XLIII.

(oh crap its been 4 days-
i had no idea of what to do so i just set it aside and worked on a few one shorts until i had a few ideas i could string together.)

False gathered the items she needed for a magic and combat fight as I explained my plan to her in full detail. The grin on her face grew larger as I kept explaining. She went through most of the levels in her base, grabbing things here and there. She nodded towards me, holding rockets tightly. I spread my golden and tan wings, quickly flying up. We agreed to head to my base so I could collect my items.

As we flew over the ocean again, I went over the basics of the plan I had thought of earlier. Get rid of the instructors somehow, save the students and other life (if there is any that I don't know about), and get rid of the entire Facility. Of course, there was more to it, but the details would be a pain to list out in my head. If all goes to plan, there should be no evil Watchers anymore.

If all goes to plan.

What if it doesn't?

What if someone gets hurt, or... what if someone perma-deaths? It'd be my fault for bringing them. What if the students don't cooperate with us? What if one of them gets hurt? What if an instructor escapes and starts a new Facility?

What if there are more than one?

As False and I flew over Sahara, I groaned and dragged my hands down my face. None of the instructors mentioned anything about another learning center, but it's possible.

Wrinkling my nose and exhaling loudly, my base came onto view.

I guess all we can do is hope that this takes care of everything.

False waited around patiently as I shuffled through my storage system, looking for supplies that might be helpful in this risky plan of mine. Food, potions, extra weapons, can't forget that TNT...

"Goodness, why do you know how to craft TNT that quickly?" Zachariah asked as I made a few stacks and shoved them into my inventory. I snickered, shrugging. Zach pressed his lips together in a thin line.

"I uh, liked to pull a lot of pranks where I was from." I explained as I grabbed a flint and steel from a chest. Zachariah pulled the door open, peeking out. No one was around.

"Did things blow up?" Following Zach out the door, we climbed the stairs to a higher hallway.

"... not really. The sound of it sizzling and the explosion happened, but nothing was damaged. Good prank material, honestly."

"Is that the same here?"

"I assume so because the creepers don't damage any terrain, but it doesn't matter if it does, no one will die. I think." I added at the end.

I blinked hard, focusing my vision. The TNT still sat in my hand, the black letting glaring at me. That must have been the shortest flashback I have ever had. The outcome was not expected. Lynnthuic screamed like a girl as Zach and I laughed the entire way back to the dorm.

My heart stopped for a moment, eyebrows slightly lowering. I slowly turned to False. She was sitting on one of my shulker boxes, swinging her legs and staring at the floor.

"Hey." My voice took a lower tone. She looked over to me. "What did you do with Lynnthuic?" False's legs stopped swinging. She crossed her arms and looked away.

"We buried him since his body didn't disappear. It was just a few hours ago, actually, as the perma-deathed don't decay fast." I frowned and looked down. False stood and approached me. I saw her boots come in from the top of my vision. She put her arm around my shoulder, trying to comfort me. I shook my head and gently pushed her arm away, giving her a thankful look.

"Possibly another bad idea, but how about we go with few people and not tell the others?" I said, taking my mind off the death of my classmate.

"I..." she trailed off. "Maybe. Who would we bring? PvPers? Strategists?" I nodded, stretching my large wings out. She took the cure and got her rockets out again.

We spoke about who we should bring with us as we slowly circled my building. Finally agreeing on a small list of Hermits, we headed out to ask them.

False and I swooped through the window of the make-shift infirmary of Stress's base. The three were still there. Mumbo yelped when we landed, attracting the other two's attention. Quinn silently walked over to us, leaning against the wall.

"We can't take long as we have other people to get to," False quickly said, knowing Mumbo, Iskall, and I could talk forever.

False and I explained the plan to the three people there. Questions were answered and the plan was tweaked slightly, but the overall idea was the same.

"There is one thing that you have to get rid of if you want to defeat them. Well, the instructors, of course, but in the control room, there is a large black box. It usually has sparks flashing around it. The center has a floating ball of Watcher magic that is a bit of the instructor's magic combine. You need to destroy it," Quinn explained as swiftly as he could. I slowly nodded, sharing a look with False.

