Chapter Three
It was chaos...pure chaos. People screaming and tripping over each other, children crying and trying to find their parents, and the cloaked figures shooting spells at random people and flipping anything in their path. But when I tripped, I expected to hit my head hard on the ground, however I landed on something soft and alive. I was staring into the eyes of the young boy who caught me earlier, who I remembered to be named Harry.
"Are you alright?" I asked frantically as I dodged a spell that whizzed past my head. I forgot my wand at home, so there was no way I could protect myself right now.
"I'm fine!" he yelled over the chaos, and pulled me to my feet.
"What the hell is going on?" I yelled as I tried getting a glimpse of a familiar face.
"I don't know, but we need to move" He said and grabbed my hand, dragging me down a dirt path. Soon enough we were full on sprinting, and I'll admit he was pretty fast. We kept getting forcefully shoved into, but Harry never once let go of my hand if anything he held onto me tighter.
We ducked behind an over turned food cart, and were virtually invisible to the people around us. We were both panting heavily, and I felt myself crying out of worry for my father and brother. "Are you ok?" He asked with a worried expression and reached out and wiped one of my tears away. I shook my head and hugged my knees, listening to the sound of footsteps and explosions that sounded around us.
"My dad and brother our out here somewhere," I said motioning to the world outside.
"I'm sure they're ok, I think those people are looking for something." Harry told me and wiped some dirt off of his jacket. I took a deep breath trying to calm myself.
"I'm Alisanna, by the way." I told him with a small smile. He returned the smile and fiddled with his wand.
"Harry Potter." He responded.
"Nice to meet you, Harry. Too bad it wasn't under better circumstances." I said with a slight chuckle.
"Well technically we met earlier, you just never told me your name." He said looking down the ground, I could tell he was pretty shy. I felt my eyes grow heavy for some reason and I laid my head on Harry's shoulder. His body stiffened for a second, but after a few moments I felt him relax.
"Do you go to Hogwarts?" I asked softly.
"Yeah, I'll be a fourth year." He responded, and I smiled knowing I would now know two people going into Hogwarts as Draco told me he went there as well.
"Me to." I whispered. I don't know why I suddenly felt so quiet around this boy, I'm normally a chatter box. Maybe it was the craziness going on outside, or something else but I felt nervous around him.
"It's gotten quiet out there." Harry whispered causing me to poke my head outside, and sure enough the remnants of the attack was the only thing that lingered.
We quietly made our way into the open field that now housed ripped and burnt tents, and a couple of unconscious bodies laying around. I held my breath as we slowly walked, hoping my hardest that I wouldn't find my Dad or brother laying among them.
Today was definitely not my day for walking and staying on my feet, because I tripped once again. Harry somehow was able to catch me again, and awkwardly patted me on the shoulder. I smiled at him and my gaze went from his pretty green eyes to a creepy mark shaped like a skull that was shot into the sky.
"Harry, what is that?" I asked and pointed into the air with my free hand.
Harry never got the chance to respond as we heard several voices start shouting and soon enough we had four spells being shot at our heads. Harry pulled us down just in time as I felt one of them graze the top of my hair.
"STOP!" I heard a familiar voice shout.
"DAD!" I screamed and ran out of Harry's grasp and into my fathers arms, as best I could seeing as he was still in a defensive position with his wand. He hugged me back tightly and stroked my hair while continuously kissing my head.
"I'm okay." I said softly and just enjoyed having him safe.
" Which one of you conjured it?" Someone shouted and I looked around my dad to see a short bearded man pointing his wand between Harry and myself.
"My daughter did no such thing!" My father growled and pointed his wand at the man.
His arms loosed around me and he walked closer to him. I saw that Harry was now accompanied by a boy with red hair and a taller pretty girl with brown curls tossed haphazardly on her head.
He was smiling as the girl tackled him into a tight hug. Well shes a lucky girl to have a boyfriend as nice as Harry. I sighed and turned around and was lifted off of the ground.
I laughed as I realized it was my brother who had picked me up.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again!" he yelled into my ear.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't find you." I apologized wrapping my arms around his neck.
"That's ok, as long as you're safe." Damian said and gently placed be back on the ground and wrapped a protective arm around my waist.
"Barty, they're just kids!" I heard another man who had appeared, with flaming red hair that matched Harry's friend. I rested my head on Damian's shoulder and closed my eyes, feeling the weight of what had just happened hit me at once. I heard the adults talking about something but I just tuned them out as I felt myself drift into oblivion.
"Ali!" I heard and someone was shaking my shoulders. I blinked several times before looking into the dark brown eyes of my father. Somehow I had managed to fall asleep standing up with my head on Damian's shoulder.
"We need to leave sweetie." My dad said softly. I nodded and rubbed my eyes, and it was then I noticed everyone else had disappeared, and sadly I never got to thank Harry for saving me.
My father linked arms with both Damian and myself and soon enough we landed inside of our living room. I was of course greeted by an insanely worried mother, who wouldn't stop hugging me. She kept rambling on about how worried she was, and soon my cheek was sopping wet by how many times she kissed it.
"I'm fine mom" I groaned and pulled away from her.
"You have another child over here mother!" my brother said in a joking manner, and then my mom threw herself onto him giving me the chance to walk away.
But I never got far as my sisters appeared out of the kitchen and tackled me to the floor. "Ugh if I fall down one more time today." I said lazily as Aurora ruffled my hair and Andi started tickling me.
"Girls, get off of the ground and go to bed! We have to shop for your school supplies tomorrow!" our mom said as she motioned for us to go to our rooms. She then wandered to some random place in the house for the night, sometimes I wondered where the heck she spent her time.
"You ok, Ali?" Andi asked as she put an arm around my shoulders.
"Yeah the prophet said those were death eaters at the cup tonight." Aurora said with a worried glance as she walked ahead of us. I felt a horrible feeling in my stomach, I knew when we moved here there were a lot of dark wizards...but that one certain dark wizard I thought was dead for good, if his followers were out in the public eye tonight....then that wasn't good at all.
"I'm fine guys, i just wanna sleep." I yawned. They both smiled before bidding me goodnight and heading into their rooms. They had their own rooms but shared a connecting bathroom, which was a horrible thing when they were trying to both get ready at the same time. Aurora ended up using my bathroom most of the time. I laughed when I passed by the external door to the bathroom as they were already fighting over the shower. And none of us dared to use Damian's bathroom...for obvious reasons.
The second I walked into my bedroom I fell backwards onto my bed. I loved my bedroom, I felt it reflected my personality almost perfectly. I had two large bookshelves on either side of my window that held a small bench with a lime green cushion. I was the only one out of all us kids that actually cleaned their room, so my bed was made perfectly and there wasn't random junk lying around like my brothers. I loved the hanging lights that were wrapped around the iron headboard to my bed and gave off such a comforting light. My snowy owl, Olive was perched on a post in the corner of the room watching me with her head tilted to the side. And my favorite thing in the world, my firebolt was sitting neatly beside her.
I quickly changed into my quiditch shirt from my old school and some plaid pajama pants before crawling under my white down comforter. I was asleep almost immediately, but it was definitely not the peaceful sleep I had been hoping for.
All night long I tossed and turned...I kept having dreams of a pale white man with strange facial features that was trying to torture me....this man, whoever he was....he wanted me for something. He kept saying I had something that he wanted, and even though I had never seen this man before in my life...I felt like even though it was a dream, That wouldn't be the last time I would see him....
