02. wonder if there's someone
♫
cho seungyoun was a vampire. in this specific society, vampires are able to eat regular human food, however they can only consume a little portion of it since they mostly rely on blood as their meal. that was a shame since this popular ceo loved sweet bread.
sweet bread was his second favorite food after blood, of course. he could have so limited of it or else he'd get sick, which made him curse at himself for being born into a family of vampires. his 'fans' would send him loads of bread but he could only eat so little of it, making him pout from end on end.
"you're going to get sick" seungwoo sighed, rubbing the crown of his head, "we're vampires not humans"
"but that doesn't mean i can't eat this!" seungyoun huffed, ripping another piece of bread and practically inhaling it down his throat.
seungwoo mentally facepalmed himself as he watched his friend finish the pastry. after being his friend for years, he could only know the multiple encounters of seungyoun eating human food— especially sweet bread.
"and then you're going to call me late at night and complain to me how your stomach is crying for help because its full of human shit and not blood" seungwoo rolled his eyes, knowing that he couldn't stop the other vampire.
well, seungyoun did for his fans that were ever so lovely to send him bread right to his door and because he absolutely loved it. seungyoun was good looking alright. he was known around seoul as one of the youngest millionaires of this century. he inherited his family's entertainment company and had the best artists, actors and models.
hangyul was a fan of the music produced form the company, only because he had been a long time fan of seungyoun himself. if he didn't major in culinary, he would've chose music & art all the way. what he didn't expect was the ceo to come to his bakery that one night.
he almost jumped when he heard all the screams coming from outside his shop and slowly, inside his shop. dohyon, who was standing on the step stool in front of the cashier, covered his ears and closed his eyes at all the screeches and the yells coming into the bakery.
"mommy" tears prickled in dohyon's eyes as he ran to his mom who was setting a new plate of croissants in front for display.
hangyul cooed, immediately crouching down to lift up the boy and kiss his cheek, "what's wrong baby?"
"m-mommy's store is supposed to be nice and quiet!" a pout formed on dohyon's lips, as he tried his best not to cry, "why are people screaming?"
hangyul ruffled his son's hair and pinched his cheek, whispering softly, "mommy doesn't know either sweetie. let's go check it out, yeah?" the smaller nodded, wiping away a stray tear that slipped out of his eyes.
hangyul put down his son as he walked to the cashier to see a— a very good looking ceo by the name of cho seungyoun— standing there with a crown of girls with their phones out right behind him. dohyon settles himself onto his steppy stool and peaked up to see a friendly person.
hangyul was absolutely awestruck. to think that the popular ceo would randomly show up in front of his shop felt like a dream. he slapped himself, snapping him out of his trance and clearing his throat.
"c-can i help you?" god why is he stuttering. this is so embarrassing. he heard a chuckle from the ceo's lips, making his ears burn red.
"i'd like some sweet bread" seungyoun looked down at the counter to see a boy peaking out from it, "is this your son?"
hangyul nodded, patting dohyon's head. a smile came onto the boy's face when he realized that all the screams and yells were softened, "my name is d-dohyon and i'm five" he held out five fingers with his hand, making seungyoun giggle.
"nice to meet you dohyon. I'm cho seungyoun!" dohyon's eyes flashed with excitement as the handsome man smiled at him.
hangyul watched the scene in front of him lovingly as he packed the sweet bread for the ceo. the man took out his credit card and made the payment.
"come again mister!" dohyon beamed, waving at the ceo, earning cute coos and giggles from all the people around him. dohyon was one to attract customers back to the bakery because of how cute he was.
"i sure will" seungyoun replied, waving back at the little boy. he turned his attention to the taller boy and winked, leaving the boy speechless and red faced.
to say that hangyul had fallen for the ceo was a given. who wouldn't fall for the handsome ceo? he wasn't delusional and imagined falling in love with such a person that was out of his league like some of his fans— he admired seungyoun's music and the music he produced.
"don't you think he was handsome mommy?" dohyon asked once all of his fans followed him out the door.
hangyul looked down at his son with a big smile, "of course he's handsome sweetie. he's on tv all the time and has tons of fans"
"mommy does too!" dohyon exclaimed, a giggle slipping past his parted lips, "mommy is handsome and pretty and makes the best sweets!"
hangyul smiled from ear to ear, pinching his adorable son's cheeks, "you're handsome too my little baby"
"i'm not a baby mommy. i'm five!" dohyon exclaimed, crossing his arms and huffing. hangyul rolled his eyes at his son and ruffled his soft locks before getting back to work.
needless to say, the wink that the ceo gave him stuck in brain all night. he hardly got any sleep and all that replayed over and over in his head was that wink. he was probably winking at someone else. but then again, he was the only person working there other than dohyon.
he doubted he was going to see the ceo again. he was busy— he was a boss for petes sake! he probably just happened to stumble across the bakery on a whim and went inside.
although that was true, the cute baker did happen to catch seungyoun's eye. looks like he'll be going there more often now.