"What is it used for?" I said, though I had a suspicion.

"That's what the masks are connected to. The magic influences the Watcher who puts it on, and that magic comes from there." As he spoke, the world started to get darker. The sun was setting quickly. I looked towards False who nodded.

"Go to my base, we can't get to the Facility through a normal portal," I said, spreading my wings. Before they could say anything, False and I already left.

False and I found Doc working on a part of Area 77. He almost threw his trident at me before he False landed a few blocks away. He lowered it slowly, raising an eyebrow. The shadows on his face flickered from the flames of the torches, lighting up half his face.

We explained a short version of the plan to him. He listened silently with a cold and calculating gaze. After we finished, he silently looked between False and I, seemingly having mixed thoughts. A few tense moments passed before Doc dipped his head once, gesturing with his hand for us to go.

"Meet you at your base very soon. Now shoo," Doc said not unkindly. False and I turned away, leaving him to his own devices.

Fate seemed to work with us since we ran into Joe. He was sitting on top of Sahara, staring at the moon. I smiled at how peaceful he was. We landed on the mob-proof roof. Joe turned, contently smiling as he saw us.

"How can I help you two today?" He politely asked, standing up to greet us. In hushed voices, I, for the third time, explained the plan. I could almost see his thoughts in his eyes; as we spoke he was already analyzing the plan.

"It'd be my pleasure to join you," Joe said, eyes shining with a grin split his face. I have a close-lipped smile in response, spreading my wings and flying upwards.

"Gather what you think you'll need and meet us in my base, the others are there- well, should be there," I said. Joe nodded, and False and I took off, heading towards my base that was just in the distance.

They were there, thankfully. Joe arrived a few minutes after. We have a strategist and many great PvPers. (And yes, Mumbo can actually strategize sometimes. He'd also give me a lecture based only on emotion, which would not be good for me.)

"Should we get the twins now?" I asked. False and I decided to not bother them as they were spending time with each other. False's eyes moved slightly upwards, looking at the entrance to my base. As I looked over my shoulder, I saw the twins fly in.

"Speak of the devil and he shall come... in this case, they," I inaudibly muttered. I started going through my storage again, making sure I didn't forget anything.

"What is this, a cult gathering?" I heard EX ask. I rubbed my forehead, shaking my head back and forth. He always made those types of jokes. I looked through the box that had... more other-worldly things in it. There was an actual spoon in here, a few uno reverse cards, a piece of chalk, a folding table, a painting of Batman on the toilet (please do not ask about that), and many other weird things inside.

My fingers brushed over the Watcher robes I wore back then. Would it be a good idea to change into those?

"One second-" I said, stepping out of everyone's sight. I quickly slipped the robes over my body. Like my elytra, I slightly modified it after I arrived here. Most of it was black with various shades of grey. The hem was white, swirling into intricate patterns. Instead of long sleeves, I cut it to short sleeves for better mobility. The bottom of the robes reached just above my thighs, but if I move fast enough, they will flair dramatically. The robes were closed by a belt that matched the robes.

I looked out one of the large windows. The moon was high in the sky. We were wasting time.

Out in the open part of my base, two people were arguing.

"I don't trust you, you could betray us like you did with your kind," Doc hissed, leaning on his trident he stabbed in the ground.

"Honestly I don't trust myself either- Xelqua finally- I didn't know you knew how to modify clothing." Quinn commented, cutting his sentences off. He said each part in a different type of voice. First downcast, then exasperated, then surprised.

"Neither did I," I chuckled. "Now, we have to go."

"This is extremely risky," Xisuma muttered. I nodded to him, then looked over to Quinn. He took the cue and held his hands up. Golden magic surged in his arms, making the hair on my arms stand up. Is that how the others feel when I use it?

With a ripple of magic, a large portal grew from a small point in the air.

I grinned and glanced behind my shoulder, saying, "Shall we?"

(i sorry i abused my ~¤☆¤~ rights)
