CHAPTER 11

Arthit caressed April's hair who was lying on his lap. He had come to see his daughter at the hospital after Kongpob had called him, crying over the phone about what happened. Just the thought of it brought rage in him.

April had cried in his arms mumbling thousand sorry to him even though he told her that it was okay. Her energy drained out after crying that she slept in his arms.

Arthit stared towards Kongpob who was taking tea for him which the younger had brought in a flask. He watched as Kongpob stir the tea and then walk towards him.

Kongpob looked at Arthit and asked him to move. Arthit nodded his head understanding as he slowly slipped out from the bed, keeping a pillow under April's head he walked towards the mini sofa in the room.

Kongpob handed Arthit his tea and sat beside him. They hadn't talked ever since Arthit came into the room. Kongpob had watched as April cry over her dad's shoulder and it made him both happy and sad. Happy that her dad was here now and sad that she had to go through all of this without her own mom not beside him.

"I'm sorry P."

Arthit was shocked when he heard Kongpob's words. He looked at Kongpob and saw that the latter had tears in his eyes.

Arthit placed the teacup on the table before he took Kongpob's hand in his and caressed it, giving it a small squeeze.

"Kong, please stop saying sorry to me. If anything, I should be the one who should be saying sorry to you," Arthit gave a shy smile.

"Instead of trying to confront you I tried to be away from you the past three weeks. I'm sorry about that. And please don't blame yourself Kong," Arthit stretched his hand forward, placing it on Kongpob's cheek he rubbed his thumb over the soft skin.

Kongpob sobbed, tears falling free from his eyes.

"I couldn't protect our daughter, P'Arthit. I couldn't protect her. I'm the worst mother. I...I failed her, P."

Arthit pulled Kongpob into a hug. He wrapped his arms around the latter protectively as he let him cry on his shoulder.

"No you didn't. You're not a bad mom Kong. You tried to give her a normal life and you didn't have any clue that Simon was doing things like this. Don't blame yourself, Kong."

Arthit slowly pushed Kongpob from the hug and cupped his face. He wiped the tears from Kongpob's eyes as the younger tried to calm himself.

"I love you, Kong."

Kongpob shivered.

"Don't hurt yourself like this, Kong. You've suffered too much. Now, you're here with me right? You know what is the truth so stop blaming yourself. I love you so much, Kong that I don't want to hurt you anymore."

The alpha's intimate voice send shivers down Kongpob's body. Those three words that he had always heard were full of fakeness or filled with psychic emotions, but this, those three words coming from Arthit's mouth made him feel like he's the most precious thing in the world and that true love really do exist.

"I...I love you too, P'Arthit," Kongpob gave a smile for the first time over past three weeks to Arthit.

Arthit's eyes widened. He didn't except Kongpob to say those words to him, after all not soo soon.

Arthit smiles widely, showing his dimples making Kongpob smile wider. Arthit pressed a kiss on Kongpob's forehead, full of love and respect.

The two stared at each other. Eyes filled with love and happiness. They couldn't stop giving smiles to each other.

Suddenly Arthit's phone rang breaking the mates' thoughts.

Arthit answered the phone.

"Yes, Bright?"

Kongpob watched as Arthit steal glances at him.

"I'll be there, Bright. Thanks," Arthit hang up the call and sighed. He looked at April who was sleeping peacefully and then at Kongpob.

"Kong, we have to go somewhere," Arthit said.

Kongpob looked at his mate confused, "What is it P?"

Arthit shook his head, "You've to come with me. I've to show you something."

"But April..." Arthit cut off Kongpob.

"Don't worry, Bright is on his way here. He's my best friend. He'll keep an eye on her," Arthit gave an assured smile.

Kongpob nodded his head, "But what is P'Simon comes?"

Arthit grunted his teeth, "He'll not come. Just come with me Kong."

Kongpob looked at April before he nodded his head and followed Arthit outside.

On their way towards Arthit's car they met Bright and Tootah who had just come out of their car.

"Arthit, hurry up. Pream is there at the mall, maybe you won't be able to catch them," Tootah said.

"Catch who?" Kongpob asked confused.

Bright opened his mouth but soon closed it when he saw Arthit glaring at him.

"You'll find it soon Kongpob," Tootah gave a sly smile.

"You know me?" Kongpob asked surprised.

Bright and Tootah chuckled.

"We won't forget our best friend's mate and you were quite famous at University too. How could your seniors forget you?" Bright gave a teasing smile making Kongpob blush.

"Okay guys, we're leaving," Arthit excused.

"Keep an eye on April na P," Kongpob bowed at the elders.

"With pleasure, Kong!" Tootah and Bright saluted making Kongpob chuckle.

Kongpob just let Arthit drag him inside the busy mall. He still couldn't understand why he was there and why his mate's friends have been calling Arthit minute by minute to reach fast god knows where.

"There!" Arthit exclaimed as he pulled Kongpob and rushed inside a busy cafe inside the mall.

