09. we all wanna be someone's

hangyul felt better the next day. he still had work, but only for the afternoon shift on weekends. he'd drop off jinwoo at wooseok's place and let him sleepover for the weekend. sometimes he needed that two day break, even if he did love dohyon to bits and pieces.

seungyoun arrived— as always— at the start of his afternoon shift. the bakery closed early during weekends, which hangyul was thankful for since he could have time for himself. well, it was time for him and seungyoun these days.

"when do you finish work?" seungyoun asked, poking his head out of hangyul's office.

"seungyoun!" hangyul whispered a shout, running and pushing him back into the room, closing the door right after, "they're going to see you! and you're not even wearing a mask or your—"

seungyoun put a finger on hangyul's lips, immediately silencing him, "they're going to find out eventually" a cocky smile appeared on his face as hangyul glared at him, "what?"

"aren't you scared of your reputation and image going down because of me?" hangyul mumbled, looking down at his shoes, "if they see me and you they'll think—"

"i don't care what they think" seungyoun scoffed, "i'm tired of wearing this mask and these stupid glasses hangyul"

hangyul's face flushed red hearing the whiny voice come out from the ceo's throat, "t-then don't wear it!"

"but you keep yelling at me and my assistant will probably do the same when i appear on the news" seungyoun pouted, doing cute aegyo in front of hangyul. okay that just made hangyul fake a gag at this point.

"its true" hangyul said, crossing his arms, "i'm scared for your reputation. you're a ceo seungyoun"

seungyoun looked at the slightly shorter boy in the eyes, with full sincerity, "but i'm a vampire. shouldn't i have a life of my own too? i'm not just going to be a ceo for my whole life. i have plans!— like getting married to you and raising dohyon with you and oh! maybe getting a kid of our own"

hangyul's cheeks burned red as he realized what he was hearing. seungyoun wanted to spend the rest of his life with him. why him?

"s-stop it" hangyul lightly pushed seungyoun away as he opened the door of his office, "i-i'm getting back to work" seungyoun heard the door click as he sat himself back down on the couch and let out a breathy sigh. did he fuck up?

he'd learned a lot about hangyul this past month and a half. he'd learn about hangyul's past, his hobbies, his friends— dohyon often told him things too. his love of music and passion for baking sweets made seungyoun's heart flutter. he'd even helped seungyoun with lyrics for songs. who could not like hangyul?

he closed his eyes, leaning back onto the couch and hugged his legs close to his chest. stupid heart. stupid brain. why does he always fuck up? hangyul is going to hate him now. yes, this cold looking vampire ceo was having a mental breakdown because of his crush. who knew this side of him existed.

after hangyul handed his shift over to minhee, he quickly scurried to his office, only to find seungyoun all curled up on the couch. a warm smile appeared on his face, unknowingly as he closed the door behind him and sat down on the couch beside the vampire.

"so handsome" hangyul muttered, hesitantly petting the vampire's hair gently. the locks were as soft as dohyon's. god, he missed dohyon's bubbly existence.

"having fun?" the voice made hangyul slip away from his thoughts. the red eyes were looking right at him, with a smirk plastered on his face. he quickly retracted his hand, holding his with his other hand and looked away with a blush.

"s-shut up" hangyul stuttered. he managed to glance at the ceo only to realize that that same cocky smirk was still on his face, "what're you here for anyways? dohyon isn't here"

seungyoun pouted, "i wanted to see you"

"you tell me that everyday seungyoun" hangyul leaned back onto the couch, "aren't you tired of coming here everyday?"

"of course not" seungyoun answered, ruffling his own head, "i'd never get tired to see you or dohyon. you're a part of my life now"

"it's hard to believe that a ceo got attracted to someone like me" hangyul muttered under his breath, hoping that the red eyed boy couldn't hear him.

unfortunately, thanks to one of seungyoun's vampire powers, he had good hearing. sometimes that was a pain in the ass, but it was quite helpful at times like this. seungyoun's hand cupped hangyul's cheek, making eye contact with the boy, "what's so wrong with it? is it because i'm famous?"

"that's only h-half of it" why was he answering so honestly? he felt seungyoun pull him closer, almost falling on top of him, "w-what're you—"

the red orbs made hangyul freeze, "what's the other half? that you shouldn't be loved because you're nothing special?" hangyul really did freeze this time, swallowing his saliva nervously. he was convinced that the vampire could actually read his thoughts. his heart started to pound against his chest, nervously.

"so what if you think you're nothing special? i think you're special. why do you think i keep coming here everyday? i know you're special. you're talented, caring and supportive. that's why i want you to give me a chance"

hangul felt chills running down his spine as seungyoun's hot breath touched his neck. he held back tears that wanted to run down his cheeks. why was he so good to him? he's nothing.

"so" seungyoun pulled hangyul to his chest, caressing his cheek, "go on a date with me"

hangyul was so sure he turned into a tomato. the handsome, popular, well known, vampire ceo wanted to go on a date with him?

he felt seungyoun hold him tight by the waist, pulling him to his chest, resulting in him resting his head in the crook of the ceo's neck.

"give me a chance. i'll prove to you that i'm more than just a pretty face"
