This chapter won't really be centered around Haruhi in Wonderland. Instead, we have plot advancements! Yeah. Sorry in advance.
The last note of my song lingered throughout the room as the hosts attended to their hostly duties to escort the ladies out. I walked over to Kyo, seeing all the paperwork around him.
"Kyo, you look tired." I said, concerned.
"I was up late, working on things for my father." Kyo said warily.
"Kyo, I've told you that you work yourself too hard!" I scolded. "You need to relax!"
"There's things I have to do." Was his simple answer.
"Kyoya, this is bad for your health! What does some job matter if it's destroying your health!" I said, slightly irritated.
Kyo looked at me with an angry face. He pushed up his glasses, causing them to glare in the light. I returned his fierce expression, not willing to back down. Kyo responded in an icy calm tone. "You really have no say in the matter, miss Suou. And, you talk as if we have some kind of close, intimate relationship. And, I must set things straight, we don't. And, we never will."
I pinched the bridge of my nose, holding it together for the time being. "I never thought we had any sort of relationship like that, not did I expect one in the future. Perhaps I sound like that because I care about you. I care about you and what all this work is doing to your health. Now, I'm willing to compromise. I won't bother you in public, but I won't let this go."
With that last statement, I turned on my heel and walked out of Music Room 3. I turned down the corner, and leaned on a wall. I slid down so that I was sitting on the floor and cried.
..::..
I guess I fell asleep, because a voice was telling me to get up. It was a very sweet, child-like voice. I opened my eyes to see Mori, Honey, and Astral standing over me. Honey quickly flew into my arms, hugging me and tearfully telling me not to cry. Astral and Mori sat on either side of me. I gave Honey a bitter smile, hugging him.
"Honey, I don't think I can not cry." I rambled. "I mean, I feel pretty bad. What Kyoya said hit me pretty bad."
"I'll call on the fangirls." Astral said evilly. Mori patted my shoulder.
"I don't think that's necessary." I said, shaking my head. "If he doesn't feel the same, he doesn't feel the same. He has a tighter the way he feels. I mean who am I to-" I cut myself off.
Honey gave me a confused and curious look. Ah, he didn't know how I feel. I sighed, knowing Honey would weasel it out of me using his cuteness.
"Honey, you can't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you, okay?" I said, holding out my pinkie. Honey nodded seriously, and shook my pinkie with his.
"I like Kyoya." I said in a hushed voice. "I like him a lot. He makes me happy, and feel corny and sappy! And he-"
I was cut off by Astral's yelling. "I'm ded! This woman is ded!" (Actual quotes, people, actual quotes.) Honey began to cry, saying things about being sorry and that Kyoya probably didn't mean what he said. I patted Honey's head, giving him an encouraging smile.
"It's okay, Honey. I'm okay. Kyoya can feel whatever he wants to feel." What am I comforting Honey. I let out a sigh, and shrugged.
"Done call me Honey." Honey said suddenly. I looked at him, surprised. "We're best friends now, so you can call me Mitskuni. And Takashi's your best friend now too. So you can call him Takashi." Mori gave a nod.
"Forgotten." Astral said.
"You, me, and Takashi are like the Three Musketeers, here to protect Tsuneko. So, we're best friends too. That means you can call us Mitskuni and Takashi. Kay?" Honey- we, Mitskuni said to Astral. She smiled, and nodded.
I hope everything ends up okay.
I think it will.
Oh my gods, that was a frustrating chapter to write. I was, like, two thirds through, and the chapter was randomly deleted! So I had to rewrite the chapter!
Okay, enough ranting for now.
Bye
