Day 3: Snuggling by the fireplace

Soft footsteps made their way down the stairs, careful not to wake the other students. It was late at night, the moon still high in the sky. Owls could be heard from outside the dorms, searching for food in the cold winters air. Bakugou didn't care how late it was at this point, he just needed to leave his and Kirishima's dorm. Nightmares often plagued the blonde, but tonight of all nights, was the worst. When he first woke up, there was sweat and tears dripping down his face. Nothing like that had ever happened to the blonde, and he was scared. He didn't want Kirishima to see him like this. Bakugou knew that Kirishima wouldn't mind, that he wouldn't judge him. His boyfriend was caring, and would help him through anything, but it was Bakugou who was embarrassed. When the blonde left, he knew Kirishima would come after him, he just didn't know when. Postponing the conversation was all he was doing now.

Finally making it to the lounge, Bakugou decided to turn on the fireplace. After all, it was cold in the common room. Cuddling on the couch in the front of the fire, the blonde twiddled his fingers. Images from his nightmare went flying through his head, reminding him of the terror. Tears began pooling in the blondes eyes again, worrying him. Bakugou slapped himself, hoping to free his eyes of the salty liquid. Turning back to the fire, Bakugou listened closely for any approaching footsteps. If they footsteps belonged to anyone beside Kirishima, he was going to have to run away as quickly as humanly possible. He didn't want anyone else to see him cry.

"Katsuki?" Bakugou was too focused on not crying to realize his boyfriend sneaking up behind him. Turning around quickly, Bakugou managed to fling himself off the couch. His boyfriend approached him slowly, soon sitting down next to him on the floor.

"Katsuki, what's wrong?" Kirishima muttered softly, placing his hand on Bakugou's shoulder. Bakugou turned to his boyfriend, and frowned.

"I had a nightmare o-okay?" The blonde whispered in response, turning away from the redhead in embarrassment. Hearing a small sigh, Bakugou turned back to the redhead. Waiting not another second, Kirishima pulled Bakugou into a tight hug. Soft hands ran up and down the blonde's back, leading him to relax into the other's arms.

"It's okay Katsuki. You know you can tell me anything right? I'll always be here for you. Just remember, I won't ever judge you. Even if you're broken, crying, can't move, or all three, I'll always stay by your side." Kirishima's soft words told Bakugou everything he needed to hear. He was safe in his boyfriends arms. Finally letting lose, Bakugou let the tears fill up in his eyes again, soon spilling over. Fresh tears ran down Bakugou's cheeks, the blonde beginning to shake. He wrapped his arms a little tighter around the redhead, hiding his face away in Kirishima's chest. Shocked, Kirishima pulled the boy into his lap, rocking him softly. Bakugou had finally let Kirishima see his emotions, the ones buried deep inside of his soul. Smiling softly, Kirishima rested his head on top of the blondes, letting him cry out all of his sorrows.

After god knows how long, Bakugou had stopped crying. Now laying on Kirishima's chest, the blonde was completely exhausted. Crying so much seemed to tire him, the redhead could tell.

"E-Eijirou...'m tired." The blonde murmured, lifting his head up a little to look at his boyfriend. As red eyes met red, Kirishima smiled. He knew exactly what to do. Lifting the blonde up, he stood up, plopping the two of them down on the couch. Bakugou was still cuddled into the redheads lap, and pretty much refused to get up. A smile spread across Kirishima's face once again, spotting a blanket resting on the edge of the couch. Leaning slightly to get it, Kirishima draped it over the two of them. The redhead wrapped his arms tightly around his boyfriend, knowing full well what was going to come the next morning. Now, that didn't concern him at all. All he wanted right now was for Bakugou to be happy, and he currently seemed to be. Looking down, Kirishima saw the blonde cuddled into his chest, his thumb actually resting in his somewhat open mouth. Kirishima smiled softly, kissing the blondes head before whispering quietly,

"Good night Katsuki."
