"He's waking up!"

Kongpob felt as if his whole being was crushed under a huge rock as he tried to regain his senses back.

He groaned as he opened his eyes slowly. His hand flew up to his head as he clutched it, feeling his surroundings rotate. He blinked his eyes a few times as he adjusted his sight with the light in the room.

Just by the smell, he could understand that he was in the hospital.

"Relax Kong, no need to hurry. Relax and open your eyes." Kongpob heard a familiar voice beside him.

He hummed softly, his throat dry as he tried to speak. His features were consumed with a sense of confusion as he tried to remember why he was in the hospital.

His breath became uneasy as the flashes of what had happened to him rushed into his mind. His eyes shot open, his breathing heavy. He looked around and tried to get up only for a pair of hands to push him down to lay back.

"Kong, baby, don't stress out."

Kongpob's eyes filled with tears when he heard the voice beside him. He looked at his side and found the worried gaze of his husband. Soon sobs escaped his lips and he was engulfed in the arms of his alpha. The Alpha's scent calming him and assuring him that everything will be fine.

"You're tired baby, please don't cry. Shh..." Arthit whispered white noises into Kongpob's ears.

After making sure that the younger was calm, Arthit made eye contact with Priya who watched the couple. She nodded as she moved forward and pressed a button on the bed making the head of the bed rise.

Arthit placed a pillow behind Kongpob before leaving the embrace. Arthit watched Kongpob lean against the bed, his eyes not leaving Arthit's.

"P-P'Arthit, our-our baby," Kongpob felt his voice cracking. His throat was dry but he cared less about it at the moment.

Arthit sighed, he placed his hand on Kongpob's and caressed it.

"Our baby is fine, Kong. Baby is fine." Arthit watched a sigh leave Kongpob's lips, a small smile on his face as he closed his eyes. Tears started to fall from his eyes.

Priya walked towards Kongpob and caressed his forehead, "The baby barely held in when you came here. A single beat missed, I don't know what might have happened. Your condition was not helping either."

Kongpob but his lips as he heard Priya speak, his hold on Arthit's hand tightened.

"You were bleeding severely, the baby is really strong Kong. It held onto you tight." Priya smiled when she saw Kongpob's lips curve up.

"Since you've woken up we'll have your tests taken and we'll have an ultrasound to make sure the little one inside is fine."

"You might experience pain for a few days. If you feel anything unbearable, please tell me Kong. If the pain exceeds 7 in your own pain indicator call me immediately. You'll have to stay here for a few weeks until you're better."

"I'll give you both some time for now." Priya smiled politely at them before she left the room leaving the couple alone.

Kongpob opened his eyes when he felt a water drop touch his hands.

"P'Arthit," Kongpob's voice shook as he saw his husband's eyes fill with tears.

"You were in and out for two days Kong, I was soo worried." Arthit sniffled as he handed a glass of water to him.

He remembered how he had spent the last two days with Kongpob in the bed, lying pale and weak. Arthit's uncle and aunt came from Vietnam and he cried in the arms of his aunt Lin who was like a mother to him. He felt so scared. When Kongpob was taken to the hospital Priya had told him to not keep his expectations high.

Mia and Jake also came and they couldn't help but cry seeing Arthit soo weak. They never saw the alpha in such a distressing situation. They couldn't take the site of their own son who was on the end with so many wires connected in his body.

Kongpob was in and out of consciousness for the past two days. Arthit heard Kongpob call out his name in his sleep and it made him feel more miserable. He felt the urge to kill Simon's whole family with his rage but he held it in. At least John was out of the picture now. If anyone of that family again troubles his family he'll make sure the whole generation of the Ruwats will be wiped off.

"I-I thought, I'll lose Simba." Kongpob caressed his stomach.

Since Kongpob announced that he was pregnant, April had already named the little one inside irrespective of its gender. Kongpob and Arthit had asked why she named him/her Simba and she said she just felt like it.

"Simba held tight to you, Kong. I was worried too, seeing you bleed in front of my eyes. I-I-I felt... helpless." Arthit bites his lips.

Kongpob leaned his body against the pillow as he closed his eyes. He felt soo tired and there was this piercing pain in his abdomen that was making him uncomfortable.

"I feel soo tired P'Arthit," Kongpob sighed.

Arthit stood up and slowly returned the bed to its original position before he helped Kongpob to lay down comfortably.

"Where is April?" Kongpob asked in his low voice, he felt soo weak and tired.

"She'll come, she's with Laya at home. Remember? Her classes will start soon." Arthit caressed Kongpob's hair.

