossed up the quaffle and we finished out game....

Draco lost, although I think he lost on purpose just because he didnt want to stay here anymore. I pretty much stole the quaffle from him and did an inverted dive around him to score my own goal. Surprisingly for me he wasnt a sore loser about it. "Nice game" Draco said looking at me and Damian. The girls were chatting up on their brooms still. Damian looked confused before shrugging and walking back into the house, probably to find food.  "Ill go pack, Ill be gone by dinner" Draco said nodding to me and heading into the house behind my brother.

Draco was weird, I certainly did not understand him or anything about him for that matter. I know one thing though, I was sure as hell glad he was leaving.
