29. someone we can't live without

finishing his pregnancy was the best thing that ever happened. even the way his body was with all the stretch marks from it, he was glad to be able to cuddle up against his lover and walk around without having any back pain.

even if he had to wake up in the middle of the night when his baby cried and when he had to feed his little baby, he enjoyed the new addition to his life.

the family moved out of hangyul's apartment and seungyoun bought them a house instead. it was nice and cozy, just how hangyul liked it. the walls were painted white and it had a modern look to it. dohyon seemed to like it since they were closer to jinwoo's house now.

he started to work out again after jihoon grew a bit older. he was four now and he already knew how to walk, occasionally falling down, but getting back up on his own. dohyon was doing his duties as an older brother and was always around to help jihoon up. and boy was dohyon glad when jihoon started to talk, mumbling incoherent words that only dohyon could understand.

"jiji wants milk bread mom!" dohyon said, running over to his mom in the kitchen, "do we have any left?"

"he does not want milk bread baby" hangyul giggled, "you definitely do and you can have some after lunch okay? we can go out and check on mommy's bakery"

dohyon sulked, running back to his room to check on his baby brother he left unattended for a few seconds. hangyul had trusted jihoon into dohyon's care whenever he was busy cooking or doing laundry. dohyon was happy to have a baby brother after all.

dohyon was growing up too. way too fast in hangyul's eyes of course. he missed his adorable little boy and now, he could barely carry dohyon in his arms anymore. he was going to be sad when jihoon grows up too.

once hangyul finished washing the dishes and dressed up his two boys, they headed outside. fans had adored the new addition to his family and said how jihoon looked exactly like his father. his red eyes and jet black hair— it reminded everyone of a mini seungyoun.

"are you tired yet jiji?" hangyul crouched down, stopping at a red light, "want mommy to carry you?"

the boy shook his head, a bright smile shining on his face as he held onto his mommy's finger, "i'm big boy!"

"oh yes you are" hangyul cooed, getting back up and grabbing dohyon's hand as well as they crossed the street to his bakery, "do you want mommy to make you anything?"

jihoon was always ecstatic when they went to the bakery. he saw all different types of sweets that could fill his sweet tooth. not to mention that he loved anything that had strawberries in them. strawberry covered chocolate, strawberry cake, strawberry shortcake— you name it.

"i want milk bread mom!" dohyon giggled, letting go of hangyul's hand once they got closer to the bakery, "and milk!"

hangyul watched as his oldest son skipped to the bakery. he looked down at his younger son with a smile, "what do you want jiji?"

"s-stawbewwy!" hangyul giggled at jihoon's attempt to say such a big word.

"you want strawberry? strawberry milk?" hangyul asked, following dohyon into his bakery. the toddler nodded, letting go of his mommy's hand to follow his older brother into the back of the bakery.

"why aren't those two sweet?" minhee chuckled, watching as the two kids ran off into the back, probably to play with seungwoo and byungchan's son.

hangyul let out a soft sigh, "i love them"

"shouldn't you be at home resting boss?" eunsang smirked, taking a sip of his coffee.

"oh shut it" hangyul scoffed, "i miss working with you guys"

minhee chuckled, "you get to spend your time at home with two beautiful kids. how could you possibly miss work?"

"because the kids are loud and obnoxious sometimes but they're angels" hangyul replied dreamily, putting on his apron.

"i'm sure they aren't a pain like how daemin is. him and his dad are practically devils" byungchan nudged hangyul's shoulder, "i'm sure jihoon is an angel"

"an angel for sure" hangyul said, grabbing the bag of flour. there was a lingering smile on his face as he whipped together all the ingredients to make milk bread for dohyon.

he made the bread and strawberry milk for jihoon and quickly headed off into his office, where all the children were playing while yunseong watched over them, even though he was on his phone half the time.

"mom!" dohyon dropped down the book he was reading and ran up to his mom, "is that mine?"

"the bread is yours and the milk is jihoon's" hangyul beamed, handing him the plate as he walked over to his baby boy, "jiji baby"

jihoon turned his head and dropped down the crayon he was using. a bright smile shined on his face as he saw the pink liquid in his sippy cup, "stawbewwy milk!" he extended his arms, making grabby hands at hangyul for the cup which hangyul gladly handed over.

"can i shware with minmin?" jihoon asked, pouty lips and glossy eyes looking at his mom.

hangyul patted his son's head, "of course you can! don't make a mess okay?"

jihoon nodded, handing his sippy cup to the older boy. daemin was probably jihoon's closet friend since they spent a lot of time together as kids. they had some sort of attraction to each other even though daemin was quiet and secluded unlike jihoon who was hyper and bubbly.

hangyul smiled at the two boys who continued to draw as they sipped on the milk together. he was about to get on his two feet again until the door of his office opened, revealing his lovely husband. yes, husband. they had gotten married after jihoon turned two and hangyul was proud to call seungyoun his husband.