"Hmm... she has grown so fast." Kongpob leaned into Arthit's touch, his eyes closed.

Arthit didn't say anything, he only smiled as he watched Kongpob intertwine their fingers and trying to relax. He could see the latter was in pain. Priya had told him that it'll take some time for him to come back into good health. They had to take care of Kongpob well this time, any mistake and there might be more complications.

"Take rest, I'll be with you." Arthit caressed Kongpob's hair and kissed his forehead making the younger purr in satisfaction.

Arthit bites his lips as he remembered how Priya had explained Kongpob's condition to him. His heart clutched at the thought. He made a promise to himself that he'll be with Kong and help him through this.

When Kong opened his eyes he saw his mom and dad in the room talking to Arthit.

Kongpob coughed as he felt his throat dry catching the attention of the three. Arthit soon rushed towards Kongpob and gave him a glass of water.

"Thank you," Kongpob said after he took a sip from the glass.

Arthit helped Kongpob to sit and he kissed his forehead before he made room for Mia and Jake.

"Mom," Kongpob sniffled as he was engulfed in the arms of his mother.

"Aw my baby," Mia engulfed her son, she could feel his body shaking in her arms and it only made her shed tears. She tried soo hard to control her tears when she saw Kongpob lying on the bed. He looked soo pale, and with swollen eye bags, his lips were dry and white.

"Shh....it's okay, everything is okay." Ria rocked Kongpob in her arms as she caressed his hair.

"I was soo scared," Kongpob whispered as he pulled away, his eyes cast down as he but his lips from crying.

He cannot imagine how afraid he was. The pain that rushed inside him after John kicked him, that was unbearable. He felt as if he will lose the little being inside him.

Mia caressed her son's cheeks and as she gazed at him lovingly. She knows how it might have felt for him. Before Kong was born she had conceived and during the first stage, she fell from the stairs and lost the baby. She was devastated, for one year she was like a walking corpse and then she got the news that she was conceiving again and the next thing she knew is that she gave birth to a beautiful little boy who's now in front of her.

"It's okay, my baby. Everything is fine now. We're with you in this and we'll be careful in the future. Now don't stress out, we don't want the little one to have difficulty, do we?" Mia smiled as she saw a small smile form on her son's face.

Jake smiled and caressed his son's hair as he stood there silently. He didn't know what to say, he was soo worried when he knew that Kong was hospitalized and his and baby' heath was critical. He didn't want a repeat of the incident that happened to him and his wife. He doesn't know if he has the strength to see his son experience what he had gone through.

"We bought food for you, let's eat na." Mia smiled at him.

Kongpob nodded his head. He looked up at Arthit and saw him placing dishes on a tray as he walked towards him. Arthit gave him an assuring smile as he placed the tray on Kongpob's lap.

Arthit watched Mia take a bowl of soup when Kongpob told her that he could eat it himself. He chuckled as Mia scolding him before she started feeding him.

Caressed Kongpob's hair as he watched him eating. Kongpob looked up at him and smiled as he swallowed the soup.

Arthit missed seeing those eyes gaze at him with so much love, he felt like an eternity seeing Kongpob sit like this in front of him. Those smiles, those eyes, those loving stares, his small touches, and stolen kisses. He missed everything, every bit of him.

When Kongpob had woken up in between his sleep, he had been constantly asking about April and Arthit had to make up excuses on behalf of April even though some of them were true.

When he Bright told him that he had to go to the hospital April said she would handle it there and Arthit had to go. Arthit let Prem and Bright take care of April in case anything goes wrong.

After Arthit made Kongpob sleep back he called April that tole that Kongpob had woken up but April refused to see her mom saying Kongpob will find that she might be hiding something. The next thing Arthit knew was John was thrown in the sea to feed the fishes there.

April knows that if she visits Kongpob after dealing with John he would sense something fishy around her. She knew her mom very well. Kongpob always has a way to find things out. Especially with his strong sense of smell Kong would easily identify the smell of blood in her. She had especially taken care of Arthit's scent before she let him leave to meet Arthit.

Arthit could only sigh. Now that John had been removed, he had to take care that no one finds John and the Ruwats wouldn't bother his family again. He didn't want things to repeat and to tell the truth, he is getting tired of all these dramas involving his mate in it.

I can assure you that there would be no more heavy drama.
Few more chapters of Kong's pregnancy journey and we'll have a special chapter and then we are done with this book.

P.S. who all cried watching the Sotus Reunion? Just seeing the clips in Twitter and Insta I could feel myself getting overwhelmed! Seeing them cry in the end made me emotional too!!!