Kongpob found Prem standing at a corner throwing daggers in a particular direction. Before he could check what it was Arthit pulled him closer to the elder as if Arthit was trying to hide him.

"Prem, they still there?" Arthit asked as soon as they stood in front of Prem who rolled his eyes before pointing at a particular direction.

Kongpob's eyes following the sight, his eyes widened. He saw Simon sitting beside a lady with his hands over her shoulder. They were sitting too close and Kongpob could see Simon was kissing the lady on her neck. A wide smile on Simon's face as he and the lady laughed at something.

"Wanna hear what they're talking?" Arthit asked as he pointed at the empty table behind Simon.

Kongpob exchanged a look between Prem and Arthit before nodded his head.

Soon the trio took their seat behind Simon's table. Since the cafe had separation walls between each table it was easy for the trio to eavesdrop.

"Are you coming to my house? It's been weeks since you came," Kongpob clutched his palm onto the table as he heard the lady say.

"If you want I'll surely come baby," Simon said in a seductive tone.

"So, what about your husband?"

Kongpob's ears perched up at the question.

"Don't bother about him. I've told him that I've got a meeting abroad. This is not my first time lying to him, so it's fine," Simon said nonchalantly.

Kongpob could feel his eyes whelming up with tears realizing all this while when the latter was going on trips Simon was cheating behind him. He couldn't handle it when he heard the two of them laughing.

"Why don't you divorce him if you're cheating him from the beginning, Simon?" The lady asked.

"No I can't. He's only mine. And he's my obsession, I won't leave him for anything. Even if I'm cheating on him doesn't mean I don't like him. He's my possession."

Kongpob felt disgusted at Simon's words. He looked up when he found a hand on his lap, smoothing him.

Kongpob gave a small smile to Arthit who had a worried expression.

"He's a psycho. Bastard," Prem said as he grunted his teeth.

Kongpob looked up at Prem. His blood boiled as he heard Simon and the lady continued to make fun of him in the conversation and along with that they flirted with each other as if they were teenagers.

Kongpob watched as a waiter made his way to the table. The waiter asked for their order and before Arthit could reject it Kongpob asked for a cup of hot tea.

"Kong you okay?" Arthit asked.

Kongpob gave a bright smile to Arthit and nodded his head.

Prem and Arthit shared a confused look. They didn't expect that from Kongpob.

Kongpob tapped his foot as he continued to listen to his husband's conversation. When the cup of tea arrived his table Kongpob tanked the waiter before taking the cup in his hand.

"P'Arthit, don't blame me for what I am about to do."

Before Arthit could react Kongpob stood up and spun his body in front of Simon. Simon was too engrossed with flirting with his new chick that he didn't see Kongpob.

Kongpob's eyes turned red, he splashed the hot tea onto Simon's face.

"What the fuck!?" Simon screamed as he felt the burning sensation on his skin.

The lady who sat beside Simon stood up to argue but when she so who it was her eyes widened.

Simon stood up absurdly and tried to open his eyes while cursing the person who did it. By this time everyone's attention was on the three and some even started shooting the scene on their mobiles.

"What the fuck did you do!?" Simon shouted but when his view became clear his eyes widened at the figure in front of him.

"Kong..." Simon gasped.

Kongpob was fuming in anger. His hands shaking at the sight in front of him.

"You bastard!" Kongpob landed a hard slap on Simon's cheek making the latter fall on the sofa chair where they sat.

Simon soon stood up and was about to reach out for Kongpob when Arthit and Prem came in view. Arthit intervened his fingers with Kongpob, a smirk on his lips as he eyes Simon who was glaring at him.

"Come, let's go P'Arthit," Kongpob said after he took one last look on the two people in front of him.

"Of course Kong," Arthit and Kongpob then walked away.

Prem smirked at Simon who was now glaring at Arthit and Kongpob before he walked away with the couple.

They heard Simon hit the table with his fist in anger.

As soon as the trio got inside the car Kongpob couldn't help but let out his tears. Prem who was on the driving seat eyed Arthit who sat beside him. Arthit nodded his head as he got out of the car and sat beside Kongpob in the passenger seat.

Arthit placed his hand on Kongpob's shoulder and within a second Kongpob turned towards Arthit and hugged him tightly, sobbing onto his chest.

"He was fooling me this many years! He fooled me and I...I believed him!" Kongpob cried.

Arthit patted his mate's back as he placed a kiss on his forehead.

"Kong, it's not your fault. Simon was too good with keeping secrets and you were too innocent to think about things like that. It's not your fault, Kong," Arthit caressed his hair.

Kongpob shut his eyes tight, the scent from his mate calming him.  He clutched onto Arthit's shirt. He felt safe and he didn't want to lose Arthit again. He'll make sure everything turns right.

Kongpob wiped his tears as he pulled himself up from the embrace.

"P'Arthit...."

Arthit hummed.

Kongpob looked up. His eyes filled with determination as he took a deep breath.

"How fast can I get a divorce from that bastard?"
