I woke up on a bench.

In a supermarket.

With an angry Kyoya beside me.

What the actual h**l?

I rubbed my eyes, sighing angrily. "What am I doing here? I'm tired."

"We were kidnapped by your idiot brother." Kyoya said, failing to mask his anger. That's probably why I was still in my pyjamas.

I growled, and stood up. "I'm in no mood for this. I didn't sleep well last night." I rubbed the cuts on my face that had ended up being much deeper than I had anticipated.

"Hm. Look who's talking now."

"I had a particularly bad night, okay." It was true. Tom's attack had triggered some dog nightmares. Yeah, I don't really know why, but, yeah.

"Where are we?" I asked, looking around.

"The Izumi Shopping Center." Kyoya answered.

"Hm, I don't think I've been here yet." I sighed. That meant I didn't know how to get out. Kyoya gave me a look that I chose to ignore.

"This place isn't in walking distance from either of our houses." Kyoya informed me. He checked his pockets and sighed. "I don't have any money on me or my phone."

"Me neither."

A young boy ran into Kyoya, falling to the ground. The boy began to apologize, but ran away, scared after seeing Kyoya's tired, angry face.

"Tamaki's a dead man next time I see him." Kyoya growled.

"Leave him to me." I said, rubbing my temples.

"Kyoya-senpai? Tsuneko?" Came Haru's voice. I looked over to see her walking towards us. "I didn't expect to see you two here today, and together."

"It was my brother." I said hissing slightly. My tail waved around angrily.

"How much money do you have on you, Haruhi?" Kyoya inquired suddenly.

"What?"

The three of us walked over to a fast food place.

"What happened to you?" Haru asked, peering at my war wounds.

"I was attacked." I said, with a little non-chalant shrug. I almost laughed at Haru's horrified expression. "By a cat, I mean. It's not to big of a deal, this cat, Tom, just wouldn't leave me alone. He sucks. I hate him and what him neutered." Kyoya shot me a look that I couldn't quite decipher.

"Kyoya-senpai, are you sure this is where you want to eat?" Haru asked as we walked into the restaurant. "There are much nicer restaurants to chose from upstairs."

"Hey, I'm going to go use the restroom." I cut in quickly. "Please get me some fries." I walked off, leaving the two to their conversation.

I did my business quickly, but I didn't want to leave the restroom. I figured staying with Haru and Kyoya was my best option, but I felt kind of sad and awkward with Kyoya. I sighed, and splashed water on my face.

After a bit of time, I left the bathroom to see Haru and Kyoya eating, and a couple of girls take the open seats at the table where my food was. My food, the only solace during this early and dreary morning.

"Excuse me," I said to the girl next to Haru. "Would you mind moving? I'm with these two, and they happen to have my food. Thanks."

The girl had noticed my irritation and quickly moved. I sat down and ate my fries, trying to ignore Kyoya's gaze that was fixed on me.

I heard Kyoya talking about his motivator being "self-interest" and crap. Which is total bull. I mean, I don't think Kyoya is some secret, huge softie. But, I definitely don't think he's really some cold, manipulative person, like how he wants to be seen.

We walked around the Izumi Shopping Center, looking at the different booths.

"Y'know, Kyoya-senpai, I don't really know anything about your family." Haru said as we walked.

"Well, there's nothing you need to know." Kyoya said. "At least, nothing you should want to know."

"Well that seems a little unfair." Haru said, and I had to hold back my laughter.

"Just what do you mean, unfair?" Kyoya asked with a raised eyebrow.

I cut in, and answered for Haru. "She means, you know just about everything about everyone. She has a right to know some personal info about you. That would make some thing fair."

"That's a very intriguing notion in its own way." Kyoya said. "And you, Tsuneko, certainly are someone strange."

I looked away, my face flushing. Golly, he is just, golly.

"You've got two older brothers, right? You could start by telling us about them." Haru said. "What kind of people are they?"

Kyoya looked up, lost in thought. A sad loom crossed his face, but it was quickly covered up. "They're rather exceptional." Kyoya said, and looked away from me and Haru. I gave Kyoya a sad look. "Enough so that my father puts a lot of stock in them. Though, as third son, things work a little different for me."

I felt my heart break a little. Kyoya deserved to have his father's faith. He works so hard, too hard, just Diego's father's attention. It wasn't very fair.

"I didn't realise you had so much pressure to succeed." Haru said.

"Pressure?" Kyoya asked. "Oh no, Haruhi. I can think of nothing more fun."

That sounded like slight bull.

There was an older woman who was looking at bowls that were claimed to be authentic. Kyoya called out the shopkeeper and helped the old woman. He claimed it was because he was a family client, who he recognized from the woman's ring. But, from where Kyoya was standing, there was no way he could've seen the ring. He could've been helping out a commoner, and would've never known. Just more proof that Kyoya isn't that mean.

"Hey Haruhi," Kyoya called out from a nearby booth. I watched the two from afar, spacing out.

An announcement rang out through the shopping center, describing Kyoya and I. Haru, Kyoya, and I walked up to the office that the announcement said to go to. The twins greeted me, and my brother wrapped me into a big, rib- breaking hug, squealing my name. I giggled lightly, and pushed Tama off of me. I looked behind Tama, and saw a large dog. I froze. I really don't like dogs. The large dog barked, and started running at me.

"No-O! I shouted, running out of the office, not caring that I didn't know how to get back to the office.

I found my way to the shopping center entrance, sat down against a wall and closed my eyes, out of breath.

"Tsuneko." My eyes shot no pen to see Kyoya standing in front of me. "Are you alright?"

"Is the dog still with the others?" I asked. Kyoya raised an eyebrow. "I'm... I'm scared of dogs."

"I had Tamaki return it." Kyoya said, and held out a hand. I took the hand, and Kyoya pulled me up. My stomach rolled around.

Kyoya and I entered a limo that had pulled up to me and Kyoya. The others hosts were already inside (not including Haru). Tama tackled me once I entered the car, crying, and apologizing profusely.

"It's okay, Tama." I told my brother. "Just, don't ever try to get a dig again. And, sleep with an eye open tonight. You don't kidnap people when they wanna sleep in. And, you have to pay Haru back money."

The drive was filled with chatter, and the hosts were dropped off. Kyoyas house was the last stop until I could go home and sleep.

"Tsuneko, would you like to walk with me to my front door?" Kyoya asked. I nodded, and left the limo.

"Tsuneko, I wish to end this... argument." Kyoya said. "I... I realize you were trying to help me, and I apologize. I was right about only one thing. The rest was... incorrect."

"Hey, it's okay, Kyoya." I said, smiling. "I was a bit out of line, and I'm also sorry. I'm glad we aren't arguing anymore."

"As am I." We arrived at Kyoya's door, and he turned to face me.

"I have to ask, what was the one thing you were right about?"

"That we weren't currently in a romantic relationship." Kyoya said, and there was a little twinkle in his eye. "The rest, was wrong."

I stared at Kyoya, as he walked into his house, hope fluttering around behind my ribcage. I walked back to the limo, smiling widely.