"hey beautiful" seungyoun closed the door behind him, "hey yunseong"

yunseong smiled, waving at the ceo and taking his leave since he knew the two could watch over the kids. this turned from a cafe job to a daycare job and he didn't know how to play with kids.

"what're you doing here?" hangyul asked, looking into seungyoun's red orbs, "are you on break?"

"uhm" seungyoun nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of his nape, "no?"

"seungyoun!"

"i missed you guys! the kids! my beautiful husband!" seungyoun flushed red, sitting down next to hangyul, "jiji!"

jihoon turned around and smiled, "dada!" he got up on his two feet and ran over to his daddy and engulfed him in a hug, "where were you dada?"

"at work buddy" seungyoun giggled, kissing his son's cheek, "dohyonnie!"

dohyon's head whipped at the mention of his name and he ran to his parents, hugging them tightly, "how was work dad?"

"tiring but i managed to get the next few days off with you angels" seungyoun grinned, sharp fangs showing as always.

hangyul touched his neck, still remembering the feeling of seungyoun's sharp fangs on his neck on the day of their wedding. he remembered how caring seungyoun was when drinking from him, even if he did pass out after. the indents of seungyoun's fangs were still on his neck and he loved it.

"dada staying home?" jihoon cocked his head, "dada going to play with jiji and hyung?"

"that's right baby" seungyoun pinched the black haired vampire's cheeks, "would you like that?"

jihoon nodded, getting up and skipping off to accompany his quiet best friend, "i'm back minmin!" the younger said cheerfully, picking up his crayon and continuing to color.

"welcome back" daemin mumbled, a small smile appearing on his lips. truth be told, jihoon was the only one that could make him smile, other than his parents of course. he had a cold face just like his dad but he could smile. well, he was picky on that but he tried his best.

love was in the air. whether they were as young as daemin and jihoon or as old as seungyoun and hangyul, they all cared for one another. even when dohyon was sulking as he read his book since he was missing jinwoo, they all had a special person in their heart. even the worst people like minjun.

hangyul hadn't seen minjun for a while after seungyoun revealed their relationship to the public a few years ago. he assumed that minjun had found out since it was practically trending in south korea. he shrugged it off, not caring much about the boy at all, though part of him thought minjun had something to talk to him about.

he spoke way too soon and when he was out with dohyon, going plushie shopping, he saw the said vampire at the plushie store. what he didn't expect was a little girl holding his hand— a girl that looked almost the same as the vampire himself.

"minjun?" the name uttered out of hangyul's lips on its own. the vampire turned to look at who called him, only to see the unexpected.

"hangyul?" minjun smiled— smiled? not even a smirk? or a creepy grin? he smiled genuinely? at hangyul?

"what are you doing here?" hangyul asked, looking down at the girl who was staring adoringly at the selection of plushies.

he chuckled, "i could ask you the same. but i guess we're here for our two children and plushies"

hangyul smiled, rubbing the back of his nape, "i suppose yeah"

"uhm" the vampire started, looking down at his feet, "about the past—"

hangyul cut him off, shaking his head, "i don't want to talk about it. i see you've already changed since the last time i saw you and we're in our own paths now"

"yeah" minjun mumbled, "i wanted to say sorry" he looked at hangyul in the eye regretfully, "i was such an asshole back then"

hangyul appreciated the apology, patting minjun's head softly, "its okay. i kind of got over it anyways. its been years since that happened"

"but i still feel like i owe you something for acting like a douchebag" minjun chuckled, looking at his daughter, "hey princess, don't walk too far away from daddy"

"you don't owe me anything", hangyul adored the scene in front of him, "is she your daughter?"

"of course" minjun patted his daughter's head, "i had her with someone i love this time"

"you've grown up then" hangyul snickered, making the vampire huff.

"i had a moment where i liked you too so don't get jealous" minjun rolled his eyes playfully. he took his daughters hand in his.

hangyul snorted, "as if"

"i'm sorry" minjun sighed, "i can't get this asshole side out of me"

"don't be sorry" hangyul turned around, "you should go back home to your lover now" hangyul smiled, "you've changed for the better minjun"

minjun's jaw dropped, but that soon turned into a smile as his lips curved upwards as he saw hangyul walk away. he felt a tug on his hand and he looked down at his daughter, "yes princess?"

"who was that daddy?"

"just an old friend of daddy's" minjun beamed lovingly at his daughter, "lets go find your brother a cute plushie yeah?"

"i think he'd like this puppy one!"

"then lets get him that one"
